I paid for donuts and Quetzelica. Did not get the character. Anyone else have the same issue?

  2. I unlocked the Cookie Castle with Princess Jules in the Mystery box.

When I was given the first task, it is not highlighted yellow in her task bar. This means when I complete the task, it stays as incomplete even though I did the full job.

What could I do to fix this?

  3. Happy as a clam that escaped the Frying Dutchman at Squidport – because I finally scraped enough Bonuts together to buy the 5 event tokens deal.. which tokens got me Mrs Scratchy and The Picnic Spot!! Woohoo!! And Itchy and Shary Bobbin! And useless Roy & reality Tv van , and then the Drive in Theater! I thought the drive in was just another boring car decor but when I placed it, turns out I can play 4 movies that show animations on the screen – Elves, Aliens. Robots and Bored of the things ahaha Everything coming up Milhouse

  4. For those of you who bought Chinnos and the Vindicators HQ, what is the animation like? Can you send Vindicator characters there like the Radioactive Man statue? Do they show up when you send Chinnos there? Appreciate any answers. Happy Labor Day Weekend Tappers!

  5. Let me start by admitting that I’m not a good TSTO neighbor these days, as I rarely visit my friendvilles these days. However, when I do, I try to look around and see some of the design effort that’s been made in them. (And, to show that I have, I’ll tap buildings in some different areas of town that I’ve looked at.)

I’ve been happy to receive and accept quite a few new friend requests lately, and have more folks visiting my town latelthan I had for a long period, when most of my TSTO friends either left the game or, like me, had little incentive, game-wise, to go visiting anymore. Unfortunately, though, almost all of my tapped buildings these days are in the “landing zone,” which is the oldest developed area in my town. I see little evidence that anyone is really taking a look around, which, in a way, makes me sadder than when I had no visitors at all!

I get that, for lower-level players, visiting may have more to do with needing the Friend points or whatever than checking out designs, so the goal may be to get in and out of each friendville as quickly as possible, but the few higher-level visitors I get seem to do the same thing, too. While I primarily design my town for own amusement, it would be nice if people who visit my town would take a few extra seconds to scroll over to a different part of town, to see what that area looks like and tap there to let me know they saw it. (It does happen, but pretty rarely.)

At any rate…I know I’m being a bit hypocritical complaining about folks not making an effort to look around when I, myself, rarely even visit anyone at all, but I figure I’d just put this out there as food for thought. Also, when I do take the time to visit other people’s towns and look around, I often find great touches that I appreciate and that sometimes give me inspiration for my own designs. So, I recommend that folks do this, not just for my sake, but for my visitors’ sakes, too!

    • Hey Sandra! I’m very good about visiting those who visit me, and yes, I do tap on mainly the portions around the landing area. That doesn’t mean I’m lazy or that I don’t look at the rest of their towns, because I do. I just don’t tap anywhere but the landing area. Here’s why…

I have been playing since nearly the beginning, and my town is massive. I find it difficult to see everyone who has visited me UNLESS they tap near the landing area. It would be extremely time consuming to play “Where’s Waldo” looking for yellow fingers all over the huge geographical area that has become my town. I appreciate when people stick to the area where they land because it’s easy for me to find them and see they’ve visited.

Having said that, I do try to tap at least one building a little away from the landing area of my neighbors because I know that if the donut reward screen pops up when you’re on the landing area, you have no choice but to click it. Not only do you get your donuts, but all the fingers of your neighbors and their names disappear without being able to see them. But if I tap at least one building a little bit away from the other two, I know they’ll still know I was there.

So, to my neighbors— thank you for visiting, and please continue to tap near the landing area— which in my case is my Little Japan, France and the housing area nearby.

      • Interesting perspective – thanks for sharing!

I generally clear my whole town at the same time (rarely with the Sky Finger statue), so I’d be bound to see the thumb wherever it is (unless it got cleared in the periphery of a tap zone outside of the visible part on the screen, I guess). I see mostly the same visitors, so I generally know who likes to go visiting and who doesn’t (and I harbor no I’ll will to those who don’t visit, since I rarely do that myself anymore, due to lack of time and the lack of any real need to, game-wise, outside of seeing what people have done with their towns).

But it’s nice to know that you do look around…and I’m sorry if I implied laziness as being the reason others don’t. (I was thinking the motive was more “expedience” than “laziness.”)
