It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

How do I get Frank Grimes and the forgotten grave? I’m not seeing him offered in any of the Taps?
I think mine officially stopped working. I had a bunch of characters do a task as soon as you top on them they automatically go back in the building I can’t make it stop

Hopefully not in vain for anyone answering this,
If (hopefully not theoretically) a Tapped Out spiritual successor was made, then what changes would you like to see? What would you like to see in events? How long should events be? Is the balance between money, premium currency and time good or is one off balance? How much of the game’s fun was based on it being The Simpsons? What annoyed you about the game, and what did you feel like it did really well? Of course, if a spiritual successor was made, all server connection problems would be absent and you could zoom really far, among other basic issues sources from the game’s age being fixed.
An example for a Christmas event: 1 month long, there’d be three acts with 5 or 6 things each, an advent calendar, friends can send you presents, crafting too.
Act 1: Crafting, crafting currency 1, advent calendar.
Act 2: Crafting currency 2, friends can now send you presents
Act 3: Crafting currency 3, Christmas day gives you a bunch of free stuff.
If released, the game would be on the play store only for 1 month with 1 event with all kinds of rewards, to test if it’s working. Progress would likely be saved to the final version. It would probably take at least 2 years for anything at all to be released though…
Please give any ideas you have had for tapped out or any improvements you think should’ve happened.
Annoying that the only items I see to be missing are the Pests from Treehouse of Horror XXVVIII..
A silly question answered elsewhere I’m sure (I did look over the past month). I’m on Android. My device has 55GB free. I’ve used the town screenshot export feature and can’t find the file in My File or Gallery. I’m not getting an error message when the export happens. Hints? Help?
My phone (about 4 years old) broke and I upgraded. Now I have a crazy zoomed in view of the game and I can’t zoom out the way I was able to nicely on my old device.
I’ve got 42 open quest lines. My goal is to finish them and call it quits. Honestly, the zoom issue is going to ease the pain for me! I’m a little grateful. I could never have played the game long term this way.

I got the Garden of Eden from Tap 5 but didn’t get Marge’s Eve costume bundled with it, meaning that it’s one costume or character I won’t be able to get. Another annoying thing about this game since playing it again in over 4 years. If everything must go next January, shouldn’t EVERY item in the game’s history be available for the time being?
Two weeks now and my app won’t load..bummed I can’t finish 😭
How do I get Bootsie and Mumbles, in the Ruffians character collection? I already have Sludge. I don’t see the “Ruffian Bundle” in Taps 3, where I read it might be. Perhaps because I have one of them but not all 3? I checked my inventory, and they’re not in there either. If anyone knows where I can find them, let me know.
They are the only two characters I am missing.
I see ruffian bundle in taps 3 but don’t know what would happen if you have one already, I think they came as a bundle for 50 donuts not individually so they might be in your storage
Nope, they are not in storage. I checked twice.
Still going through all the Tap 5 content. I find it weird and inconsistent that some characters I thought were alternate skins for certain characters are actually separate characters. For example, Homer’s strongman/freak show skin is an alternate skin for Homer but Marge’s strongwoman/freak show skin is a separate character from Marge. This is true with some of the other characters (i.e. Sorcerer Chalmers, King Quimby, freak show/ringmaster Mr. Burns, etc.)
Another issue I have that I wished would had been better implemented is a better zooming in-zooming out function. With more land being added and increasing the town’s size, the town doesn’t zoom out enough.
My town is still a mess but after I unlocked the final characters/buildings/etc. from Tap 5, I may redesign my town one final time and take a picture before uninstalling by the time the game’s end is near. That said, my heart’s not really into it as all these newer characters/costumes are mainly 4-hr chores, reminding me on why I originally bailed on the game more than 4 years ago. TSOT used to be more diverse in regards to the length of tasks. While it’s still see the game go, I will be relieved that I will have a bunch of free storage space as this game is a such a storage hog and I’m almost out of space.
EA if you are still reading these I need ONE last Zombie to have EVERYTHING ever released. It was the cage-headed one that came with the mausoleum. I purchased that but she did not arrive.

The phone i had the game on stopped working so now i cant finish the game. I looked in the app store and i cant find it anywhere so im sad

Sea captian: swab the ghostly decks: quest greyed out, has anyone got this to work, looked it up but found no answers, stored ect didn’t work?

Nope, he’s not there. He will pop up in the vault so keep checking that.
Need to empty photos from my phone so o can download my Simpson world picture. Hubby said he’ll make it into a puzzle art the local graphics shop.
Up to 50 millions doughnuts aiming to get to 100 million. Never realised if you click on tool icon (bottom right) and bottom left icon that looks like Oscar award, it show you all the character groups so you can check which have gaps.
Was there supposed to be new holiday or theme facades? I have not seen anything that fits that description in the 5 Taps updates.
Will TSTO ever release the bonus buildings and decorations usually obtained by buying donuts? I’d love to plant the Jebidiah Threesome sculpture in my town, but never wanted to waste that much money all at once.
I’m still getting the occasional Shattered Dreams token in my daily challenges. How do I redeem them, now that there are no more quests?
You can redeem the token in the donut store.
Sigh…so sad. I’m almost done. Just making final touchups, moving the most congested stuff to the new land though it’s slapdash at best. So sad…
Finished up my Golden Road, used a bunch more of my Monorail track…should be about a 20 minute ride once I time it.
