My Opinion On It Now: 80 Donuts for a “building” & a skin for a character is ok. It does turn Wolfcastle into a premium character & he has some fun tasks. But at the end of the day you’re just getting a skin for an existing character, not another character. Missed out on the Duffman deal a couple weeks ago. I should have enough donuts to pick this up even cheaper now sans Lady Duff. So psyched to finally get him.

I feel like this is becoming a trend of the recent events…offering existing characters at a discount rather than new premium characters. Is this a signal of the beginning of the end? Are they running out of characters to offer? It can only go so far, after all…

I think they’re just trying to get players to buy other premium characters with all the free donuts they’re getting. By offering a ton of stuff at a discount a lot of people will grab it & then offering new stuff a lot of people want that too. So they’re really trying to get you to go through your free donuts & then get you to spend real money…
Tatum & Miss Springfield were the last 2 freemium/now premium characters I missed back from Whacking Day. I picked up Miss Springfield in the Casino event and so had to grab Tatum on sale. I also picked up Volcano lair on sale now too. I’m tempted by Lurleen but I think I will wait until I see how much some of the villains will be later in the event.
Funny them offering another Duffman bundle so soon after St Patrick’s Day.

I got both Gabbo and Lucius during the casino event. They’ve been in storage until now. Not my favorites. I’m debating spending real cash to get Duffman. I spent my sprinkles on Hank and not laser sharks

These 2 seem like the best deals on Premium Characters, as the rest are just Freemiums you earned now being offered for Donuts (no thanks, EA – but thank you for the discounted Character / Building Combos) 👍👌
But if you weren’t there to get them for free and they’re characters you want, why wouldn’t they be good deals, even if they were originally free? I don’t think something’s present value can be measured by its past value. No one would ever collect baseball cards or stamps or coins if that were the case!
It’s funny, I was just watching something about “sales” and techniques businesses use to get people to buy things. Apparently we will often be more likely to purchase an item if the price tag shows the RRP as well as the sale price e.g. “Was $14.99, now $9.99”, not just the sale price. It makes us feel good to know we’ve got a discounted item. Whereas seeing something you thought was a bargain and then later seeing it at an even lower price- well that makes us feel not so good/duped! We feel robbed in a way. Whereas in the previous scenario we’ve one upped ‘the ‘man’ in some way/ we were clever.

For this event I bought: Mastermind Hank Scorpio, Lurleen and Drederick Tatum.

I bought him for 150 w/ the Lady Duff skin. If given the choice, I would’ve paid the 130 without Lady Duff. Maybe one day when I’m bored I’ll take that skin out of inventory. Oh well. I don’t regret my purchase. 150 donuts is still pretty good for Duffman.

Two questions…
1) Does anyone know/remember where I can see a list of all of the characters who can earn event currency at the HQ? When I send all of the characters in the list, I still have the floating icon, implying that there’s someone rise I could be sending. Once I send all the other characters I have to go do regular event tasks, the icon goes away. I can’t figure out what, if anything, I’m missing there!
2) If you store the film set, is the McBain premium skin still available for use?

Someone on another thread pointed out that if you send Mona Simpson on a quest, the icon goes away. It’s proven true in my game, sorry I can’t credit the original poster.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! This had been driving me batty! That doesn’t mean that Mona can be sent to earn event currency does it? (Wait – why am I asking you when she’s free right now and I can check, myself? I’ll go double check and then try and remember to report my findings back here.
On a side note – maybe a SIB on the new (looks same as old) X-ray machine is worthwhile?
At 10 donuts for 0.75% bonus, that is a better deal than the Jet Engine Bike (30-2%) and it’s going in just under 7 days.

Ebron, how long have you been playing? I just hit 115% bonus and it’s like pulling teeth/spending actual $$ to increase it. 😑 KEM farming for me is only awarding 8-10 donuts per day. Slow as molassas.

I’m working toward that myself, but I still have quite a way to go (only in the mid 600s), although I assume the pace accelerates the closer you get. Right now, I’ve slowed down a bit, because of a combination of buying a couple of characters (and some other stuff, I think) and a significant dip in cash. (I really need to work on getting more comfortable with having an even lower reserve, but I’ve already dipped down by 10M, so I’m trying to adjust to that right now.)
Not necessarily. For 60-100 donuts (depending on your luck), you can get a guaranteed 9% by buying a “round” of mystery boxes, as Christopher has posted about before and I’ve confirmed repeatedly for myself. You’d have to spend more than 130 donuts to achieve that return from the copier machines.
Also, my game says the deals end in 12h 20m.
Mine says it’s over in 6 days…are you sure you aren’t looking at one of the character deals?😳😃

On a weird note. I got the matrix glitch where the MIT dudes keep spawning. After 1000 taps or more I got Agent Bont then my game crashed so no bonuts. But if anyone else gets the glitch just keep tapping like mad. Don’t exit the game. 🙂

