No update…probably your device. Happens from time to time, if it happens repeatedly then you likely need to free up space on your device.
I got the update, too…a smallish one, not like what happens with space issues. I’m guessing it was a bug fix or prep for the next act or something.

Today (October 20) I got a 20,000 megabytes update when Logging into the Game App (on a Motorola with Android OS 11), I’m guessing it’s something EA sent to correct (or enhance) because I got over 100 Gig of free space. 🤔
Same update on Android… maybe for Chalmers who doesn’t go to his job anymore via the Office of Unemployment from the beginning of Act 2.
Absolutely not, the office continue to ignore Chalmers for his 24 hrs task.
Instant buy! I’m a fan of Stranger Things Netflix series, so the mall alongside Demogorgon fells so “familiar” to me. Plus, I love how the building looks, despite being “small” (I mean small compared to the fact that it is a Mall).
The closest you will get to Halloween – ish 🎃 Content 👍🏻
Over Under Beast – 24 Hours Visual Character Task is 😂 (empties contents of trash bin into his mouth, 3 three raccoons fall out shake their fists and run off!)
Rats Court Mall – Over Under Beast (aka Demogorgon) has a permanent Character Task here, Building doesn’t take up that much Real Estate (vs some of the ridiculous & repetitive Buildings that EA offered up this year!)
Worth the sprinkles, because nothing else (in my opinion) is with regards to New Premium Content …. maybe that will change in Act 3? 🤔

I ended up getting this plus the skin for Chalmers, but only because I’d farmed enough donuts and didn’t have to purchase any.
Honestly, I’m kind of “meh” about this event as a whole so far. I’m disappointed that, unlike in past events where non-playable characters have been running around our Springfields, after you complete the task of tapping on 15 dinosaurs, tapping on more doesn’t do anything for you.
Also, because my Springfield’s large (and I’m lazy lol) I was kind of mildly frustrated that unlike tapping on past events, hitting “go” for the tapping dinosaur task doesn’t automatically find them for you.
