We’ve received our info packet from EA and we’re FINALLY allowed to share the details with you! Curious about what’s included in the next event? When does it start? How many donuts do you need? Who should you keep free? Want some major event spoilers?! Well look no further…we answer all of that and more here…

Hey everyone, maybe a stupid question but in the pt 2 of “ no business like snow business” im told to make Herb tannenbaum negotiate a special thanks credit but when I press nothing happens, do I have to get the character ? I can’t find him anywhere 🙊
Yes, you need Herb but don’t worry…he’s free! He’s the 4th prize on the Act 1 prize track, so you’ll need to complete that before you can finish the Act 2 prize track. The questline to follow for this one is Out Cold (look for the Get Well Card (pink card) in your task list)

JINGLE SMELLS, BATMAN BELLS, KRUSTY LAID AN EGG!!!! TIS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME O THE YEAR!!! Yooo-hoooo THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO ALYSSA AND SAFI!! LOVE IT!! LOVE most of the prizes, especially the great Quest1 prizes. Awesome Yule decor – really nice Snowmobile, Beautiful Witchs Sleigh, 3 fun Krusty billboards (I like billboards just like Safi) and a Hilarious playable Herb Tannenbaum character! And what a humongous, gorgeous Fortress for Santa! With a Token (nice for us casual players to get some of the pricey yule stuff). And then we get Klipklop and more sleds for Sideshow Mel and Texan.. and then you tell me all the sleds have animated jobs!!! And we get Santa Bob and Elf Moe! So we can actually have several Santas running around town now. And Snake’s house and 2 Xmas facades for free! Plus the extra Trivia prices! It really feels like Xmas this year! Happy Homer days, happy holidays!

I haven’t watched the video so I don’t know if it got mentioned. Is the third prize for Season 33 (after Parasite House and Sasha Reed) going to be in this event or will it likely be released in the new year? Also, thank you Alissa and Safi for all the work you have done at TSTOAddicts over the last several years.
We don’t know. It is not related to this event, so don’t see anything for that. There is a new episode of The Simpsons in a couple weeks. Maybe something comes with that. Maybe not. We will keep you posted as soon as we learn of anything.

So I just finished a chat session with EA Help and this is what I was told..
“First of all I apologize for the inconvenience, I would like to inform you that this is a known issue and has already been reported to the technical team as many players are facing this issue and at this very moment they are trying to fix it.”
So it SOUNDS like it may not be a storage/memory issue after all

I also spoke with them earlier this afternoon. I was basically told the same thing.
However, they added that it could take a couple of days to fix the problem!!! I explained that we were supposed to be playing the XMAS quest and everyone who is unable to would fall behind. I asked if EA would allow us a couple of extra days to finish.

Is the Golden Pick Axe effective only during the event ? Although it’s still a good deal for the short term if you’re diligent about collecting land deeds regularly.
Adding the golden pickax triples your chances of hitting the jackpot when mining donut veins. This effect should last as long as you have lands to open.
Typically you will get anywhere from 1 to 20 donuts from the donut veins. However, every x percent of times, you will hit the Jackpot and earn 100 donuts from the donut vein.
So x percent of times, you get 100 donuts. (1 – x) percent of times, you get 1 to 20 donuts.
What the Golden Pickax does is increase the likelihood of hitting the Jackpot by 3. So every 3x percent of times, you will hit the Jackpot and earn 100 donuts from the donut vein.
So 3x percent of times, you get 100 donuts. (1 – 3x) percent of times, you get 1 to 20 donuts.
I had a few veins that I hadn’t opened prior to getting the pick axe. I suppose it only works on new veins because I received 5 donuts then 16 on the next one, neither are multiples of 3.
It doesn’t triple the donuts on each vein. It triples the chance of getting a jackpot (100 donuts).
I don’t think it said you’d get three times three number of donuts…. I’m pretty sure it said it gives you a three times greater chance of hitting a jackpot vein of lots of donuts. So nothing needs to be a multiple of three.

I got my Gift Card and was able to purchase one of two items in my Last Minute Gifts box. Are you sure you selected the correct answer on the first attempt? You should get a popup message that says correct and when you collect the Gift Card should take you straight to the Last Minute Gifts box.

I will say that gameplay is smooth today and practically anything going on today is smooth compared to yesterday when Amazon Web Services (AWS) went down and knocked everything out of service globally! Have fun Tapping, while I have fun with the Premium Character Combo that is worth the sprinkles (he is Voiced, his Building takes up Real Estate – but not that’s no issue because we got lots of Land mmmkay!) along with a non-voiced Sentient Christmas 🎄! 😊👍🏻

Well, the trick of getting six donuts every day from Yahweh seems to be over..this event update removed his 24-hour task. Maybe it will return if I go ahead and finish the questline? (I realize that, then, I’ll only get it every three days or whatever.) Oh well…it was fun while it lasted! (Strangely, he doesn’t seem to have a 12-hour task either…looks like he’ll be dancing the Señor Burns a lot!)
Yes, the update removed the 24 hour strategic collection. However, you can still earn the donuts ever 52 hours.

I never had the option for the 24hrs task until after completing the 7 4hour tasks, was this anomaly only present for certain players?
No you definitely skipped over it. This was part of the initial questline when you unlocked/purchased Yahweh. The eighth part 52 hour cycle only starts after you complete the questline.
Wait a second, Yahweh gave doughnuts every 24 hours? When? Because I always had to do 7 4 hours task to be able to get Him to do the doughnuts task.
Too late now. But previously if you had not finished Yahweh’s questline, there was a part of the questline that required you to send Moses for 4 hours and Yahweh for 24 hours to earn donuts. If you did NOT send Moses for 4 hours, you could keep sending Yahweh indefinitely every 24 hours for donuts. But they just changed that with this update today. So now the only way is the intended way, to earn donuts every 52 hours by completing seven 4-hour tasks followed by an eighth 24-hour task that earns donuts.
I, too, like that you do spoilers in a video, so I can see things like the start date here, without getting spoiled. Also, I’m all for whatever makes you feel most like continuing this site….8 years is a long time to be providing this generous service to us for nothing! Keep on keepin’ on! 🙂
Same problem on my Fire tablet. Uninstalled, reinstalled. The game downloads but won’t open. My secondary game is working fine on my Android phone, so at least that’s something.
It’s xmas and you may need to buy a new device to play the game. Ho Ho Ho not.
Game crashes when on the loading screen, game now unplayable. Seen that others have mentioned this issue but nothing said in any official channels.
Bought the golden pickaxe. Recouped my investment on second donut vein getting 100 donuts.
Holy macaroni… don’t tempt me, temptress! (or tempt man). I wasted 150 sprinkles on the Lazy I Ranch because I thought that the Hobo Cookie would produce 1 permit per 8 hours (he doesn’t! He still needs 3 papers from the Prospector shack to produce 1 permit, just like the regular 4 prospector characters.. grrrr >:O I wonder if we get to keep the Pickaxe after the Xmas event is over…
