A few quick FYI’s

EVENT CALENDAR STARTING 6/29/16, DAY 2 OF ISSUE 2

As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER the Act releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the New Act. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE the Act ends, as it will give you enough time to focus on all the other last minute stuff.

Superheroes 2 Issue 2 Calendar

Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 13 days based off of approximately  4981ico_cur_superheroes2_soylentred_lgSoilant Red a day.

Again, do not panic. Remember that it is slow going at first so you may “appear” and feel like you are behind, but as you progress through the Questlines and Event you will start to see that you are getting more and more and more each day. Just go at a pace that fits you, but remember the more you play the more you will get. These are totals you want to reach by the end of each day if possible.

  1. I’m still seeing ppl w more than the 3 fights a day limit. Am I doing something wrong? I have 38 fights todate , some have as many as 50?? How??

    • They just make sure they do fights at exactly every 24 hrs. The event has been going for 18 days or so that’s potentially 54 fights.

      • ty … that was driving me crazy. how did i miss days, enough to overlook a week?? so it’s been small hours i’ve been losing daily and it’s all adding up, but i can’t see losing that many hours. mkay. ty for answering. 🙂 my math is off and i’ve been doing it all wrong it seems…LOL. i thought the 3 fights a day was “a set 24hr thing” and not something we could “go around” losing. lol.

      • It is possible today I reached 57 social fights

  2. Any idea why I can’t use bartman for any superhero stuff? And why radioactiveman can’t get blueprints?

    • Since Bartman hasn’t be re-released yet, he’s just something folks have from last event. Same for Radioactive Man. Maybe if they come back this will change.

  3. Sooo… the WiFi at work is what you’d expect the WiFi to be if you were in prison, so that kinda sucks. But the way they set up this event makes it so tedious. I’m glad they added the “Quik Battle” option, but there’s no ability to control the settings, so to speak, so you’re left with a basic battle (no option to set up “If-Then” options like healing or switching out players.) But if you’re releasing the hounds, er, Felons, three at a time on a regular basis, the Fast Battle option is to your (my) advantage. What I’m really interested in is the Friend Felon Battle part. My observation has been you can only fight three friend fights (with your Felons) per 24 hours, but that may not be right. Three per friend per 24 hours?

Anyway, my biggest question is for Alissa: How do you take care of a young child and find the time to play TSTO? We have a 3-month old and it seems like he takes up all of our time. If I could train him to play TSTO for me, that would be great, but I don’t see that happening any time soon…

    😀

  4. Canada Day was an extra happy day. I unlocked Stretch Dude.

As for bonuts, they are back in Issue 2. However, they require 12,000 (not 10,000) soilant red for the first round of bonuts.

I assume it will stay at 12,000 soilant red (as it stayed at 10,000 knuckles in Issue 1). But I won’t be able to confirm that until I get my first round of bonuts complete tomorrow.

    • Oh and as expected, Stretch Dude and Bartman are two separate characters in battle mode.

      • Ah, ok/thanks. Just noticed it in the prize track (that Stretch Dude is a ‘Brains’ character) and was going to ask if you were going to be able to change the type of character by changing Bart’s costume (which would, IMHO, make more sense).

But I like this option (getting to double-dip) *much* better. 🙂

  5. I was wondering if i should use the trading cards for the water tower thingy or buy another set of zenith buildings, not sure what the water tower does + i allready got the one from issue 1.

    Anyone got a good idea?

    • I have one of each and plan to get more Zenith buildings next.

    • I also have one each. The water warf from this prize track is pretty useless. I think the Zenith building pack 1 is better. They all (3) generate $$

However, I think am going to start my doubles with the water warf, only because it is a water item.
I am 5 days ahead of the calendar so I hope that means I’ll be able to collect the warf, tree, and the zenith buildings at least twice.

