It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Is the shattered dreams box available now ?
If you’ve not finished the event it’ll show up once, after the Outro dialog and the alert for a free token, but you won’t be able to get back to it now the timer has run out.
BTW – that timer is usually a good indicator of the next event starting, but not this time it seems.
Still trying to get answers, but don’t expect anything before Monday now at the earliest.
It might be a week or two with nothing then straight to the THOH, 25th sept / 2nd oct perhaps, but I’d say that’s way too early and something is due first.
I’m not sure I’m allowed to say much..because I’ve heard that the small, new moon, that is in orbit around Earth for approx…now…about 50 more days…may be preventing lots of new initiatives. The big ideas are on hold pending a possible doomsday. Everyone can look at it..but some say it may be an omen of ..something..Safi…I’m positive you know what I’m talking about. Anywho….I’m so happy it’s football season

I remember there would be a week from when one event ended and the next one began. Maybe that is what they are doing this time.

Which Facebook post? I don’t see one about a new event. I did see one about the previous event, with the start and end dates. The end date said the 18th, which means, assuming they follow the usual pattern, the next thing would start a week later on Wednesday, September 25th.
While I agree that it seems like a long time, probably mostly because the previous event was so easy to finish early (I finished way early and I’ve barely been able to play because I’m away taking care of my sick mom), nothing is “late” yet or anything. I suggest everyone who’s hypered up just take a breath and first wait to see if the normal pattern is followed. If there’s no new event by next Wednesday, then it’s time to first start asking questions.
The last three events have all been a week longer than normal though (6, 3 and 6 rather than 5, 2 and 5), effectively consuming the week break each time. So under the normal schedule, it is late.
Analyzation of the Facebook post…
They’re probably skipping the mini event (a “few weeks till everything gets back to normal”) and going straight to Halloween. We know the game isn’t getting less popular, as EA is very greedy and the item limit + land increase will have costed extra money to support. This makes me think that it’s going to be a particularly content-filled event, maybe even with crafting/friend incentives and almost for sure tappables (the chameleons/clowns). Based on the fact it hinted that the next event will involve time travelers and a rouge AI, we’ll probably get some alternate timelines themed stuff. The alternate timeline(s) is likely to draw from the recent THOH XXXIV homer infection segment.
I admire the confidence and enthusiasm, but maybe it’s just a bug-hunt on the latest release …
That rogue AI threw a spanner in the works perhaps.

Way past sunrise here and I’m still trawling for a files release to know there’s an update due . . . with no luck
Maybe a haunting of Springfield Presidents past…. Or future. THOH. I’m excited for this one.

I was so excited I can’t deny it. lol but there is no new update yet. App hasn’t updated either. Usually by now we should have gotten a new mini update.

I am trying to get answers, but confident even if there’s a longer than average time between one event to the next we will have something new soon.
I’d be amazed if there’s no THOH event next month, the Studio loves those as much as we players do.
Why are you worried? The previous event just officially ended this past Wednesday. I wouldn’t have expected a new one until next Wednesday, as there’s usually a week’s break between events.
Remember that 4 x 9 day acts is 36 days or 5 weeks, and the last event started 6 and a half weeks ago.
The last few events just extended the end date to use the week off as a 16 day act 4 or a 22 day mini-event.
It’s also usual for the Shattered Dreams box to end as the next event begins.

You get a shattered dreams box when you complete the event. The shattered dreams box doesn’t go away until the new event kicks in.
It looks like I’m a bit behind. I have 63 land tokens and didn’t even know there was new land. It looks like I have 23×40 tiles available with 1.6 billion on hand plus the tokens.
I still don’t know how I missed it.
When did the new land drop?
It looks like 40 million to buy it all or I can try to remember where I put the golden goose realty building.
With 1.6 billion on hand I’m not too worried about it.
I had to search for my GG Realty too. It’s in my Townhouse section because that’s what it looks like, but I’m pretty sure if you hit your sky finger collect all statue regularly then you don’t even need to find the building to claim your token. I could be wrong though. Since that border of my SF all has very specific themes, I haven’t bothered unlocking anything until I need it- which could be very soon. Like THOH update soon.
The sky finger collect is how I’ve gathered the tokens I have. The GGR tokens are every 12 hours and the sky finger collect is only 24 hours.

Is there any limit on tiles the golden goose realty produces?
When the number of tokens you have is equal to the number of land tiles you have yet to get and can use tokens for then it switches to paying $$s
Awesome! Thanks! Any tips on Sprinkles the donut maker dog? He\she hung out on my squiport for weeks, then I couldn’t find him. Any patterns or usual hangouts?? Or is it just randomly roaming?
I put Sprinkles in storage everyday and take him out the next morning. That way I don’t have to look for him.

If you have Springfield Airport, you can send Sprinkles on 4hr flights. Helps you keep track and earns cash.
Just wondering if anybody bought Shattered Dreams token and now regretting it. I have 79 tokens in my main game and only get non-unique items.
I always look for sand dunes to be in the shattered dreams box but sadly they never are.
Sand dunes were prizes not sold separately.
I guess that’s why it’s called shattered dreams 😂
I only have 3 prizes left from the shattered tokens. I’m curious to see what replaces it
Ran through this update over a week ago. Anxiously waiting for the next one which I suppose is going to be Halloween. I hope they offer good buildings that tie in to the actual show (versus making up stuff for TSTO). We have a lot more land now and there are so many buildings EA isn’t utilizing.
Wish list
1. I miss events that incentivized you to visit friends.
2. I wish all inventory items could be sold
3. Event mystery tokens, when there are no items available, should be usable for a random older event item
I wish they would just make the events feel more lively. Add an slight orange filter at Halloween with a leaf particle effect over the screen, add event teasers (they could have given the player one of the cactuses for summer of our discontent), changing the friend button to look different… Those are all easy things that go a long way. And of course adding major things too- crafting, friend incentives, tappables (like the chameleons and clowns), and new mechanics, like the desert sculpture building.
I actually had a friend visit me a few weeks ago. It was the first time in years and it actually excited me🤣
I only have 3 items left from shattered dreams so I was wondering what happened when you got them all
When you have all the unique items on offer in the Shattered Dreams box (as I have), you get a selection of non-unique items instead.
Completed all the friend prizes recently, but not found any donuts while visiting neighbours over the past two weeks. I guess I have to tap 500 time or something silly like that.
It’s pretty random. You might go a month without any. Then have a day where three neighbours give you donuts.

I’m so happy to have another monorail station after all this time, but what about stairs and other bits for it, did I miss picking them up?

You might tell UBO that the monorail accessories are “Unknown Building Outcome” or “Unfortunately Building Only” or any other number of funny UBO acronyms.
Howdy, finished event, design need work, monorail coming on for now, train would be better if they were designed the same as the stations, decorating this week and probably next again, lots to do, autumn has hit early here, weather very chargeable. 👍

I would still project a mini-event to precede any THOH major event. My guess is a few weeks at least.

There’s still time, but it’s looking less likely.
The shattered dreams clock is the same as the event end clock, I suspect we go straight into a mini update before the THOH event.
Unfortunately my work schedule won’t let me confirm this until late in the day.
