Morning Musically-Minded, Medically-Minded, Masticators!
(Today’s post is sponsored by the letter “M”)
Over the past 600+ episodes, The Simpsons has taken us on an amazing journey involving music, science, and food to name a few concepts.
And what better way to start your week, than by discussing some of these concepts Monday morning?
So let’s get started this week by talking about the actors who have portrayed Catwoman in live action adaptations.
In the sixty eighth episode of The Simpsons, Mr. Plow (Season 04, Episode 09), Homer drives home from Moe’s completely drunk. And as a result, crashes his car into Marge’s car.
After receiving the insurance claim, he takes the family to a car show to find a car and see Adam West.
Homer: “Adam West! Hey, kids! Batman!”
Lisa: “Dad, that’s not the real Batman.”
Adam West: “Of course I’m Batman. See, here’s a picture of me with Robin.”
Bart: “Who the hell is Robin?”
Adam West: “I suppose you’re only familiar with the new Batman movies. Michelle Pfeiffer? Ha! The only true Catwoman is Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, or Eartha Kitt. And I didn’t need molded plastic to improve my physique. Pure. West. And why doesn’t Batman dance anymore? Remember the Batusi?” (Adam West starts dancing the Batusi)
Homer: “Heh. Nice meetin’ you…” (Homer tugs the kids backwards and whispers) “Just keep moving, don’t make eye contact.”
Homer ends up purchasing a snow plow and starts a business as Mr. Plow.
Homer’s advertising jingle: “Call Mr. Plow, that’s my name, that name again is Mr. Plow.”
After a successful business start which earns him a key to the city of Springfield, Homer’s business suffers a major setback when Barney starts his own snow plow business as the Plow King.
As their business rivalry picks up, Homer nearly jeopardizes Barney’s life, but eventually comes to the rescue.
But have you ever wondered who all the Catwoman’s Adam West referred to are?