      • I bought the next set of zenith buildings 😊 The $$ comes in handy! Hope i can buy 2 of each item but looking forward it wont be a problem at all

  6. Where does the Flying Eagle come up!?I’ve seen it in other towns, so just wondering!

  7. Really was looking forward to the calender. Like issue 1, im way ahead of schedule bit i wasted to make sure lol.

Just recieved the helicopter and cant wait to see what the plastic prison is like

  8. I just got clobber girl ^__^
Thanks, I thought I was behind

  9. I’m two thousand behind but it is fairly easy to catch up! Yesterday I was at zero now I have 7,000

  10. I’m managing to play maybe 2 or 3 times a day if the crappy hotel WiFi doesn’t kick me off here in Turkey. It’s going to be close! It didn’t help that the update for issue 2 then forced my phone into downloading the whole 1038 Mb which took me 24 hours.

  11. Josephine Kick@$$

Hey, did you guys know they… 😂😘😘😘😘😘

  12. Who’s the biggest loser? I must be the biggest loser in this event so far I think. I just got my 1,000th loss. Woohoo!

    http://i67.tinypic.com/viejo.png

I should be over a full week ahead of the Issue 2 calendar by the time I go to bed tonight.

  13. Not sure where else to put this, but it looks like EA fixed the social battles prize track. I logged in and suddenly unlocked 3 more prizes. I’ve only fought 36 battles and as of last night wasn’t even close to STEMantha

  14. So they just changed the amount of battles you need for the social prizes. I guess it shouldn’t be a problem at all anymore.

  15. Josephine Kick@$$

If Soilant Red is anything like Soylent Green, I’ll pass 😂

  16. Thank you for the info as always 🙂

  17. A fourth prison for Springfield? Considering the effectiveness of the local police force, one would think they’d have trouble even filling one, let alone four 😉

    • LOL this is my train of thought exactly. Springfield must have the least overcrowded prisons in the country.

  18. Another prison? What is that? 5 or 6 prisons now? There sure is a lot of crime around Springfield. 😉

    • I just unlocked the prison prize. It’s really not like the other prisons at all. It’s not a building, but a decoration.

A cool decoration that lights up when you tap it, but a decoration none the less. Doesn’t generate income, have tasks there, or an associated XP bonus.

  19. so you can still miss at least a day and still get all the social battle prizes?

    • Previously the answer would have been no, but they just sent out an update drastically reducing the number of social battles needed for each prize.

      • Previously the answer was yes, not no. It wasn’t just miss one day and you can kiss the last prize goodbye. It was miss four (or probably eight) days and no prize.

But moot point now, as now you can miss over a third of the event and still get it.

    • It looks like EA finally updated the social prices calendar. Meaning, they have reduced the amount of social battles required to get to each of the items. Their prior social battles prize track would have been very difficult to achieve for most players given the ridiculous daily timer. I’m glad this was updated, otherwise I’m sure there would have been many frustrated players at the end of this event.

    • When I first saw this social prize track.. I didn’t even bother trying for it the first 2 days of the event. I missed the first 2 days of the event too, so make that a total of 4.

Then someone told me, you can lose the battles you dont have to win.. So I sort of tried. But I had no motivation to win, because in my head, I felt I would never get that last prize, which is the only one I really wanted from the track.

I am SO happy for this update! If I do get the last prize, it will be because of this.

  20. Hi Bunny, hope today has you felling ok! Still praying and sending you love and positive energy everyday.
Thanks so much for calendar, and on first day of update. You rock girl!

  21. I’m still annoyed that there’s no way to catch up on the social track calendar. You miss one day and that’s it-no way you’re able to win.

Do you think EA will up the amount of matches to something more than 3?

    • We’re hoping they fix it but only time will tell.

    • By no means is it just one day and you’re out.

Keep in mind, as of 15 minutes ago, 14 full days have elapsed, so we could be as high as 42 battles right now.

The counter shows 28 days left, so we have the opportunity for 84 more battles.

So EA did give us the opportunity for 126 battles minimum. We need 115 battles out of 126, which means they gave us at the very least enough space to miss 11 battles (3.6 days)

Now also note, the Satellite Station is still available for 32 days, which leads me to believe the take down of the event won’t be until 4 days beyond the actual end date of the event. So the 126 becomes 138 battles.

