It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I seem to have an on going glitch or error that first started about two weeks ago during the Circus update. I placed many of my characters on a 4 hour daily task at Krusty Burger. Now they all seem to be stuck in an endless loop of Krusty Burger jobs. I can collect their money and they all start to walk away from the building only to make an abrupt turn around and return to Krusty Burger. Any suggestions? I haven’t signed out or re-downloaded the app as I don’t want to lose anything.

Returning to the game for the first time since taking a break after the Homer the Heretic update and I’m so glad you guys are still posting! I’m shocked that Donuts are so much easier to get now with the XP collider…wish I did a little research when it was released way back when haha.
I’m pretty happy to see a bunch of the items I missed come back in the yearbook mystery box for 30 donuts each. Hope they do that for things they released after they added it in. But boy, does it make the game so much more fun!
Hello everyone, I was just thinking it would be nice to have the patio tables animated with people for placing outside restaurants?
I was wondering if anyone remember’s the LIL LISA’S RECYCLING CENTER ? I have the opportunity to buy it from the mystery box. And was wondering if it was still worth buying? Also, what are the Blue Prints it produces used for ?
When it first came out, I think it sold for 200 doughnuts, which seemed excessive at the time. LOL
I can now get it for 60 doughnuts. If I’m lucky. 😃

It grants 450 blueprints every 4 hours.

It will take a while, but you’ll eventually recoup your donuts from that purchase, as it earns donuts every several weeks (how long depends on how often you collect from it) as it makes monorail track pieces, cycling through the stages of that, which culminates in some free donuts before it resets and starts the process again.

I actually don’t mind a little break before the next Mini Event starts (lots of ‘spring cleaning’ getting accomplished before it gets too hot out here!) One never expects St. Patrick’s and Easter to ever return as an Event (but that hasn’t stopped EA from making former St. Patrick’s and Easter Content temporarily available!) 🤔
We did have fun at the Rick and Morty Wendy’s (Morty’s) Activation 🍟 …. we just refused to try the 🥒 Rick Shakes …. and Resorts World is huge! 😅

Really hoping the golden gate realty comes back! I have no idea how else to unlock land!
IIRC it came back twice last year, first was not longer after they changed the login and tons of players got locked out and then it came back in the Gold Token box for Black Friday. It’d been over a year before then for anyone who was waiting.
When I started my second town a bit over 2 years ago and it made an appearance I didn’t hesitate to go and buy the sprinkles needed to get it.
I’ve said it before and I can’t stress it enough, it is the ONLY premium item you absolutely have to have to play. Everything else you can choose to ignore but do not miss out when the Golden Goose Realty turns up in store, just do whatever it takes to get it as soon as you can.
Right now there are 592 tiles you can only get using those land tokens so it will take a while too.

You are correct in that it came back last year. I grabbed it as a I saw it. Boy was I happy. I don’t know whether or not, it made a second appearance. I stopped looking for it once I got it.

Maybe it’s just me, forums is one thing but social media as it is is about the most anti-social thing ever devised ??!
I’m not sure I agree…I think as, with most things, it depends on how you use it. Social media has made it easier for me to stay connected with distant family members and old friends and acquaintances I probably would have had little or no contact with otherwise. It’s made me more connected to people in my town, through local groups like Buy Nothing. And it’s connected me to people all over the world who enjoy the same interests and hobbies, giving me accesses to tons of tips and the ability to share thoughts/experiences about those hobbies with other folks who can relate to them (sparing the people in my “real” life from having to pretend to be interested, lol!). Through social media, I get to hear about fun things I might have otherwise missed, like Wordle or good shows to binge watch, or interesting phenomena like the Laurel/Yanny thing. I get to watch coworkers’ kids grow up. I get to connect with brands I like and get free stuff from them.
Sure, there’s definitely a dark side to social media, and, just like in any social setting, there are some toxic people hanging out there. It can also be a bit too addictive, taking time away from other potential endeavors. In the end, it’s like any other tool…how you use it is the major determinant of whether it’s a mostly positive, or mostly negative, force in your life. It’s like a hammer…you can use it to hit someone over the head with and kill them or you can use it to build something beautiful or you can just use it occasionally to bang an errant nail back into place…it’s up to you.
If you recall me mentioning my bonkers gadgets on Addicts Live 92 – finally got the clever bits set up and I’m putting my mini-tapbot through its’ paces to make sure it’s ready for a bit of insane farming . . . 😁🤪😁
I’d love to see them add more items to the yearbook mystery box past 2019. I’ve definitely missed quite a few events since then.

So I did it, fired up the calculator and figured out it will take 2 years to unlock all the land if I get all the expected Prospector Maps every day. Probably longer since the game doesn’t send me all the notifications and I forget to check back without a reminder. Maybe Jackpot Realty will show up again in the meantime at a lower price.
You need 545 Deeds to get it all and if you time it to get the maximum 3 maps a day then that’s a Deed a day.
You can deduct the tiles you’ve already got from that though, except for the free one you got at the start 😊
Don’t forget after each 4th row they go up by a Deed a tile, so if you’d got the first 5 rows for example you’d only need another 510 Deeds !!

So I got a new phone recently, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and I noticed I can’t zoom out as much as I could on my old phone. I’d attach a picture if I could, but I can’t really find the words to describe how large everything still is. Does anyone know if this is a common thing with newer phones? A friend suggested that maybe developers have to resize games to adapt to new devices.
