Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Kwestjun…. does anyone know what happens with the remaining land tokens once you have purchased all new pieces of land. On my A game I am about to find out, just getting impatient. (Does GRR close down again?)
I recall from the past that once you run out of a balance between tokens vs land tiles, you were given the option of exchanging remaining tokens for 12 donuts.
If this is still the case, on my B Town I could wait (plenty of space currently) and save up the in-game cash to purchase the land tiles. In the mean time collect land tokens. Once I need more land I can buy them and use the tokens later to rake in some needed donuts.
Any flaws in this idea?
Once you have enough, the Golden Goose Reality will convert from generating land tile tokens to generating in-game money.
BTW, I was thinking about earlier all the trouble finding the Golden Goose. With 960 new tiles, that is less than 2 gold tiles.
I just experienced an interesting glitch. I was placing some road tiles on new land (just bought) and the road wouldn’t continue to an empty tile. I moved a building to the area and it worked. I then tried placing the road again and it worked.
Anyone else thinking of nuking their town and starting from scratch after adding all the new land? I did it a few years ago, back when there was a long lull between events.
Only if you’ve a good idea of a plan and patience to go through inventory.
I nuked my A town over 2 years ago. Got so far and decided I didn’t like the new layout so I re-did it only to not like that and then a 3rd start I decided against. Oh-oh !!
I’ve since started a third town that’s taking up most of my time and my A town is sadly incomplete and neglected.
My B town also needs a major sort out.
I’d suggest using that new land to rebuild bits at a time to create areas you like and then group-select to re-arrange those to use all the land rather than it all in the new bit and the old land half empty.
Saves a lot of inventory-hunting that way.
Never ever…I would go completely bonkers, and just give up….it would be nearly impossible to try and redo a city with thousands of buildings and decorations…and not go insane…besides that…Safi!! Can you canucks control your fires? Here…in PRISTINE Northern Maine…we have to deal with smoke from YOUR fires Safi…yes you….build a giant fan and blow your smoke to the west, where they will soon be under water. it’s so strange…the past 2-3 yrs…as soon as summer starts….booom! Large Canadian fires out of the blue! Choking pristine American country…killing…livestock, plants, elderly. We’re all doomed…everyone….recognize.. 1984 is truth….nothing we see can be proven or disproven….the CIA has achieved their ultimate goal…nobody knows what’s real or true anymore…when AI becomes even more prevalent…the shadows over truth and reality will become even darker…the saddest thing is there’s nothing anyone can do…..oh by the way…I’m starting a new doomsday cult if anyone wants to join…only prerequisite is no..I mean 0..as in none…no money whatsoever allowed. And an update regarding my best friend and gorgeous tuxedo kitty of 13 is doing better..although she seems to be suffering from cat dementia…sad. She is scared of really going anywhere, so I’ve created a special room for her…where all her needs are at her avail. Mrs. Vet said they normally like to have food as far away from litter box as possible, but in these circumstances, they often can be confined to a single room. This is where my precious cupcake is at…she is healthy in every other way, but doesn’t seem to recognize her surroundings…anyway…I just thought I would bore to death anyone who bothered to read all this…
Sorry to hear about your kitty. It sounds like you’re making her finally years as comfortable as possible. And, yeah… apparently the Canadian wildfire smoke is making its way down here to Massachusetts, too. But it’s not just Canada’s fault….everyone who is exacerbating climate change (or, worse, denying its very existence) or not supporting measures to help fix if (if that’s even still possible) is partially responsible. I shudder to think what this planet will be like even just 50 years from now, but I’m unlikely to find out, myself. One of the few benefits of being older, I guess.

Thank you for your thoughts regarding Cupcake. I hear you Sandy..you are correct in your assessment, however…I have a specific memory from a 10th grade Drama teacher. It was when Captain Planet came into existence, and environmental concerns were being discussed. This Drama teacher specifically told the class that action was needed but it was already too late for certain events to occur. She specifically stated that in 25 years from then, probably 1990…at least half of Florida was going to be under water, it was already too late, she said. It’s been 34 years…and such an occurrence is still decades away. I feel there is a lot of fear mongering going on and and bullying individuals into feeling guilty, causing emotional stress and in some cases mental illness. The governments and greed are the cause…not because I threw my Kit Kat wrapper on the ground. China/India and other huge countries are not changing policies. But they are happy to see Americans fighting with each other and purposely slowing down our economy and progress, for “the greater good”. America feels as though we have morality behind decisions forced on people through guilt and an unjust criminal system. The ultimate goal was to tear America apart from the inside…make Americans dislike each other and not trust our own government. Which is exactly what is happening. They knew this was a long fight. We felt if we had the biggest bomb..we win…lol. Unfortunately they had the bigger brain and didn’t need the threat of a massive military. They knew this was a decades long war through sublime propaganda and the injection of certain thoughts and ideas through the American University Systems. They knew that greed along with propaganda would destroy religion and democracy, the foundations of this country. They are winning, we are losing. That’s the way human nature works..that can’t be changed.
Only nuke if you want to go through some tasks again. Just storing items can make you go through events. I prefer just moving area and then reorganize. Probably 1/10 the work of nuking.
Anyone having issues trying to capture a town portrait?
Mine says not enough disk space need at least 16.07gb of disk space and I have well over 400gb on my iPhone 15 pro max
First off as I understand it iOS does not report clutter like app cache and junk files so figure how to clean your device.
Secondly it needs a whole lot more than that to create a heap of screenshots and more again to put them all together as well as the amount it needs to create the finished image – way more than the 16gb stated for that final image to work with
,,, and it’ll be more than ever if you bought all the new land and started filling it