We need 115 battles out of 138, which means they gave us enough space to miss just over a whole week, 23 battles (7.6 days). Also, the take down will probably not be automatic but rather an app store update takedown, so add another extra day or two.

Unless you have a glitch where you were unable to participate in Social Battles for several days, I personally don’t think it’s unreasonable that they have the ultimate prize only be available to those who make the time and effort to tap like addicts and check in every day (and maybe miss up to 7 days in a month and a half).

Don’t get me wrong, it would be great if everyone got all the prizes, but they shouldn’t have to spoon-feed everyone that doesn’t play regularly and doesn’t notice a new event started until a week into the new event and misses 7 days in a month and a half.

I know with the like button, I probably won’t get too many likes. Would have been cool to see how many dislikes this comment would get if Word Press had a dislike button.

      • Safi – I like your comment and will expand upon it. EA could and should build in a frequent player mechanism and this could be such a thing. I play 4x daily and like being rewarded for such.

I haven’t paid a dollar since the original Whacking Day but I have quite an extensive and highly designed city because I do play so much. I dare say I have one of the largest Attack of Clones mazes in existence 🙂 It’s rare a day goes by now that I don’t earn a donut or 6 for free. I like this and feel I’m being rewarded as such. I can’t buy everything (they raised prices a bit on event items) but I can definitely buy some things now and really appreciate it. I could not do this before and would have to wait months to collect donuts.

I don’t think they should “dumb” the game down to the lowest common denominator player and cater to their needs forcing us to be bored. If I want to play neurotically let me and give me something to do accomplishing this. There is already a mechanism for the casual player to participate and earn something…

        • Brian and Safi,

I can relate to your position, but you sound a bit entitled on this issue. It’s great that you can get the maximum every day. Not everyone can. Some people play multiple times per day, but simply can’t predict the exact moment they’ll be able to log on. They have jobs, lives, families, deadlines, travel plans, sleep issues, etc.

I’m not suggesting that people who skip a week, or log in once a day, should expect all the prizes, the same income, etc., as you. But I play 4x/day, too, on average. On a rare day, I only have time to clear my town and send everyone on 24-hour jobs. But I make up for it other days. I probably put in about as much time as you, and if I have to “catch up” I’m willing to put in more.

The issue is with the confusion in the early days regarding how social battles worked, confusion over the clock resetting, and the gradual “creeping” forward of the clock. It’s causing people to fall behind. I can imagine it causing someone to miss a day, if they had been starting their felon battles at night and they gradually got to the point where it’s bedtime. Fall asleep early? Woops. Now you’re 8 hours behind. Start time keeps getting pushed later and later, and now you can’t play before work? Woops. There’s 4 or 8 more hours.

If you’re tapping away, you ARE going to earn a “frequent player” benefit. You’ll earn all the prizes, which most players don’t. You’ll earn far more bonuts, which even serious players sometimes can’t get (or can’t get as many). Every day, you’ll be getting more bonuts from Where’s Maggie, friend donuts, etc., due to your ability to play right when your clock resets. You’ll be leveling up faster, earning more bonuts. And you’ll be earning far more cash which, yes, you can turn into even more bonuts. And with those, you’ll have premium items and a better Springfield.

I don’t say this to sound condescending (especially to Safi, who is very generous with tips and tricks for the community). I know you just feel that, as a loyal player, you should have some sort of exclusive benefit that more casual players don’t get. Well, you do, in a way. And if you were to be treated even better, you’d see serious-but-too-busy-too-be-obsessed players like me feel neglected and quit. EA makes a judgment, and I agree with it here.

          🙂

          • Agree with your statements, but disagree with what you refer to as a “casual player”. From what you described, I don’t consider you a “casual player” at all and you would fit into the first part of my comment geared towards reassuring regular players.

