It’s a special day today and a chance for you and I to toast the one and only Awesome Alissa.
It’s thanks to Alissa that we have this site to enjoy, not just for starting it but for keeping it going for all these years.
As many of you know she’s recently been busy, busy, busy – but though you may not see her post as much as she would like she is still working hard behind the scenes.
While it may go un-noticed or unseen Alissa still does a lot for us all. One example is digging out all the raw info and images to help Safi and I write the posts that we do.
I joined the team about six months ago now. Being passably fluent in Website and Computeme helped me to learn to talk WordPress and to make sense of the info, but it really surprised me just how much time it takes to go through that info to find the right bits and put them together.
Then I had to figure how to present it all and create the intros and side-notes and sign-offs. I know my posts are nowhere near as good as the ones Alissa would write.
I might have done nearly a hundred posts by now but there’s over eight thousand of them on here, and that’s given me fresh insight into just how hard Alissa has worked over the years to keep us all informed and entertained.
I tip my hat to you Alissa. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do and I hope you are having the… Best. Birthday. Ever.
