Viva Las Springfield! The Casino Event has arrived in Springfield…and it’s full of Vegas inspired decorations, buildings and games!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Red Chips (
) to unlock each prize!
The fifth, and final, Act 1 prize awarded at 101,200 (or +29,600 from the Britannia Casino) is Lucius Sweet…because it’s not Vegas without a prize fight and it’s promoter…
So let’s take a closer look at this fourth and final prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 101,200 (or +29,600 from the Britannia Casino) you’ll automatically be awarded Lucius Sweet and you’ll see this message popup:
You’ll have the ability to place Lucius or store him. If you store him you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve him. IMPORTANT: There’s a glitch going around with the Club Cards being awarded with Lucius. If you store him first you won’t be awarded the Club Cards. So my advice, if you haven’t gotten him yet, is DO NOT STORE HIM. Place him, get your cards and then store him (if you want to). If you’ve already won him and weren’t awarded the cards (after you’ve placed him in Springfield), contact EA.
Once you place him you’ll see his character unlock message:

. You’ll see these appear after you’ve unlocked him and cleared the Character Unlock and Character Set screens.

What’s Next?
Well you’ve now finished Act 1! Now it’s time for those Bonuts!
YES! The “BONUTS” (Bonus Donuts) are present for Act 1. Once you have collected the 101,200 Total 
Red Chips needed for the Personal Prizes, you then will get the chance to earn some more for a Bonus Gift. High Roller Bonus
Once you reach the 8500 extra Red Chips, the 3 Donut Box Pop Up will appear and you have a 1 in 3 chance to tap a box and get 3 Donuts. If you do not get the 3 Donuts, you can pay $150,000 to try again until you get the 3 Donuts you want.
Remember Act 2 Starts on Monday March 7th…

Finally got Lucius yesterday, and am close to getting my first round of bonuts. Doesn’t look like I’m going to do as well with that as a lot of my fellow tappers, but at least I should get at least one or two rounds in.
Apologies if this is a stupid question but I just want to be clear. I have over 90 gold chips for play in moves slots or the dice den. Will I lose these when act 2 starts on Monday or will they continue to be used? Would hate to miss out on using them if not. Thank you in advance for your answer 😊 X

I can’t see it either (obviously) but was coming to see if anybody else posted about the glitch. If you’re “seeing double”… then we’ve got the same one.
No way I’m unlocking this guy by end of ACT1. I’m bearly at 89K and as a veteran player purely disappointed in this event. This is the first event I truly hate.
Oh well bring on ACT2 so I can reset and maybe finish that round. We’ll see…
Out of curiosity, did you play Easter? Because most players that hate events for impossible prizes hate Easter.
(This event is much easier than Easter, because it has a prize track instead of a series of mystery boxes.)
Easter was a pain in the ass but this event is also pretty hard in my opinion. Without visiting during work its getting really hard to get all prizes.
Yeah I’ve enjoyed them all until this point, I’ve enjoyed events others find unbearable. I haven’t had problems with EA that others do. I played for a long time without neighbors and a constant daily player and didn’t have trouble unlocking or getting what I wanted in an event. It was a time where I decided to participate, added neighbors and to much avail made the events smoother, which was great. So for comparison this is the first event I’ve began to dislike.
When I think about it it’s the changes made, I can feel it more so in this event, although a challenge is good in my book, I love challenges and figuring out strategy. It’s just the casino theme that’s a bore. the change made to level up crafting, the lack of story and inclusion of characters for currency/items. Buildings not helping with event and switching over to a money payout post-event.
Anyway none of which will prevent m from playing. Im not big on video games, mobile games or anything in comparison but this captivates me and will continue on. When I first downloaded the game, there was something about it that was different and my love for the Simpsons didn’t help either lol.

You should have been around for the “Wheel of Disaster”! Now that was bad! This event on the otherhand is imo is one of the best!
Be careful when you approach the 8,500 mark. You had better nudge it with tapping players. When you’ve reached 8,500 the counter resets to zero and the surplus will be lost!
I’ve had varying results on this… just today I wasn’t paying attention and cleared the casino which took me to bonuts. I figured I’d lost all the excess, but when I looked I was already up to 560 toward the next round. Probably still good advice not to risk it though.
Loving this update upto now and got lucius, some bonuts and created a great area in my town. just wandering if worth stocking up on casino tokens for the next round? Rather than spending now.

Using tokens now can help level up the tower. It might be short sighted to use all my tokens and not have them to get a head start on Act 2, but I’m halfway between level 2 and 3 crafting thanks to coaster and keychain awards from the dice and slots games. Allegedly, once at level 3 there’s no limit on the number of items you can craft (except for the unique items) AND all the crafting items are unlocked.
That said, I think it’s great that as Alissa’s posts have said, we’re each free to play this event in a way that suits us individually.
Now i’ve got Lucius Sweets, what to do with the coins. Can i keep them for act 2 so i’ve got a good start. Or do i have to place the bet to earn donuts with chips because in act 2 there are no more coins to retrieve from the jobs at the casino? Will the currency be something else than the coins?