The first part of my comment was for those who are in their mid-20’s or 30’s when it comes to number of Social Battles participated in. You have people who are at 27, 33, and 39, freaking out that their neighbour has 45 as of today, and think there is absolutely no hope of getting the last prize. These people are generally those that check in everyday, or over 95% of the days. I wouldn’t call that a casual player. If they continue to play everyday, even with a lag in start time as you mention due to work or sleep schedules, they should still be able to easily make it to the last prize. This notion that you miss one day and you can kiss the last prize goodbye is ridiculous.

The second part, with the “sense of entitlement”, was geared at those who don’t even have 15 social battles yet. Who miss more than one week per month, the true “casual players” in my opinion. Those who will go a few days without tapping, than tap a couple days, comment about how the game is not letting them catch up, and then disappear again for a few days from the game. They’ve been spoiled in the past in events like Stonecutters or Wild Wild West, where even if they came in on Day 8, they could complete the first seven days and do the eighth day task as well and be caught right up immediately. Not having missed social battles roll over really affects them a lot.

It affects the regular players like you and me, to a much lesser degree. Now I will argue EA definitely didn’t help the regular players by having a variable reset time and not publishing the reset time. But even with the start time being pushed back a bit each day, and eventually skipping over to the next morning, they have given enough breathing room to still reach the last prize (as I try to explain mathematically to regular players in the first part of the comment).

I agree it would be nice if the game would automatically notify you there is an update waiting in your app store. Starting 2 or 3 days late could be avoided by such a notification. But not checking for an update at least every couple days on the heels of the previous event ending, some blame should go to the casual player if they don’t notice an update has been in their app store for 4 or more days.

I currently have plenty of time whilst unemployed and if I was still at the job I was at for the past couple years, there is no way I’d already have all Issue 2 items crafted and have over 20,000 soilant red less than 24 hours into the Issue (unless I spent donuts to rush items, which even when I was getting a paycheque I didn’t waste precious donuts on). But even when I was working, I made time to play at least once every day, and as a result never missed an item. I might not have been at 45 Social Battles with STEM-antha already, but I’d still be at 36 at least right now (probably 39 based on how my hours were). I didn’t get nearly as many bonuts as I do now, but of course that was expected on my part. But whenever I played regularly, I got all the items. When I was breifly playing casually in October 2013 because of a destination wedding for my sisters wedding, I obviously missed some items in the Halloween event; primarily as I seldom had internet access. But that was expected. I didn’t complain or expect that EA should just let me catch up for just playing 3 times for 15 minutes in a two week period.

          • Scruffy, you sound like me.. and I am not a casual player.
I’m a mom, with one and another the way, a full time job, with long hours and a long commute.. I have duties around the house, appointments to attend.. etc.

But I find, the trick (after playing since this game first came out), is to set your alarm on your phone. Simple as that.
            Mine is called ‘tsto’.
I sneak out to the washroom if I must (during work hours) or sure I may ‘lose’ an hour on the reset.

Also late night, when I wake up to use the washroom I log in (only during an event) and at most in this event, release the felons and tap burns mansion.. that’s it.

There are times, where I take weeks off or maybe even a month. And those are the times I miss out.

But I think we are ‘regular’ players 😉

        • I must agree with you Brian.

I often think back when the game first came out. It was virtually impossible to get free donuts, therefore the premium prizes.

Now with the Maggie Game, the regular Friendship prize track (after being maxed) and maxing out on the levels, it is far easier to get some donuts!

I too, can finally consider buying the premium items! I FINALLY bought plopper.. that was my most expensive premium item ever bought.

      • 42? I am currently at 36, even though I play several times a day. Problem is, I lose time every day. It would be so much easier if it reset at a certain time every day.

      • Hi Safi. I agree that dedicated players should be rewarded above the casual player. There is a since of pride when showing our battle scars.

