It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky, there are monsters everywhere to battle and (as with all events) there are LOADS of items from Halloweens past to spend those sprinkles on!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

My Opinion On Him Now: This price is unchanged from the last time he was released, and my opinion on him is unchanged. It’s an awesome combo. The Drive-In alone has one of the best animations in the game. If you don’t already own this one, take a look at the original SIB and think about picking him up.
Also, for the current THOH Event (2016) he has the added benefit of helping you earn more Event currency every 4hrs at the MAG Building.

I didn’t plan on buying this but man I’m glad I did. Totally worth it even though it looks like I’ll only have enough donuts for one more item this event.

Is the space mutant and the space marshmallow the same character? Just bought the drive in and I can’t find the space mutant.

I got him last year and I still love him. Also the drive in has an awesome aesthetic. And I love movies. Win win win.
But you still can’t put extra cars 🚗🚕🚙 in the right direction 😡
I love this guy! Love the way he coughs up a cat at the end of a task. The only thing that might improve this is adding more and longer lasting movies to the drive in (I’ve been waiting a long time to see the Bloodening!).
I’ll be getting him on Friday. It seems worth the buy.

I decided to pick it up. Felt a bit too pricey, but seeing the enjoyment it brings to others has convinced me. Liking it more than I thought I would. Now it looks like I will be needing some more donuts!

I passed on this twice, but finally got it this year. Having some trouble designing it to my satisfaction, but so far I like it.
I love this combo! I just wish that the Drive-In Theater had a longer-time option…I think it would be entirely appropriate for a drive-in to have a double-feature option!
Or a 14-hour Cosmic Wars marathon!

Or.. just leave it playing for a little while (don’t collect the money as soon as the movie is over) 😛 I feel sorry for anyone at my drive in, I only ever have “the happy little elves” movie playing, but I guess Lisa and Maggie would be happy. lol 😀 🐱🌸🌟
I’ve been wanting this combo for a long time. I made sure to have enough doughnuts saved up in anticipation of its re-release. Super cool. 😎
I just discovered one little annoying thing about the drive in theater. You can’t make either the theater or any of the cars in town face the right way. What I mean is- though the cars included with the theater face the movie screen, no other cars (save one weird one with a giant magnet hanging off the back) are capable of facing the movie screen.
I gave it a small extra lot with a fleet-a-pita in it. That’s all I could come up with.
I cant find a “should I buy” for Witch Marge. Does she earn event currency?
P.S. I am getting a HUGE update right now. It looks like a couple different updates.
I think the update has fixed the problem with “invincible” feral rats.
I just got it when I signed on, and the ferals are all acting normal again…the two untappable rats are gone.
Alas, Witch Marge doesn’t EArn event currency.
I hope this will change, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Don’t know about this one. Feel like I want to save my donuts for Boobarella. I have almost 400 (I think) but want to save some for Thanksgiving/Black Friday. Also not a big fan of paying that many donuts for something that was a free prize in the past.

You can play 4 different movies at it.
it play’s movies on the screen it has about 5 different ones all of them giving you different amounts of money and the guy is a monster that does quest in your town that is always great
You can choose one of four movies to play on the screen. “Space Mutants XVII” is my favorite.
Me too – but I go with the elves during December to be seasonally appropriate.
The Drive-In was always premium. I think the questline also gives you 10 donuts reward if you have the Krustylu Studios too.
Can anyone confirm this? It might help me decide to get it.

Space Mutant has a task that eats out of a garbage bin. And another that sees him go berserk on a rampage. Both are really funny.
I don’t believe it was a prize when it first debuted. It was always premium. I have it and I really enjoy the character and the building.

I’ve been playing since before the movie theater was released & I can assure you that it has never been offered as a prize. I feel the same way as you do about buying items that were available to earn for free….by the way,,I broke down & got the mutant. Figure its something unique for my town….

I believe this was always premium. I own both this and Boobarella, and I would go for this one every time. This is the first time B has been helpful at all (she has a task to help at the MAG office), but so does the space mutant. She does nothing else really, where he has the drive in with the cool movie choices (including Halloween and Christmas season), as well as excellent visual tasks (eating out of the dumpster with the cats is hilarious). Not even a comparison in my mind – I’d get the drive in every time.
I agree, this combo is worthy use of those hard-earned donuts. I bought it last Halloween, and I enjoy watching the Space Mutant’s various tasks (eating from the dumpster cracks me up every time), and the bonus event currency for this year makes this a must buy!
I got the space mutant and drive-in last time they were available. I love it and would tell anyone that it is a must-buy.
I got this the first time released, and never regretted it. The theater has cool animation, and funny movies. And Space Mutant has a fun quest line, and a couple hilarious task animations… Eating from a dumpster (8hr) is my favorite, but Rampage (24hr) is good, too.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I seem to recall players get a 10 donut prize at the end of Space Mutant’s questline. Is this still so? It effectively makes the combo 140D, so a little cheaper.
Regardless, it’s still a good deal at 150D.

Complete the first part of the quest line and then you will get him/it. I am saving the rest of the quest line for after the event as there is no benefit to completing it.

I totally agree with you.I got him the first time he was available. Mainly because of the “Bored of Things” task. I am a big fan of Lord of the Rings. I even was the main reason to visit New Zealand 🇳🇿