Just unlocked him tonight. When he unlocked, I earned the Bronze Tower and 1250 chips, so I’m sure I’ll get at least one round of Bonuts too!
Also just one more tier to Level 2 crafting!
Just got Lucius wasn’t sure because I started the event almost 3 days late.
Any ideas if Lucis is required to progress easier in the next act, or is he just another character that has no impact once you’ve earned him?
Trying to decide if I should spend the donuts on him since I’m still 9k away from the casino.

I am so happy that I unlocked Lucius. I wasn’t sure at first. I was tapping day and night. I plan to relax now (after I get some bonuts)! I can’t wait to see what Act 2 has in store.
Ooohh I’ve been playing the quest so haven’t been able to play around with him yet but can’t wait to see his task with Tatum! I love joint tasks unless they require Homer then they hardly ever get seen. I still think my favorite is Comic Book Guy walking with Agnes.
It’s unlikely that I will have enough chips to earn this as I started this even several days late… I will however get enough chips to earn all other prizes and a start on the last one. My question is for all of you that have him …if I get to a point where it isn’t a crazy amount of donuts..how many donuts would he be worth spending? I’m a boxing fan and grew up in the 80s & 90s during the Mike Tyson days so this a character I’d like to have.
Most stand-alone characters in this game go for about 60-100 donuts. If you’d really enjoy having him, and can get him down into that range, then I’d say go for it!
I don’t think I would pay any donuts for him. Maybe ten. He’s not voiced and only has one independent visual task, so I don’t consider him a very exciting character. But I’m not a boxing fan, so it depends entirely what that’s worth to you.

I gotta tap like crazy to get Lucius within 2 days! Only just unlocked Brittania Casino. Once I have all the prizes, I’ll work on designing a Glitter Strip to put all the casinos on (at the moment, I’ve got them stuck everywhere. Cletus’ Dice Den is located behind his farm right next to the SH entrance, just in case the classy folk from SH want some late night illegal shenanigans…)
I’m finding it near impossible to get ahead in this one even though I play it regularly through the day. I think it definitely favours those with unlimited donuts. Anyone else finding it like that?
I just got Lucius early this afternoon and I haven’t spent any donuts at all. Unfortunately I’m unemployed at the moment so I have more time to play the game and tap out gamblers. I also only have one neighbor besides Other Springfield.
Hopefully your luck changes and you can catch up to get all the Act 1 stuff.

I just got Lucius this morning on my non premium B town, but I’ve still got about 5 thousand chips to go before I get him on my premium A town.
I received all prizes without spending any donuts and speaking of donuts 4 rounds of bonuts along with prizes. I keep track when players are ready and hop in to reset them, I play my tokens as I earn them. Tap on all gamblers every time I go into my town, and tap all friends everyday.
You just have to put the time into it and you will earn all prizes. I’m binge watching Simpsons while tapping in between doggie hair cuts and baths. Just watched the Viva Las Vegas thanks to Wookiee telling us which episode (season 10 episode 10), nice to see where all casino event items came from😀 Thanks Wookiee
I have an unrelated question. Is there a limit to number bonsai trees Akira can produce? I noted that after producing about 18 of them, this task no longer appear in my Akira.
Honestly I don’t know…anyone else experience this?
I’ve crafted well over 50, I finally stopped because I love his visual tasks and I was tired of him always being inside.
I’ve got about 120 of them, and the task is still there for Akira.
I have around 180 of them in my inventory and more in my town. I’ve just kept making them since I got him. Just a reminder that if you tap to clear him you have to wait till the money is collected before trying to set the new 12 task. If you do it before that, the task is not there!

Well Rich Texan is a regular character, you can find him anytime in the premium menu. As far as the other 2, it’s possible they’ll come back once the event is over..

Will the game tokens still be active in act II?
If you look at the Players club rewards the game tokens are rewarded as late as step 17.
It’s of a pretty significant strategical value if they’re still valid given that you can save them for two more days and have a bunch of tokens ready to collect the new currency in act II.

I have a question for you guys. I bought the “Sleep Eazy Motel”. It said before I bought it, if you click the question mark, that you will get club card points. I bought it but I didn’t receive anything. Do I need to finish the storyline first or did something go wrong?
If you buy just the sleep eazy you don’t get points. If you buy the deal when you get miss. springfield and the cat hostess costume with sleep eazy you’ll get them. In that case to get the card points you need to use the cat hostess costume. Which means you’ll have to go into your inventory and retrieve it if that’s the combo you purchased.

Use costume for Miss Springfield (it is in your inventory). When you equip it, you get cards.
Any idea if the currency will change for Act 2? Curious if I should start hording my coins for next event?
Currency yes…as in the red chips will turn to green chips. (your counter will reset, so when i say red turns to green i mean you’ll be tasked with collecting green chips instead of red). But crafting remains and Gold Tokens should remain
I unlocked him a couple days ago, I hope rest of the acts will be just as cruisey- shame crafting is the not so cruisey part tho. This even has been nicely paced so far.
