11pm UK time seemed to be the end for me. At the end I was using Homer and Lisa to tidy Springfield to uncover one last donut but I fell short. Left the XP collider on and left everyone else to roam free, safe in the knowledge I had over $1bn and maxed out the Heights at $2bn and every land square. No regrets. Managed to get one last photo and empty my entire inventory aside from about 3k pieces of monorail track. Hope everyone else managed some closure too 😂

It was a fun era, started by my daughter when she was in middle school and then passed along to me, Mom, when she left for college.
Thank you all for the memories. I can’t wait for the puzzle my daughter is making from the 1,523 plus screen shots that I took. (Um…… I may have taken a few duplicates?)

I was able log into the game right before the servers went offline and say goodbye to the game. I had nuked my town a few weeks ago but put the Simpsons and a few neighbors back just for fun. I got a lot of enjoyment out of this little game and I appreciate all the tips and hints the Addicts gave over a decade of playing this game. Best wishes to all.
… and it’s gone. At 0:00 CET I had just finished one final quest (Flanders sent to the wilderness by his parents), while I was whimsically listening to Chariots of Fire, by Vangelis.

I think the plug has been pulled at 18:00 EST. I just did get the last snapshot of my Springfield. I’ve been playing since the end of the Snake Whacking Day event, right about Labor Day in 2012. I’m sad. Really, really sad. This game has been a part of my life for just about as long as my son has. I was a daily player. And now……….it’s over. 🙁
Tried to take a last minute screenshot, accidentally locked my iPad and when I unlocked I couldn’t get back in. Probably a fitting end! So sad to lose our silly little sanctuary.
3:04pm. Tried to access the game and the little donut on the bottom right corner just keeps spinning. 🙁

Sad day. I sent everyone on a 4 hour task so I could hear their response when I tapped them on completion. Started growing corn at Cletus’ farm. So somewhere my game will be going for 90 days. (At least in my mind). Thank you to this site for helping me navigate when I first started playing. All the walk throughs, previews, etc were appreciated. The game may be over but the characters that created it will still go on for now on our tvs and streaming devices. But I will miss this game as it was my first mobile one. Adieu addicts. Be well.
I too just started corn (actual corn) at Cletus’s farm and I did the seven day broadcast at Channel 6! Our towns are still out there somewhere!
I’m doing one last town portrait right now. I finished all my screenshots last night and I’m going to stitch them together in the coming days (probably weeks!). I just started my final Diddly Dispute between Flanders and Canadian Flanders, this one never to end. When the crew at Moe’s Express wraps up shortly I’m going to send Marge on the Stroll with Homer task to end things. Bart is riding Stampy, Lisa is Conquering the Eliminator, and Maggie is Listening to Repetitive Children’s Tunes.
I got that final golden road tile I needed on Wednesday after burning up donuts rushing God’s 24hr Open Floodgates of Heaven task. I’ve had the XP Collider on for the past week which helped me pull it off. And I’m back up over $90,000,000 and 1300 donuts that I think will die with the game.
I was in a hotel room in Providence, RI on business in March of 2013 when a Google notification recommended TSTO. I have played every day since. The first golden Scratch-R I bought hit for 100 donuts. I was dizzy. I had been saving up for the Aztec Theater, having seen it in friends’ towns and liked the animation. I bought 2500 donuts in the shady Mr. T deal. I think I only did one hour tasks for the first year, logging in constantly. I have been “Guilt of Grinding” on Les Champs-Elysees, in bed with the screen brightness turned down as my wife slept, on the clock at work, driving the New York State Thruway, and in many, many airplanes, shuttle buses, and men’s rooms throughout the land. It has indeed been “life ruiningly fun!”
Thank you to the Addicts and the entire TSTO community. Certainly the crew who runs the site has made a huge impact on my life, but also everybody who contributes with comments, questions, and suggestions. The Addicts site has enhanced and facilitated my game playing in such a way that I can’t imagine having played the game with out it. Truly, they are one and the same for me. Thank you for featuring my town in the Addicts Live video. I was honored and a little giddy. Thanks for the kind remarks!
I don’t wear my “Holyfreakinshirt” shirt too much so it doesn’t get worn out but I’ll probably start wearing it a little bit more often.

Well …
I’d planned a last visit to all my neighbours in all my games starting with the newest town ( and smallest list ) but once I got going on the B town visits my Kindle decided to lag and the servers weren’t playing nice. Oh joy.
Even at a minute a town no chance to get through my full A town list so I’ll grab a drink and toast you all farewell instead.
I’ve neglected my town since the announcement. It was just too depressing to visit. All my plans to redo the setup with a full monorail layout, a Christmas district, Halloween area, etc., were never been completed. I just took my snapshot. I’ll be in the corner listening to sad music and sobbing.
The game gave me one last gift… I won a race at Springfield Downs right before I got kicked off for the last time. I was in the game up to 6:02 pm. Good bye my friends.
Day 1 player here, I found out that it’s shutting down.. I redownloaded it after a trip to Orlando Florida and was in The Simpsons area and it made me really think and I also saw their poster… I downloaded it just to find out a message popping up that this level 43 player will now not be able to log in after a certain day. I do regret that I didn’t play it as much after a certain time I wish I could have unlocked a lot more people and I just made home or Simpson do his final task of playing with his Pad just like he did 12 years ago. 405ninja on twitch, tiktok and all. I even made a video saying goodbye lol, we still have family guys quests for stuff but it’s not the same, wish futurama would of gotten more out there also! Anyways have a good life tsto and simpsons tapped out for life.
I’ve been playing since the beginning and I just sent all my peeps to their jobs one last time, this time for eternity… Thanks TSTO Addicts, you all have done a fine job bringing everyone a little bit closer during our time together, it’s been fun. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
I do wonder how much it would cost EA to keep the server running per year, and how many would pay it to keep their towns.
Think a lot, like myself, have rediscover their towns and now wanting more time.
I was going to nuke today but couldn’t do it. So put Homer on task ‘play with his my pad’. One of the first task I did in game 12 years ago. Thanks for taking the time to create this site and build this community. It’s been great fun and will miss ya.

I think mine has gone. Thought I had until 11pm UK time but just not getting beyond initial screen. The grief for a game is ridiculous but definitely feeling it!
Man, this game was awesome. Love that all of the characters were on the game. Even the late Ms. Crabapple. I have a couple of imaged of my town saved on my phone. It’s sad not being able to play it anymore. I will surely miss this game.
