The Casino Event released a TON of new items into our Springfields. Everything from Casinos and fountains to theaters and planes! So let’s take a look at how these new and returning items impact our Conform-O-Meter…
The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.
While the Casino event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring a bunch of buildings and decorations. So let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating: Continue reading →
As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
Special thanks to Addicts reader Bugman for writing this one up! He reached out and asked if he could write up a WDTCF for Lucius and of course we love when you guys contribute so we said absolutely! Y’all may know Bugman from the comments, as he’s a regular in the Open Threads and just about every other post. Thanks again for the help Bugman!
In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?
So a few weeks ago I broke down the ins and outs of crafting. I explained how to craft, how to level up and how you unlocked the currency. What I didn’t explain is what each item does, how it impacts your Springfield and if it’s worth crafting.
So now, I’m taking the time to break down each and every craftable item for the Casino Event. Giving you the info about it, spacing required and if it’s worth crafting or not. So without further ado I bring you the craftable prize breakdown post…
Special thanks to Kim (kimberlyah794) for helping out with this post. Y’all may know Kim from the comments and from some guest posts during the Winter and Casino Event. I thought Kim would have a unique perspective on this as a player who missed out on the falls the first time around, and who has been wanting it to reappear in the game forever. Thanks for the help, again, Kim!
Hey, there, fellow Tappers! We’re neck-deep in poker chips here in Springfield and our friends at EA are tempting us to spend something else that is small and round – DONUTS! There are several new and returning items in the store to tempt you, including Springfield Falls. Wanting to know if it is worth spending your precious donuts? Never fear, we are here to give you the run-down this gorgeous decoration!
Are you feeling lucky? It’s time to roll the dice cause mama needs a new pair of shoes…as the new Casino update hits our TSTO games!
Several new premium characters have hit our games since the event started: Ginger Flanders, Amber Springfield, Hostess Miss Springfield & Casino Boss Bart. All designed to enhance your Casino experience…and of course get you to shell out some of those precious donuts!
Each of the premium characters comes with their own questline, except Ginger and Amber they’re a 2 for the price of 1 deal..so let’s take a look at those questlines now…
The Casino Event Act 3 is now live in our games, are you feeling lucky?!
With the launch of Act 3 a new questline has arrived to help move us through the Casino storyline, and earn more chips! Act 3 runs until March 29th, when the entire Casino Event comes to an end.
Remember, the questline is there to guide you. So when you get stuck on something, or haven’t unlocked something, just follow along with the questline and it’ll take you through everything you need to do. Just look for the Gold Token Icon in your task bar. Any tasks you see associated with that icon are related to the event. So, if you’re stuck…keep going until you no longer see that token.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just what you need to do to build your own mini Vegas in your pocket-sized Springfield…
Well Top o’ the morning to ya Tappers! Happy St. Patrick’s Day….and Happy Casino Act 3! It’s just after 4 am here on the East Coast…and I dragged my tired tushie out of bed to let you know.Act 3 is now live!
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Things should auto-start for you with a task for Mr. Burns (12hrs) and 5 Springfielders (also 12hrs). (if you don’t see it start up it’s most likely because you haven’t placed the House of Cards. You’ll need to place the House of Cards to start Act 3, (questline, prizes will change automatically) which also means you’ll need to finish the Have a Vice Day questline)
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
In just about 11hrs from now the Casino Event Act 2 will come to an end….so finish collecting those last minute green chips because come tomorrow morning (0800 GMT, 4am EDT) you’ll no longer be able to earn those Act 2 prizes for free!
