Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
In our games, the snow is falling and TSTO is calling yoo hoo! It’s the most wonderful time of the year Tappers, Christmas in TSTO! I just love the look of a fresh blanket of snow covering my pocket-sized town…at least for now. I’ll get sick of it by the time January rolls around…in TSTO and in real life (have I mentioned lately I wanna move to Florida?) Anyway, yes the annual Christmas/holiday event has arrived in Springfield, so what does EA have in store for us? Well, we’ve got a real mystery on our hands! A holiday whodunnit if you will! Poor Santa…
As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…
Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on January 12th. However, Act 3 will start on December 26th (Note the Sunday start date).
Things kick off for Act 2 with some dialogue between Marge, Wiggum, Lisa, and Herb…
Marge: Now what do we do? We have no evidence, and no suspects.
Wiggum: I have one. *furrows brow* Mr. Snake Jailbird.
Lisa: You’re just profiling him for all his crimes in the past…
Wiggum: What about…Hank Scorpio?
Lisa: I don’t know, he’s on the run in Belize. Plus, he’s a crypto billionaire now — why would he do this?
Wiggum: Fat Tony?
Lisa: Fat Tony loves all things Christmas. He hands out turkeys from his trucks. It’s his favorite holiday.
Herb Tannenbaum: Well, while we think of other people to point fingers at, I could go for a bite to eat.
Lisa: I know of a few good vegetarian places.
Herb Tannenbaum: How about Krusty Burger? I’m in the mood for a nice beefy burger.
Lisa: You…eat meat?
Herb Tannenbaum: Living off chlorophyll sucks — it doesn’t even scratch the surface of the food pyramid. I mean, what category would you put “sun” in anyway?
Lisa: You’re a weird tree, Herb.
Herb Tannenbaum: So, burgers?
Lisa: Sure, they have a good meatless burger now!
Marge: Let’s do it!
This triggers the Act 2 questline, No Business Like Snow Business and is followed by 4hr tasks for Lisa, Marge, and Herb, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (150), and Christmas Trivia. No Business Like Snow Business is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.
Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 2…
Here’s the Act 2 Synopsis from EA:
Wiggum suggests, without evidence, that the culprit is probably Snake, just cuz he does most of the other crimes. Lisa doesn’t buy it so Wiggum just starts guessing other names. Without any solid leads, Marge, Lisa, and Herb decide to stop for lunch at Krusty Burger and review the case. While at Krusty Burger they run into Mary Tannenbaum, a big city movie producer from The Heartmark Channel who is trying to make a pivot into true crime shows and is in town looking into the Santa case. Marge and Lisa agree to let her tag along when she offers to make them huge stars. Herb wants to be in the show too, seeing as how he was attacked alongside Santa, but he doesn’t get much traction from Mary who reveals that focus group audiences don’t respond well to sentient arboreal beings. Mary begins tagging along, filming footage of the investigation as Marge and Lisa question people, and they all head up to Mt. Useful to start questioning people competing in the sleigh race as they have an obvious motive, to take Santa’s job. Homer is happy that his family has come to cheer him on, but is shocked when Lisa begins to question him on his whereabouts on the night of Santa’s attack.
Finally Wiggum shows up on Mt. Useful to enter the sleigh race himself, angering Lisa who believes he has more important things to do, like investigate the attack on Santa. But Wiggum says he already solved that whole Santa thing. It was Snake, which he knows because Snake had a part-time job at Santa’s Village, where Santa was attacked, and even worked on that very night. DUN – Dun – duuuuuuunnnnnnn….
They go to question Snake who says that he left work at Santa’s Village before the attack even happened, and he has a weirdly specific list of details for his alibi, including the exact time he went to Moe’s for an after-work beer.
As I stated above, you’ll go right into the No Business Like Snow Business questline, which is what the Act 2 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Act 2 prizes.

Each Act will have a new premium character that will earn event currency. From what I can see, based on the info from EA, characters will be used throughout the entire event. So Act 1 will be used in Act 2, 3, and 4…etc.

5 /4hrs for Freemium
8 /4hrs for New Premium

Happy Addict update!! When I got my mans Snake’s new outfit I saw in the character collection for this event, that we will get 2 more new premium characters for act 3 & 4 – a giant Elf (looking like Pinocchio in red and green) and a giant Nutcracker Soldier dude. Keeeewwwl. And Snakes 2 animations (steal gifts) are fun but not nearly as fun as his Insider Jobs: Rob Elves for Nogg 8h job and Recruit Racoons for his gang 24h.. EA could have given us more raccoons! Imagine if Snake, Temperance and Grandma Van Houten could all have their raccoon jobs next to each other…
I am always for more Visual Character Tasks involving 🦝 ‘s (I actually want it 2 or 3 as a Group Character so they can Task like Krusty’s pet 🐒 !) 😊👍🏻

MY MAN SNAKE looks so beautiful in his Santa outfit!!!! Serving full Xmas bad boy with a big heart fantasy! I’m so going to spend my donuts on that costume instead of that shady Golden Pickaxe. Like, pricey but totally worth it, ho ho!
Looking very much forward to get Snakes house as well. And the sled for Sideshow Mel!! Love it! I’m collecting all the sleds for my Xmas fleet. White Witch Burnsie and Cat Lady riding across my game as we speak. Can’t seem to stuff Santa’s LH to lead the greyhound sled because of a “logical wrapper error” ..
Also appreciating the Xmas facades. I love fun costumes/outfits for the characters and holiday facades on the buildings, boats, mountainsand shacks. Loving this Xmas event so far!
And now to rewatch the Mr Plow episode for the trivia answer.. i mean I’m almost 100 Homer wants to bulldoze Flandierinos house but does he wants it as bad as bulldozing donuts into his gob? 🤣
The golden pick axe has been a bust for me.
I had unlocked 10 veins before the promo and about 5 since and the donut reward has been exactly the same.
Wish I had saved the 100 donuts.
(Afterall, 3x the chances of what? 1/10000000?)
Mathematically, 5 is too small an “n” to judge whether it’s “working” or not.
EA’s biggest mistake was assuming that folks really understand how probability works….
