Just a reminder that the THOH/Magical Event Ends TOMORROW November 14th.
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.

As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Acts.
- However, the questlines linked directly the the prizes and Premium Characters you’ve won will remain. (so Angelica Button, Count Dracula etc)
- The event removal will require an app store update to fully remove it from your game. So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game… It will require an app store update to remove everything.
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so… just know that ANY time after the 14th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after the 14th and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.
Also, we’ve seen with a few recent events EA shuts off the ability to earn one item or another. So don’t bank on being able to get that extra time. Try to earn as much as you can until the event ends.
And don’t forget to craft! Use em (the goblin gold) or lose em!
So tap those last few fans and relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.
Additional note:
Some of you are asking what you should craft with all of your extra crafting currency. There’s no magic item to craft. There’s no way of knowing what EA might make premium in the future, with a bonus %. Best advice I can give you is craft at least one of everything. If there’s something you think you could use in a particular design craft a bunch of them and stick them in storage.
If you feel like you’ve crafted everything you want, then it’s ok to not use all of your crafting currency. Just because you have it doesn’t mean you need to spend it.

A few others asked me about which gives the most XP when placed in Springfield…it appears as if each item (you can craft multiples of) gives you 100xp when placed in Springfield. So there’s no item that gives you more of an advantage.

This event royally sucked. I fully defeated MontyMort but I had to spend a few donuts to do it. Now I’m working on the 24 hour task for Make Lord MontyMort serve a life sentence. Bring on the update removal.
Is it necessary to finish the 24 hrs life sentence task in order to get any event content? I’m doing the task at the moment but the event will be over before the task is finished. As someone who loves Harry Potter, I don’t want to find out that I missed event content and should have used donuts to speed up Montymort’s final tasks.
Please help me.

OK…here is another strategy that i am suggesting that you employ regarding the final stages of “MontyMort.”
Walk away. If you aren’t going to finish…do NOT spend donuts on doing so…he isn’t worth it. If you want to send a message to EA about how much you dislike the event…then Don’t Give Them Donuts.
However…if you love the event…and want everything associated with it, go ahead and just buy him when the timer runs out.
I’d LOVE to be able to give some of you who love the event, my more than 20,000 in crafting currency I’m not going to use…because there is nothing else I want from the crafting store. But, I can’t. I’d also LOVE to be able to delete the hundreds of pieces of useless clutter I have acquired by sending my beasts on missions…in order to finish the update…to get more stuff I don’t care for. But, you get my drift.
Step back. Really ask yourself if Montymort or ANY of this stuff is worth losing your cool over…or worse yet, worth spending real money. To all of the donut farmers out there…have at it.
I may or may not get Montymort. It is mathematically possible…but I really enjoyed barely tapping this weekend, after I got Dracula. It was “magical.”
Right on. Freemium for life; if I can’t unlock something with normal play, I don’t stress missing it.

After strategically using donuts to rush the Montymort battles, I’m underwhelmed by both him and Dracula. No good bat transformation visual task for Drac, and Monty’s 8hr task will presumably disappear as soon as I’m able to store that giant battleground.
Don’t kill yourselves to get these two. If it will cost more than a few donuts to earn these characters at the end, save them for the upcoming Thanksgiving and/or “winter” events.

First time ever i had to use donuts to finish an act
I’m a faithful tapper and just earned Dracula this morning and not even close to finishing Montymort, so I’m really disappointed. I feel like I’m forced to spend donuts now to finish and I was hoping to have some for the Christmas event….so much for that. I’ve been disappointed in the past from missing out on items but that was before I found your site when I didn’t know the strategies like tapping every 4 hours, etc. This event could have been so much better in my opinion, there was a lot of wasted potential. While I do like some of the prizes and characters earned, I guess I was expecting more as past events have been so much fun. Here’s hoping the next event is a great one! This event went by very quickly for me, because I didn’t play it. If I had bothered with it I bet it would have been a right drag!
Came here to ask if people were struggling to finish the defeating montymort x3. Looks like they are.. kinda fits the disappointing event.
Unlike others, I love that idea of Angelica Buttons, but it just wasn’t executed to full potential, IMO.
I’ve finished the event but it has me still earning frogs/goblins but I don’t know why? Is there another prize if I collect 50,000 of them? I’m just ready to be done with this and I don’t want to keep getting more junk if I don’t need to.
I think it’s 15,000, isn’t it? But the point of the last task on your plate is the bonus donuts round, for up to three more donuts per 15K frogs. It’s up to you to decide if that’s worth continuing the grind.
I’ve never once received the bonus donut round so I guess that’s why I was confused. Thanks!
You will get bonuts after catching Montymort – I did it few hours ago (got Dracula week ago??). Now 1,5k/15k frogs… Yeah no bonuts during this act :O

I’m the same boat with everyone else. Kids are halfway defeating burns for the third time. No way I’m going to finish. I needed another day or two. And I played at least 3-4 times a day. And I have Martin.
This event was all Trick and no Treat. To add insult to injury my Dracula has not materialized yet and have well over 36,000 toads.
Double check your entire inventory…I was in the same boat as you then tried the exit and return strategies and he finally showed up in my inventory…but I had to search for him. Good luck, hope it works for you! : )