My experience is that you can exit the game and then re-enter, and the endless-M.I.T glitch remains. If you log in from a different device – gone for sure.
I tapped for a couple of hours, got to 300k+ and closed out to give my fingers some rest. Opened up the game on the same device an hour later… still endless-M.I.T. being generated. Went up to 580k+ before I quit again.
Generated enough bonuts to get 3x more mystery boxes so I’m not complaining.
Does the opinion change if you have a skin for Tatum but don’t have him?

hey guys, just one question, I’m a freemium player and I’d love to get that mastermind bundle, however I currently have 44 donuts, is it possible for me to get 160 donuts without buying them in 35 days the offer lasts?
Depends how much ingame cash you have and if you have XP accelerator – if so, purchase 24hours XP acceleration (I think for 5 donuts), then start purchasing car with rat traps (150.000) or Bloodmobile (133.000). You should level one level in 3 cars, so keep purchasing till you get no cash or space left – then sell everything and start purchasing again. You should jump so many levels, each level 1 donut. Even after you reach max. level, everytime you reach 1mil. points you get to choose 1, 2 or 3 donuts (can purchase another try for ingame cash), so can be repeated when enough ingame cash.
I had 60 donuts myself and wanted Mastermind bundle, so I spent all 35 million ingame cash and after purchasing mastermind bundle still have more than 200 donuts for future deals.
If you have enough in game cash and a decent multiplier, it’s possible if you start KEM farming
It depends on what your bonus multiplier is and how much in-game cash you have.

One of the things I like about returning characters is that if they were free before, they usually get promoted to premium payouts when they are offered up again for donuts. That’s what just happened with Lucius Sweet and Arthur & Gabbo.
And people say EA never does anything for longtime players.
I was toss up for laurleen , I got Tatum, hank and duff man . Pros some of theee others characters you can use for future events which is a bonus
I like having Lurleen for her 12-hour task at the Open Air Stage. When she’s not available (like during this event, where I have her earning event currency instead), I’m stuck with using the Old Jewish Man doing his Old Grey Mare routine, instead, which is not my cup of tea.
Have you tried Skinner’s Barbershop group?
They are why I bought the Open Air Stage to begin with – just had to have the B-Sharps, even though, at the time, donuts were far more precious.
It’s not often I can get the group together for a performance, but I always love it when I do! 🙂

Yes, Skinner Sisters. I can’t remember the episode title or season but Bart starts riding a tandem bicycle with Marge and turns into a mamma’s boy. When she sees the Skinner Sisters performing karaoke dressed like that she insists Bart have his own life. Found it Marge’s Son Poisoning season 17

One thing to note about Drederick Tatum is that he also helps out with Springfield Heights now as well by “working” at the coffee shop.
And coffee is usually the resource I run low on when I’m building there.
I had a Skin for Tatum, and he helps in Springfield Heights. As such, he was on my short list. So I got him. And, as a bonus, he helps in this Event.
Lurleen is on my long list……. I am on the fence. Need to decide by midnight PDT.
Exactly the same for me. That skin has been creeping around my character section since tap ball, so glad it’ll finally get put to use. Well, in a few weeks when the event ends.

However, I think there was a glitch since it seemed to charge me more than 190, and I did not get the rebate (even though it notified me that I did get the rebate).
I had about 330-ish donuts at the time, and now I’m down to 101, just by purchasing Duffman/Brewery….. Contacted EA, will let you know what they say.
After reaching out to EA, they credited me back 60 donuts because it seemed that the rebate did not apply correctly for me. I do believe I had more donuts and may have still been charged a bit more than the rebated cost of 130 for Duffman, however I did not know my exact donut count prior to purchase and could not verify what my total should be. I’m happy with the outcome, and now have a fresh Duffman roaming my town!
The rep was super friendly and helpful, and I recommend anyone who has issues to please contact EA since they are pretty awesome at resolving issues in the game. Charlotte or Charlene I think was her name.
I’m REALLY tempted by Lurleen and the McBain skin (mostly for the film set to complete my movie complex), but saw the other possible characters possible for this event (from the completion lists) so want to save my donuts in case we have to pay sprinkles for a) the Doctor No type girl, b) Gogo type girl from Kill Bill, and c) the three nerds from “Homer Goes to College” seem to have appeared! I don’t think they have they been a prize previously, right?

Unlike my wife I missed out on the Casino event, and hope they offer more of the characters, and buildings, at semi-reasonable prices at some point.
Finally, while I get the points about Tatum. He was a huge help, at 8 hours and 60 coffees, (if I am remembering the number right) for me in generating the endless amount of coffee required to finally get to the billion dollar mark in my Heights.
So, I guess my long rambling point is it is a new plus for his character, to me.
