It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Simpsons is off for the summer. Did you catch the last episode 18 season finale reminder? What did you think of the season finale? Did you ever have a pet organ? Also, as mentioned 26 weeks ago, season 35 is finally under way in the UK. Did you catch the start of season 35 if you live in the UK?
The newest mini-event, The Mayflower Maple Bowl, began this past week. Did you catch Graham’s rundown? How are you progressing so far in the mini event?
Did you submit your photos to Alissa for the last event’s Showoff?

It has been brought home to me why the site has “Addicts” in its name – after many years of relentless tapping both of my games have passed the 50,000 donut mark and I still want more for the next event so thar I don’t dip below this level.
But why on earth do I need 50,000 donuts!! Most of them must be stale by now!!
I know what you mean about D’OH NUTS! In my game, I have more than seven times that amount and I still want MORE!!!
I have 29 donuts. One more I can get Dr Nick from the year book. Lol
That doesn’t sound right…are you sure you have 350 THOUSAND donuts? Or did you misread what the OP said and thought he had 5,000, not 50,000? Maybe you really do have 350,000 donuts, but I’m a little skeptical, as a long-time player with a fairly high bonus multiplier myself. (Not that I think you’re intentionally lying or anything!!!)

I remember when that was all I had.
Now I am sure that Canadian Football Players was an item that was supposed to go in the store once you obtained the first. Is this item not showing up for anyone else?
How come sometimes when I visit friends’ town’s there’s no buildings with income available? I thought maybe it meant they haven’t played the game in a while but someone visited my town today and when I went to them there were no buildings I could collect from. I know also it’s not bc they collected all the income themselves bc I have friends who haven’t played for years where I get this issue too. Makes no sense to me.
Bad timing.
If they just collected, or if their other neighbours beat you to it there won’t be anything ready to collect.
Check the activity from the Friends List, the inactive ones probably were got by others. Those won’t reset until the player themselves collects.
It’s why I have multiple brown houses in all 3 of my towns, but my C town is always on and likely I beat you to it.
That’s why I advocate for graffiti, as well as the fact that’s the only way to earn from those buildings.

I’m reaching out for positive vibes, prayers, well wishes, or any other happy thoughts anyone can provide for our precious kitty Cupcake. My daughter was given this treasure by a special friend when she was 8 yrs old…she is now 22, with a college degree, and our best friend Cupcake..is getting older by the day… My Daughter , at 8, had originally named her “Princess Cupcake”…but when she got older..12 I think…the name changed to simply cupcake. The most beautiful domestic long haired tuxedo kitty ever! But she is now in need of well wishes and prayers and positive energies. Thank you…god bless

I keep collecting land tokens, should I just use them or is it best to save them??
There’s 592 tiles that can only be got using Tokens.
Well worth saving ’em, and if you can get that Token-only land and have tiles for $$s left too you can bank more in case EA ever add more.
Once you have no land left the GGR will switch to paying $$s and XP.
NOTE can’t use Tokens on SH / New Frontier land
That’s good to know, I haven’t reached any token only land yet but must be close.
The tiles for $$s are 23 up from the ocean and 28 across from the mountains..
The last for $$s tile against the mountains going up costs $176,000
The last for $$s tile by the ocean going across costs $600,000
a pitty that we have NO OPTION to obtain land tokens anymore.
Yeah… I don’t have GGR and get one token every ~3 weeks 🙁
Blimey, my newest town gets ’em every 2 months if I’m lucky !!
No idea why, may not be related, but I’ve also never gotten 5× XP capsules in my daily challenges.
Oh, that’s another good point about why not to use all your tokens! I forgot about that twist! 👍
I should make the bit on it stopping paying tokens clearer …
It knows how many tiles you have yet to buy.
Lets say 208 for $$s and all the Token tiles = 800
Get 800 tokens and it stops producing ’em, doesn’t matter if you bought the land yet or not.
It doesn’t really make a difference, but I think it might better to use them as you need them, because I think it will help you conserve space more If you open up all your land at once, you might be more likely to build expansively and then find that you’re out of space. I’ve been playing for about 10 years and I still have some unopened land!