You comment: “they shouldn’t have to spoon-feed everyone… and doesn’t notice a new event started until a week into the new event and misses 7 days in a month and a half.” is an interesting undercurrent grump I have had with this game for a long time. I think EA is wrong here in assuming that everyone, even many very dedicated players, read the blogs and forums about this game on a daily basis. Maybe blogs and forums are not their thing, but their Springfield is. EA should make the game ITSELF clearly indicate to players that a new event is starting and there is an update that you certainly want. When there is a new event that covers 40 days, and every inch counts, EA is dropping the ball on communication to so many that is their bread and butter.

I love this site and visit every day. But there are many that do not, and If they are now a few inches behind, feeling they will never catch up and reach their final battle scars to display proudly, it is because EA is dropping the ball of communication. Give a heads-up EA. How simple is that?

        • ^ this

        • I agree it would be nice if the game would automatically notify you there is an update waiting in your app store. Starting 2 or 3 days late could be avoided by such a notification. But not checking for an update at least every couple days on the heels of the previous event ending, some blame should go to the casual player if they don’t notice an update has been in their app store for 4 or more days.

I don’t know how it is on other devices, but my iPad app store clearly shows me there is an update. Likewise, my Samsung Galaxy S4 doesn’t open the app when there is an update without first notifying me.

          • EA really should make the start of an event a forced update as it’s not just the casual player who gets caught by an event starting and they don’t know about it…

I seldom check the App Store unless I absolutely have to. With this event we all knew a new event was coming but I certainly didn’t expect it to start before the previous one had even finished. And it’s unusual for events to start at 12am my time (unusual, though not unheard of). Even reading this site every day I only found out about it because, just before I went to sleep, I was checking out the Addicts Flickr page and someone posted a pic of Orphan Alley. My initial reaction was that they had a hacked game as the previous event was still going but I went and checked just in case and sure enough there it was.

Admittedly I was only 40 minutes late but there are serious players out there who (shock! horror! dismay!) do not follow the Best. Website. Ever.

There have also been events that I have only realised they have started while doing Neighbour visits and the game telling me that a neighbour had newer content and I needed to update my game to visit them…

Just think it would make players happier to have a forced update so that they start as close to the beginning of an event as possible. And happy players tend to spend more money….

            • Josephine Kick@$$

I used to play solely on my iPhone, but recently acquired a new Samsung Tab. I love playing on the tab, it doesn’t tie up my phone, & I can sure see better. The only disadvantage I’ve found is my iPhone notifies me when there’s an update, but the tab doesn’t. 😊

    • I was stuck on receiving the Social prizes for awhile only being awarded the Kiosk (third one).

This issue seems to have been resolved today.
All of a sudden I was awarded multiple social prizes when I opened my game this morning.
      I just got:
      #4) STEM-antha
#5) Trading Card Box (was put in my inventory)
      #6) Gluteus

Where is everyone at on their prize list?
My next prize I’m waiting on is #7 (Pie Man Epic Statue).

  22. Thanks Bunny. I really want the helicopter!

  23. Erm…without going into details…my felon spawn timer has a bug…anyone else?

    Thanks for the calendar ♡

  24. Soliant Red looks like a pack of cigarettes..

  25. I love your opening so much! The Wizard of Oz reference cracked me up and you included your love of Simpsons! Such a good opening for such a good post, thank you SO much!!!

  26. OMG! SO SO SO Happy with these prizes! Stretch dude and clobber girl!!!!!

  27. I don’t like that you can’t rotate the Solent red factory. Otherwise, I’m glad act two is here.

    • I’m sure they will amend that over time, from the sounds of it there are a few little bugs in this, this may be one oversight.

  28. The last few days of Issue I, I left most of my felons groups with 1 felon and 1 or 2 hearts. I clobbered them in the beginning of Issue II. So I got a good head start. Probably get Clobber girl today.
Let’s see how it works out with the social prizes. Doesn’t seem any changes, so it’s still a tight schedule and I’ll be a weekend off in the woods…

  29. Wow! U r fast! Thx, Bunny. Hope u r feeling better.

  30. WWHHEERREE’SS TTHHEE CCAALLEENNDDAARR?? ;P
