It’s Christmas! It’s Christmas! Santa’s here!!! Woo-hoo!!!
You may notice things a little quiet around here today (you can always find the latest on the Christmas Update here), as the Addicts celebrate Christmas by tearing open packages, over indulging on Christmas cookies…oh and I guess spending time with our families too! 😉
Short Story Long… We are pre-occupied today and hope YOU are too. I think all of us need a day to step away and just relax, unwind, and enjoy those around us. So you won’t see much going on here. Your comments will sit in moderation. Pretty much it is going to be a quiet day on the Addicts sites while we….BRACE YOURSELVES…take a day off. SHOCKING I KNOW!!!
No worries, we promise all won’t be lost in a day. We always have our eyes and ears open. Even if you do not see or hear from us, does not mean we aren’t watching out for you. We will return after the holiday with any changes and more info about the Christmas Event. So for today….ENJOY THE SILENCE!

Just unlocked Maggie!! Merry Christmas to me lol. Also finally buildt the ice couch so I’m done crafting one of everything. Now to save up for another ski chalet or outdoor fireplace 😊
The turkey turned out great with lots left over. Looking forward to some boxing day deals!

Congrats, you lucky dog lol! Man I’m tapping like crazy & still in Maggie😞. I ebb even been waking up around 3:30am my time (no not setting alarm, I haven’t haven’t gone over that edge yet) just having hard time staying asleep, so figure might as well tap, it usually helps put me back to sleep!

Hi David, it gets turned off a lot when they do updates, try to get in habit of checking, to save yourself a lot of grief. I know it’s one more thing to keep track of, but well worth it, it can really hurt when you loose your hard earned sprinkles. It’s happened to most of us at one time one other!

Visited friends this afternoon and noticed I had 10 gifts to give away, is that our gift from EA instead of donuts?
Yup – that started yesterday or the day before. 🙂
Nothing from EA for Christmas this year? Has that happened before.
Oh, and Nadolig Llawen (as we would say in Wales).
I just unlocked Ye Olde Chocolate Shoppe, and it finally hit me that it’s the store from the Land of Chocolate!!
A few quick points.
1. Thanks to all of you for your hard work, quick answers, and putting up with us while we all tap-tap-tap our way through this game. Here’s hoping TSTO and TSTOAddicts has a great 2016.

Thank you. I went to the new Star Wars movie and it made me forget ask about my homesickness. I got to talk to them on the phone and eat the goodies Mom sent me so it was a pretty good day
Hoping all the addicts have/had a Merry Christmas or at least a day off. Presents are opened, breakfast eaten and enjoying everyone busy with new gifts. May 2016 be a wonderful year! EA has been good to us this year with the monorail and the final family member as a playable character. Looking forward to seeing what we will get next year!

No free Xmas donuts???
Ok I was at my auntie house on Xmas day. I tried not to look overly addicted to the game and just grind and grind without doing any planning. The fortress and shack took so long to upgrade. Now Xmas day is just over. I have obtained Maggie and has sent her to zoo. Happy New Year folks!

I don’t even have the shack yet…I’m beginning to get really concerned that I’m a lot further behind than I should be. 🙁
We have 7 more days in this act. You’ll have the shack and finish it way before then. Which mistletoe prize do you have? Chocolate shop. I’m sure I’m ahead of most, I have the hotel.
Got the chocolate shop last night. Working on the shack (level 2?). Finished vandalizing the fortress and shack and working on vandalizing the reindeer burger truck. Working on level 3 of the fortress. No Maggie yet, but that’s okay…I don’t mind waiting. Getting close-ish to finishing the rail yard tasks for the week and finished the weekly challenges this morning (yay 20 douts!). I don’t remeber for sure which Hot Squishee level I’m on, but I think it’s somewhere aroung 16, maybe? I think things are pretty under control, but it does seem that I’m behind most of the “regulars” here. Oh well…whatever. As long as I get everythig in the end (and maybe a round of bonuts…that would be nice…), I’m okay.
The main reason that I wish I was much farther along is that I’d really like to have some time off, so I could do other things IRL, without having to worry about getting everything tapped in time. (You’d think that these long tasks would make it easier in that regard, but it actually makes it harder, because, if I miss the finish time, I don’t end up with enough time to do the next thing before it’s time for bed.) #virtualworldproblems
Check the calendar but it sounds like you’re doing fine. Just remember that you might not want to be as “regular” as some of us regulars. 😜
I only just got my 20 donuts this morning, too, so that should make you feel good. 😳 my squishee station is level 19, saving actually purchasing level 20 for after bonus rounds start. (It won’t have much effect, but why waste the 100 mistletoe.)