Glad it’s finally going. Didn’t much care for this event, especially how almost all new character/skins’ 4 hour tasks are basically the same thing.
Welp, it doesn’t get much more disappointing than this. Especially for a THOH event. None of the dialogue was funny, the quests were boring, the new items and content (what little there were) was meh at best, and aside from the Evil Shopkeeper even the premium stuff was sort of lame.
I know people say every year that this game is winding down but eventually they’re going to be right. That used to bother me because I enjoyed the game so much but if EA killed the servers tomorrow I don’t think I’d care much at all. The quality has just dipped so much over the past year/year and a half. Really disappointing stuff.
I am so with you. Not even the premium content was that great – I can’t even remember the last event I spent so little donuts.
I really wonder where the game is going. I was close to quittng end of last year. Then the Around the World event came along and was kinda awesome, so I stuck with the game. But it has been downhill from there again …
The Montymort Fight was just insane … I got him, but only because I own all the beasts and premium characters (except Wizard Frink). It still took a lot of time and I’m comvinced that it just wasn’t possible for freemium players without logging in 5 times a day … I don’t know what EA was thinking. We had a few hard events in the past, but nothing that is just impossible for freemiums. That’s very worrying. That said, I’m quite happy when this event is over … I’m looking forward to black friday now and hope we get some big rebates on a lot of things.
I agree that this was the lamest event ever. Did anyone really need 50 of the exact same things in inventory? Boring and painfully monotonous. Was totally stoked about the Harry Potter theme, but it could have been way cooler.
Completed the event. Hoping for an outdoors related minievent like last year for American Thanksgiving. In my Springfield, Maggie has sacrificed a lot of sheep since the Pagan Christmas. I’m ready to roll with whatever EA gives us.
Those of you complaining about not defeating MontyMort, did you also defeat him a million times over and just not get credited for it? On Saturday I was set to beat him (for the second time, total) with round three, using the kids, but after all was said and done, it still kept me at 2/3 and now I’m using the beasts. I doubt I’ll complain to EA about it as that seems pointless, but is this a problem that we are all having?

What happens if I can’t finish defeating montymort? On both of my games I’ve finished the prize track, but I don’t have enough time left to finish defeating Montymort. I’ll be ticked if I don’t get the character after spending all this time “battling” him, and being just short of defeating him.

Same boat. I did figure I could get him if I really pushed and set an alarm clock overnight. But don’t really want to be doing that. What is throwing everything off is that only two monsters can fight him at a time whereas 4 people could during that time.
Does the fact that this comment was approved but not answered mean that you all don’t know? I’m in the same boat as was curious if I could sneak in the last few battles I’ll need tomorrow or if I should spend the donuts just in case…
Read what the post says. Won’t know what’ll happen until it happens & don’t bank on extra time. You may get it but don’t expect it

I am so ready for this even to be over. I hope the next thing is good and fun. I don’t know how much I’ll play, but after last week and the next couple, I’m going to need the escape. My grandpa is on hospice, so the end is near for him.
My least favourite event so far. Lots of useless, multiple items that just clog up the inventory. Pretty underwhelming really. Disappointed!
Very glad this one is over. So anticlimactic with virtually no prizes/craftables/premium items of interest. This was surely the lamest of all the THOH updates.
In the future, it would be nice for those of us from the beginning of the game, to get credit for previous THOH items. You know – like how the cemeteries used to earn?
Makes me hopeful for Christmas yet losing hope as well.
Well I’m not going to finish defeating Burns. I’ll just finish defeating him twice. I tapped 3-4 times a day and still couldn’t get him done. Don’t have the count yet either but i think I might just squeak him in before cut off..
Just a heads up: sometimes it looks like EA shuts off the ability to earn something, but it’s not actually the case. During one of the last major events, I hadn’t finished the prize track in my B game. After the official end of the event it looked like you had to pay donuts to get the last prize, like after an act change, the prize screen didn’t show the event currency counter any more. But since I could still earn event currency, I was awarded the prize after earning the necessary amount anyway.
Still trying to finish the third round of the endless Montymort battles. Been using donuts for the beast battles and his resting phase, still no end in sight.

Not that it matters, but I used a bunch more of my farmium donuts to rush through the beast battles after the kids were finally done and. Lo and behold! Montymort is now unlocked!
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Montymort at the end of the event. No chance I’m going to get there. Just on the last kids run, but would then need to do the beasts. ☹️
Feel kinda bad saying this since I love the Simpsons and this game so much, but… this was a pretty lame Halloween event. Didn’t stop me from playing it of course, I just wasn’t as excited to get on as I usually am. Hopefully the Xmas event will make up for it!
Got everything I wanted and a lot of things I didn’t. I hope we get a break before Christmas.
I compleated the prize track, but got lazy and won’t compleatly defeat burns before the event ends.
Will I be able to continue battle (and earn) Burns after the event ends ?
I’m ready for this event to come to an end and see what alternitive winter holiday we will be celebrating this year.
