A Memorial Day Moment

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

In the USA it is Memorial Day. A day when Americans remember those who fought for our country and freedom that are no longer with us. A time to mourn the loss of those no longer with us, but to also appreciate all that they have done for us to protect our freedoms.

A few years ago Wook took the time to lay out his thoughts on Memorial Day as a Veteren of the US Air Force, definitely worth the read and can be found here.

Take the time and enjoy the day my friends, but please remember why you get to enjoy the extra time in the first place.

Here at Addicts we’re taking the day.  Mostly, I’m taking the day.  Going to spend some time with my very patient husband and the little Addicts and enjoy my family.

To all our readers who have or continue to serve in our US Armed Forces (and Armed Forces around the world), thank you.

If there is someone special you’d like to honor in the comments, please share.

  2. Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all who served in the Military (and continue to serve in the Military) 🪖🎖️🇺🇸 – hey it’s a beautiful 76° with clear skies here so we’re off to pay our respects at Veterans Memorial Cemetery Boulder City!

  3. None of my relatives actually died in combat, even though the family has fought in every war—save the first Gulf War—for a century and a half. But, for my father the Colonel, my brother the Lt. Colonel, my brother the staff sergeant and my nephews the lance corporal and the Command Sergeant Major, thank you for your sacrifice.