But it never told you how much room it needed to create that, and that will vary by device and resolution.
As for you other post, mothballed for now and I need to run it past Alissa and Safi
Is there a way to adjust resolution?
Some devices had options, and I believe there were some apps to do that to help games to run faster, but no idea what or if they’re still doing those / if they’d still work

I would like to add that it looks like an interesting project and I wish you every success as you go forward with it.
Just wondering why? Of course Addicts could just do it themselves by going through their old posts.
My main concern is it’s a dynamic file meaning it can and will change over time.
If we allow one we’d also have to approve similar files from others.
Not saying you would, but if your file allows others to edit and collaborate, or if another Addict posted something similar and then got in a bad mood and changed it to a sweary rant about the game ??

I wouldn’t have people outside of Addicts have control of the file. I would just have people submit to Addicts the information and Addicts would do occasional updates. They could either do it as a file that could be copied, pdf or post.
I get that. Before I began as a writer I emailed in a couple of things they decided not to use – as is their right.
I wasn’t alone in thinking the link should not be posted, sorry.
It does look like a good project. I have a couple of similar personal projects planned or started that probably won’t be ready until next year and won’t end up on Addicts without me getting permission to do so. They’re interactive and react to searches so posting as text or a pic won’t cut it.
Right now I’m running a full virus scan that will be followed by a malware scan after checking if a link picked up by the WP spam filter was a mix-up. That is another reason why dynamic and changeable files do not get posted just in case – to keep all Addicts safe from the numpties.
I reckon you’d agree it’s the right thing to do.
You’d hate it if your link got hacked and messed everything here up, no doubt.
Sorry WP let you down. But do you really think Google is going to allow a virus or malware through? (When I upload to my drive and try to download immediately it often tells me to wait for it to do a virus scan).

I’ll add, it’s probably going to be too big to do as screenshots but they can’t easily be changed and would be accepted.
Yes there’s a risk of someone hacking ’em and using photo-editing to alter an image, but it’s less of a risk.
If you recall my new land post, those maps were done on Excel and then screenshots used to post those.
My actual files have the costs embedded, even though they’re not displayed to make a clearer image, but it means I can keep a master file and use copies to work out what land I own and how much the next bits I plan to get will cost.
I’ll also let you in on the fact I use Excel macros to sift through the game info to help me create posts. Those are still a work in progress 18 months on – every time I think one is fully finished the Devs go throw me a curveball and I have to go and reprogram them !!

I think TSTO Addicts is why this game continues.
Surely Fox/EA read all your articles and many comments. Adding Golden Goose recently is evidence of that.
I’ve bought all the land after running out of cash & then remembering I had pots of KL tickets to convert to more cash.
I’m happy with whatever is offered but I would like to tap on a building & get a list of characters who will animate the building. With a brain injury it’s impossible for me to always remember who does what.
And tiles. Make gold & wooden bridges from the gold & dirt road tiles when over water pretty please Fox/EA.
I think you give us too much credit, but I do think some of the team at EA, if not the actual devs. at the Studio do read some of the posts.
Remember that EA do have their own pages, as do the people behind the Simpsons in all it’s forms.
When events dried up for a while it was Matt Selman on his social media who let us know things were being done and the game would go on for example.
As for the Golden Goose Realty, I think that was a case of lucky timing.
I’d been actively campaigning for it to be always in store for many years on many sites.
By coincidence there was an issue with the new land and a new campaign by a player went up asking for the GGR as I was preparing to post on here. Maybe it was the fact I’d kept it up, or perhaps that other post swung it, but the end result was the best result either way.
Has anyone notice the new track attached to the new monorail station, looks fantastic, pity the normal track doesn’t change when it’s attached to the futuristic station
Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else, but I wondered if there were any plans for monorail parts that help link to existing tracks rather than having to have a big move around?
I was also hoping once I had the new monorail I would be able to buy a new tunnel to SH too? Great work on the site as ever!
Hi Graham, great job with the site, I thought the “thanks to the studio” post was a good call, don’t know if they read it, hopefully they did, I though maybe a suggestion/ thanks post to the studio/developers should be a permanent post for them to look in every now and them, limited to thanks and idea, suggestions, you probably have to much on your plate already but just an idea 💡 thank kr64
I’d been actively campaigning for the GGR to be permanently in store for years as well as supporting many calls for more land and a limits increase, so when I saw it happen I asked my contact to pass on my thanks privately. Then I saw players posting Thanks threads elsewhere and figured to give Addicts the same chance to reply.
Use that thread and if there’s something of note then I can mention it to my contact, if they aren’t checking anyway, and try and ask for replies to be sent on if they think those ideas are worth pursuing or to just let the Studio know how much things were appreciated.
Can I save these mystery tokens for different boxes do they have to used with this particular box?
Event mystery box tokens are intended to only work for that event’s box, sorry.
The Shattered Dreams tokens are the only ones that are set to carry from event to event and there’s a chance older Gold Tokens from past Black Friday events will work the next time those are offered but that’s not guaranteed.

