I’ve received some messages from a few people running private servers, and they wanted me to let you all know that there are still options for continuing your TSTO experience on a private server. Before diving into it, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Would you be interested in playing TSTO on a private server? Maybe you’re curious but aren’t sure how it works or where to even start? Or have you moved on from TSTO entirely?

What is the status TODAY?
Are there any servers we normal players can use?
If not, fine, I’ll just wait. I’m sure it’s a complicated process.
BUT…
If there are, HOW do we do that? WHO do we contact?
All I know is individuals are setting up servers, but I haven’t heard of any more centralized or organized effort that would be widely available.
My husband and I would love to play again, we were playing from the beginning.
I would love to play again! I don’t understand why they ended it after starting new things(the extended land, second boardwalk, the extra land above Springfield heights. I miss this game so much 🙁

Questions:
I deleted the game off my ipad. So how does one get it back?
How much would it cost us?
What if we don’t remember our names/passwords?
Would we start from a clean slate?
What if i nuked my town just before deleting it?
1. You can download the game’s APK file (the app file for android) or the apple equivalent once they finish getting it to work.
2. Free.
3. That might be an issue, but teamtsto is likely to set up a system that would fix that.
4. If your town is at towns.spancer.dev, then no.
5. That’s the most likely issue. EA could do rollbacks, but teamtsto doesn’t have access to the whole game’s server history, so it’s very likely that they won’t be able to do rollbacks.
Thank you. I am on the list. I’d be glad to rebuild my town after nuking it. My file is huge, so I guess most everything is in inventory, although I’ve never started over after nuking a town.

Hello! I would definitely be interested in playing the game on a private server. I would need detailed instructions on how to make it happen but it’s something I would absolutely participate in.
I have been thinking about it and am still unsure. When asked a month ago the answer was for sure yes. However I’ve kind of gotten used to not playing and have filled my downtime with other things, mainly reading. I do miss my town and mindlessly tapping so it’s a definitely maybe. 🙂
I’m on a private server and have my town and all my money and donuts.
I played constantly for over ten years right up until the end. I didn’t see my game on the list. 🙁 I guess that’s a no for me then.

My conclusion is:
1: Setting up a private server is complicated and expensive.
2: using a private server could be unsecured and unreliable.
3: the game would be static with no updates or new events.
4: a cease and desist would probably be served as there would be a Copyright restriction..
I live and hope that a viable solution can be found so that we can play our game again..
It’s abondonware, and only a few thousand at most will download it over the years. You don’t have to worry. EA/Disney isn’t losing money, so they don’t care.
I would Love a private server. Would be interested in more details, start fresh or pick up where we left off? I have played since the 2nd month the game was out, every day for years, even if only a few minutes, my town was always there for me. I miss it ever so terribly.
