No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you…I have reverted the site back to the trusty tried and true version of TSTO Addicts we’ve all enjoyed for the last (nearly) 8 years.
First, I’ve been growing increasingly frustrated with the new theme. There were loads of things, visually, we weren’t able to do or have appeared the way we wanted them to appear.
Second, you guys OVERWHELMINGLY voted to change back. It wasn’t even close…
And the whole reason I switched in the first place was because of complaints we were getting about the mobile version of the site. So if you guys are good, I’m good.
And third, issues that we thought were issues with the theme (ie comment issues, likes not showing etc) were in fact NOT issues with the theme. They’re issues with WordPress and would exist no matter which site version we use.
So, give all of that, I’d rather go back to tried and true.
The Robots are coming, the Robots are coming! Get ready for a dystopian Springfield, as the robots try to take over! Can they be stopped? It’s up to you to save Springfield in the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns…Rise of the Robots!
For the third Act of this event, two new premium characters arrived in Springfield. One, Brenda, helps to earn event currency while the other, Cyborg Willie, arrived via a Gil “deal” and does not earn event currency. Despite their differing currency earning potential, they both come with short, fun, questlines.
So let’s take a look at the questlines for both Brenda and Cyborg Willie, here’s the full dialogue for Compile Process Love and How is a Cyborg Like a Scot?…
In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?
For this post, we’re going to cover the “quick-blip” items that hit our pocket-sized towns during Act 3 of the Rise of the Robots Event. Even though they’re all from different episodes, they’re all just a quick blip in the world of The Simpsons. So, it’s time to examine where The Robotics Lab, Brenda, Thai Food Factory, Cyborg Willie, and Killy come from…hope you didn’t blink or you might’ve missed it!
It’s that time of the event…time for another fun and exciting prize post! Yes, I know they’re your favorite, don’t even try to deny it. Ok, you can deny it. I think we probably feel the same way about these….but they still must be done! Otherwise, what else would I refer people back to when they ask what something does 6 months from now? Act 3 of the Rise of the Robots event consists of 1 new building, 3 new decorations, and one new character.
So let’s take a look at the prizes on the Act 3 Prize Track: The Flanders Car Pos-i-bot, Simpson Car Pos-i-Bot, Springfield Robotics Lab, and Giant Buzz Cola Can (Bestimus Mucho (a full character) we’ll break down in another post)
The Robots are coming, the Robots are coming! Get ready for a dystopian Springfield, as the robots try to take over! Can they be stopped? It’s up to you to save Springfield in the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns…Rise of the Robots! Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Brenda and the Thai Food Factory to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this completely random combo to your town…
The Little Addicts are back this week with a new Adventure! On this week’s adventure, we took a trip to our local Fireman’s Fair, cousins in tow! It was nice to have a little normalcy back for the kiddos, and get on some rides! The Little Addicts had a blast!
You can check out the latest adventure here, and give it a “thumbs up“:
So for those who remember, a few weeks ago we had to make a theme change on the website because WordPress did some updates and the mobile view of our site completely disappeared. Instead of getting the mobile version of the site on your phone, you’d get the desktop version…which would require you to zoom in to read posts etc.
Well, I’ll be honest…we’ve had this new theme for a few weeks and I’m not really happy with it. I’m thinking about switching back to the old theme…which may (or may not) cause some issues for those using the mobile version of the site. But, this time, before I do that I wanted to get YOUR opinion on it. So please take a minute and answer the poll question below, and let me know if you want to switch back or if you like the current appearance of the site.
