It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

The timer starts after the third tap, so as long he is left in storage for a day you are good to go. I’ve got too many pills and the stuff that you can buy with pills cannot be sold later. There are only so many decorations you want in your game.
You can store SH deccies and keep the REV
Those 10-of-each SH buildings have a bonus you’d lose storing those though, but all the other stuff still counts if it’s stored
Is anyone having problems with their taggable properties (Town Hall, School, Moe’s, Police Station) suddenly no longer getting tagged? My town (cpuworks) hasn’t been tagged by anyone for over a week, and it usually gets hit by multiple people every day. Is there a bug? Or is there something else going on I don’t know about? (Maybe it’s just me…. *sniff*)
Maybe those neighbours have been busy or found something else to tap.
It’s ironic how many fall for the graffiti free malarkey when tagging those is the only way you get them to earn, but it can affect the CoM ratings if you don’t buy a stack of Training Walls or other items that boost your Obedience rating.
My town from Jan 2023 is currently at 2,400% or so and in 2 weeks that’ll be over 5,000% so who cares about a fraction of a percent somewhere – if you’re my neighbour then go tag.
If you’re my C town neighbour then it’s usually on all day and I keep collecting so you’ll have nothing to tap if you don’t tag
EA should really let us trade rail pieces in for whichever ones we want or set a certain value (ex 2 small pieces =1 larger piece of your choosing), or switch out certain pieces for others. I don’t need 85 s pieces and 63 curved pieces with only 8 straight pieces and 4 small pieces. Wtf is that?
Also we need to he able sell certain items. I don’t need Krusty pink fences or love lamps or ramdom unsellable walls and road pieces. EA needs to implement a little icon in the corner of with a dollar sign crossed out to indicate you can’t sell the item once you buy it.
Golden goose realty where you at???? We need more land!!
Also no God from Gil for easter update? I’m ready to just buy the mofo at this point.
My Ptospectors Shack no longer produces Deeds..is that supposed to happen?
Have you bought all the New Frontier land ??
If yes that’s right and it pays $$s
If no tap the crossed arrows for Design Mode and back before you collect or hit Skyfinger.
It may still show the $$s icon but pays Maps and shows the jobs for Deeds.
You need to do that every time just before collecting or to access the jobs
I have 1 tile left for 1 Deed and thousands of banked Maps doing that

When you have tapped him three times put him in storage until the next day. He is stored in characters.
Doesn’t that reset the timer ??
Usually storing something sets the timer to zero, so store a blue house and it’s 8 hours to go when you put it back.
Is there a way to adjust the resolution of the game? I just downloaded the update, and now i can’t really zoom out on my Springfield anymore.
Please pardon me while I lobby for MORE LAND EXPANSION, in hopes that EA gets the message.
I’ve been playing since almost the beginning and really don’t want to dismantle areas of my town to keep up with new events. I still try to chip in real $ even though I’m flush with donuts.
minimally I would like to see the mountain pass/tunnel available full time so I can utilize the NW Passage as a part of my town instead of it being so segregated!
What an experience today!! Yes, I was in the path of 99% totality of the eclipse. I could’ve driven 1hr South to enter 100%..but instead, and luckily, I was able to take my Mom..who has Parkinson’s, onto our deck today, because of the beautiful Northern Maine weather we had. Not a cloud..57 degrees…bright Sun! What a blessing to breathe this beautiful fresh, crisp Northern Maine air. My daughter was working..a 1/2 hour drive South from me, so she actually experienced just a tad more than myself, and fortunately we were able to text a few times. I hope other tappers were able to experience this event as well. Sandrashill….I’m pretty sure you had a decent view as well.
Either way..Safi….yes SAFI…you should explain the math of this event actually occurring during our lifetime. Like how the earth has to be an exact distance from the moon…and the moon having to be an exact distance from earth… for such an event to happen. I am in no way promoting religion, nor a matrix/simulation theory…however I’m positive Safi could explain the mathematics involved for such a precise eclipse is nearly impossible…considering evolution would have to coincide..or walk hand in hand with the movement of celestial bodies…
Sadly the sky was completely covered in clouds here, so there was nothing to see. I was so looking forward to it, too!
Only about 85% totality here for me but was still really cool to see.
Hi all, has anyone had their income/cash total capped by EA?
It’s not EA, it’s a database limit on the Numbers Data Type of 2^32 ( 0 to 4,294,967,295 )
I know Safi wrote a post on this, but couldn’t find it easily for you

Would I be right in thinking that they won’t/can’t cap anyone’s donut total?
As far as I know I hold the record for the highest honestly earned donut count – not saying what that is though, but it’s likely to last me a lifetime.
That took 3 years of hard work and is a fraction of that number limit !!
At 1,000 Ds a day it’d take just under 11,800 years to hit the cap !!
It’s been a couple of years now that I’ve not been able to get into my main Simpson’s town but it still ticks me off. I had to change my email because we dropped the cable server & I forgot to change my email in STO so when I went to do so I had to phone EA. They asked so many questions & the one I will never be able to ask is my birthdate because I lied about it. I was able to give the correct answers to all the others except that one, but that wasn’t enough for them. I guess they didn’t like me saying they’re asking more questions for a stupid game than my bank does for access to my real money. Yeah it’s still a stupid game I want to play! That account has a wack load of donuts (for me anyways). So I’m playing my alt…the one I started to get money way back when. I started that town not long after the game started because my grandson was playing, so it’s been going for awhile!
Just my rant. I keep thinking I should try again, without calling it a stupid game. I’m upfront about lying about my birthdate & even if I had written it down, that was 2012 so the book it would be in is long gone. Sigh.
I am curious.
Does anyone have any strategy they use to find the NPC Big Claw?
Because its a NPC its not included in the town hall
You just need to keep an eye out while you scroll, it could be anywhere.

In between events, when Homer isn’t needed, I usually keep track of Bigclaw by having him/her fight Homer at the wildlife sanctuary.
