Where Did THAT Come From – Christmas Clams Sign

Just hear those sleigh bells ring-a-ling, jing jing jing-a-ling too… Yes Addicts it’s lovely weather for an origin together with you!

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

Woo hoo! It’s holiday time in TSTO and with the first Act of goodness comes all sorts of different items. I took my first look at everything and smiled big. Snowmen, merrymakers, holiday facades… so cool. I could probably gush and gush about everything but that’s not what I’m supposed to be doing… it’s time again for me to dip into my noggin of Simpsons info and write about specific stuff. For this post I will be going over one of the craftable items offered with Act I of the 2015 TSTO Holiday Event… Christmas Clams $50 a Pound.  This one cracks me up because even EA knew it would be obscure and decided to actually say where it comes from.

Of course, I recognized this immediately but wonder if EA wants to start doing my job lol. I highly doubt it. I know some folks wouldn’t instantly head off to “White Christmas Blues” (S25:E8) just because EA gave the origin so figured you might like to at least see an image of the decoration in the Best. Show. Ever.

Global warming has ruined snowy Christmases but through a “micro-climate aberration caused by radioactive steam from the Nuclear Plant and Tire Fire particulate”, Springfield ends up the only town in America with snow. Springfield becomes the supreme tourist destination and all the citizens are prepped to gouge the influx of visitors. The enormous amount of strangers makes getting holiday items hard. Marge is forced to buy clams instead of turkey at Swapper Jacks.

So there you have it. One of the EA designers thought this was super funny and designed it as a prize for the 2015 Holiday Event. I can’t lie… I thought the sign was funny when I first saw it in the episode. I’m a little bummed that it disappeared when Act II dropped.  (UPDATE: Yes I wrote this before it came back… woo hoo!)  What do you think? Did you get a chance to craft it?  Ready for the rush of people buying up all the real-world holiday stuff this season? Happy holidays to y’all and TTFN.

Wookiee out!

  1. Haha, maybe a nice bag of Hurricane Chow to go with it!

  2. Christmas Clams $50 a Pound Sign

I finally crafted one (a shame you cannot craft another, or place them in Krustyland)

Thank you EA ( could you please make some of these 2015 Christmas Event items we Craft / Buy available for Krustyland?)

  3. Is there any truth that there will be no crafting in Act 3? Just wondering if I should craft duplicates of things, don’t want to just waste all that crafting currency. Thanks for all of your hard work making this game easy for us 😀

    Happy 2016 Tappers!

  4. It didn’t reappear for you? Mine disappeared then came back a few days later. I crafted it during act 2.

  5. They brought it into crafting again. You have 14 hrs to make it! (I’m sure I’m not the only one leaving this comment.)

  6. All of the Act 1 craftables are back after the last update

  7. I love tire fire particulate.

  8. I had already bought it… but I could have sworn the act 1 items that had disappeared had all come back. In fact, the clam sign and the igloo are both there, and while it won’t let me buy another sign, I’m just about to buy another igloo right now. (As an aside, how do I attach an image to a comment, to show you what I’m seeing?)

  9. The Act I craftables are back, just FYI. So, anyone that missed out on this gem can still get one. Yay!

  10. Uhh you may have wrote this before it happened, but just so you know Wookie, the sign is back in our towns and is craftable (for now at least)

  11. I’m gonna assume this was written before the act 1 craftables were added back into the game and guess that you crafted this when it was added back 🙂
I placed mine in front of the Frying Dutchman.
    Mmmmmm… Christmas clams…

  12. I found that the items that disappeared after Act 1 reappeared after the update that fixed the weekly challenge bug. If anyone who missed out has not noticed, you have a few hours left to craft it.

  13. They brought back the craftables from Act 1. It’s in there right now.

  14. Happy New Year! They did bring the sign back, when they put the fix in for the Christmas Tree Lot that wouldn’t complete in the daily challenge. I too was bummed when I didn’t craft it in time, but was able to do so later.

  15. I thought they did bring back the act 1 stuff for crafting Wookie, go double-check if you want one before it’s too late,

    🙂

  16. It’s back again. All the act one stuff came back just before Christmas I think.
