(Today’s post is sponsored by the letter “M”)

Over the past 600+ episodes, The Simpsons has taken us on an amazing journey involving music, science, and food to name a few concepts.

And what better way to start your week, than by discussing some of these concepts Monday morning?

So let’s get started this week by talking about some notable guest stars of Season 4.

In the eighty first episode of The Simpsons, Krusty Gets Kancelled (Season 04, Episode 22), thanks to a wonderful marketing, Springfield is all hyped up in Gabbo fever. Gabbo is set to air in the same timeslot as Krusty the Clown. With his fresh show, high ratings, and popularity, Gabbo gets Krusty cancelled.

Down on his luck, Krusty finds himself on the corner of the street, entertaining for pity cash. Bart and Lisa, distraught by the fall of their hero, come up with a plan to save Krusty. They turn to Krusty’s celebrity friends to have a Krusty special. With the help of these guest stars, Krusty’s special is a hit.

  1. My best memory of Mrs. Midler was her appearance on Seinfeld…macaroni Midler, ..from Milan to Minsk..also an excellent television episode…first memory of the Chili Peppers was doing my first line to “Uplift Mo’ Fo’ Party Plan”…..Gabbo was annoying.

  2. “Krusty Gets Kancelled” (Season 04, Episode 22)
Poor Krusty never gets a break …. but Tappers get Gabbo and Arthur Crandall in the Game App (Burns’ Casino Event 2016).

Celebrity Guests – how pop culture has changed, as there are celebs in this Episode who are no longer with us, and I do remember an unsigned RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS (then billed as ‘Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem’) with half of the band from WHAT IS THIS? (that was their name). I remember when The Weirdo’s Cliff Martinez was on 🥁, and Jack Sherman (R.I.P.) briefly on 🎸.

    Krusty-centric Episode of The Simpsons?

Let’s go with “Clown in the Dumps” (Episode 1, Season 26) – Krusty the Clown retires after he is offended, hurt, heartbroken at his Comedy Cable Channel Roast and because his Father (Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky) dies before telling him whether or not Krusty is funny (there are plenty of Krusty Episodes, this one’s more heartwarming than funny).

Favourite Guest Star who appeared as themselves in an Episode on The Simpsons?

Let’s go with Stephen Hawking, because he’s been in several Episodes (1999, Season 10’s “They Saved Lisa’s Brain”. 2005, Season 16’s “Don’t Fear the Roofer”. 2007, Season 18’s “Stop or My Dog Will Shoot”. 2010, Season 22’s “Elementary School Musical”).

Do you remember the Best Guest Star Bracket Battle?

I do and I’m still Team Betty White! ♥️

Once again, thank you Safi …. this made my Monday fun! 😊