With the new land I find it a little bit more difficult to find things (plus multiple towns where things are in different places). I using the dump/Depots as “teleporters” (though I didn’t like having to split them up). It is a four click teleport (usually faster then trying to find one of the teleporters). I put one teleporter next to a Depot (so it is five clicks to use those, for a total of 7). I also found that the daily challenges with a Heights item can be used to “teleport” to one of those buildings.
Question: is there a way to find “Heights” buildings so they can be used as teleporters all the time?
Spend a load of SH currency then find characters that have 8 hour tasks at the buildings. If you know who you’re looking for and they’re always on those jobs it’s a case of finding them in the Census. You’ll need to keep getting rid of the currencies to keep the tasks open.
Yeah, I thought of that, but I was looking for a different solution. That is too many steps for my taste.
Besides more teleportation pods, what _I_ could use is a way to find a particular building by name. For instance, trying to find my Golden Goose Realty was quite hard…. I found it, finally, but a text search would be a big help, and this problem is only going to get worse!
Hmmm maybe something like a Town Planning button in the Town Hall that works like the Census but for Buildings and perhaps a toggle option in that to switch to showing Decorations instead ??
It would need to pick only one of the things you can have multiples of though, or it could get messy if there’s no easy way to do a Find Next on them.
A text search would be complicated, especially if you mis-remembered the name of something, but an A to Z filter on those and the Census might be an option – or a scroll bar that’s draggable rather than just a progress-down-the-list indicator.
We desperately need something like that for items in storage!

Nothing says you have to open up all that land all at once! Maybe just try opening new land as you need it?

Don’t forget the Krusty Land Shuttles teleport you, as well as Moe’s Brewing Co will teleport you to Moe’s Tavern (unfortunately this is only a one way teleport).
I repeat with regards to the KL shuttles …
This only applies if you played way back when KL was a separate area like going to Friends Towns.
If you hadn’t completed that part of the quest when the event that Nuked KL and put everything into the main Springfield Map happened then you only get one Shuttle and it does nothing.
I know. I have started 2 towns since, and sadly it’s useless in both of those.
New monorail train, needs a new futuristic look. Donut buy or bribe will suffice
After an exhaustive search, I finally located my golden goose. I’m trying to remember, where do the land tiles go after they are generated? Alongside the Squidport tiles? And where is the new land expansion?
Land Tokens go into a counter you can only see when you tap to buy a tile.

Golden Goose has been generating land tiles and I purchased some.
By my count, 24 tiles wide and 30 long — plus the sea/ water.
Roughly one year if one is able to click every 12 hours.
A huge, HUGE amount of land.
24 x 40 = 960 tiles, all info in that post. 480 days without rushing or one other little trick to make it 320 days – collect at least once a day with SkyFinger
I just sent Mr Burns to ” record a rap song ” & he took me straight to the GGR & just in case you are still not sure after Graham’s patient reply, go East along your coastline & you’ll end up at the new land & sea area
I’m having fun coming up with ideas for the new land. I am buying a row or two each day to avoid a sprained tapping finger. 😁 As I consider just how huge our Springfields will be with this new land expansion, I most definitely think we need more TELEPORTERS. We have 4… Alpha, Omega, Theta, & Zeta. I have mine strategically placed to quickly get me from far corners to important spots I frequently visit, like the SkyFinger Monument, the Prospector’s Shack (I am still working on earning all my Land Deeds in the new frontier), my 24-hour buildings like Channel 6 & KBBL Radio, & sometimes various places depending on events or such. With 960 new land tiles, I think we all could really use more teleporters to get us across this vast land! 🚶♀️🗺️