I think Riley is the first baby I’ve ever seen that actually looks happy in a Santa picture! I hope that means that she’s a generally happy type of baby….but, either way, she sure is cute!
Hope y’all got the presents you were hoping for…in addition to a couple of other things, my husband got me an Amazon gift card and said, “Here – some donuts for you!” Not sure I’ll spend it all on donuts, but I’m always happy to have a nice balance in my Amazon account. 😀

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! (I’m so excited because last night I was visited by three spirits, a ghost, and an angel that showed me what my life would be like without tapped out and it was all pretty horrifying)…
Everyone deserves a Gift today, (granting permision to skip dropping to anyone whom visually, already has one) so if the person at the very bottom of the list Doesn’t have a gift infront of the Simpson house (or somewhere visable) drop that person one gift (weither they are naughty or nice) and then move to the next person without any visable gifts.
Now I know the the flaws. They may have gifts hiding behind buildings, or they might choose to be naughty (if they are naughty on Christmas Day… Well that’s fine because on Dec. 26th I’m going back to the old rutine and will skip them, but it is Christmas and as I said everyone deserves to open something on Christmas), and yes they may have received plenty of gifts and had them all opened already… No concept is perfect. It’s just what I’ve done today and wish others think about it. Just Think What Would TOTBox Do? :p

I hope some people have done that. I haven’t kept track well enough, so, I’m not sure if I have gotten to everyone. All the names look familiar now. I’m still trying to gift to some low people and naughties, otherwise returning gifts and to addict neighbors. I’m glad we now have 10 to give.

Just headed over to Instagram to take a peak at Riley – why are babies always so ridiculously cute??? – when I started wondering: will we all still be here for her first birthday? Or any after that? Maybe EA will close up shop, or the addicts will finally go into rehab, or any number of things. I don’t mean to be maudlin, just wanted to say let’s enjoy the heck out of this game and each other while we can. I certainly intend to 🙂

I just noticed that they brought back the Act 1 Craftables. Thanks EA. (I hope it’s not just a Christmas Day only thing.)
Merry Christmas. Got Maggie this morning. I didn’t have to fully upgrade the Moonshine Shack to get her. 🙂 (I’m currently working on upgrading it to Level 2. Too bad I didn’t notice this sooner or I wouldn’t have sent one of my characters on upgrading it.) Hope this is the same for everyone else. You still need to finish the Vengeful quest though in order to get her.

(Time you don’t really have),
Eventually you’ll join in our discussions,
You’ll see the same names here on every post,
When we know you, we might add you as a neighbour,
because you’ll need neighbours in this game,
(Just make sure you use the correct thread for that)
Better to have neighbours you can actually talk to,
By that stage, it will be too late, no going back,
You’ll be “one of us”

Pretty much an accurate description, except that the time I first downloaded the game was this summer, during Tapball (when another game based on a tv cartoon became a frustrating chore rather than fun). And some of the frequent commenters here are already neighbors, including Lee, although this may be my first comment on this blog.

As an american, i often don’t understand british humor, but Wodehouse is an exception, and a favorite author. And Gussie Finknottle is a favorite character — I named one of my dogs after him too (not the one in the avatar).
