Conform-O-Meter Catch Up: Levels 46/47 & Simpsorama/Covercraft Episode Tie-Ins

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well it’s Thanksgiving in Springfield…but before we can talk about all the new Thanksgiving items and how they impact the Conform-O-Meter, we first have to play a little Conform-O-Meter catch up!

Between Halloween and Thanksgiving we were hit with 2 Level Updates and 2 episode tie-ins.  Those events brought a ton of new decorations and requirements that impact the Conform-O-Meter, so let’s take a look at how it all breaks down!

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

Of course with the release of Levels 46 and 47 many of the requirements to maintain 5 Stars on your Conform-O-Meter have changed, so let’s check it out and see what the new requirements are.  So now you’ll have all the information you need to maintain that 5-Star Springfield!

  1. The righteousness rating is one of the most annoying things about the game. Mine will be perfect and then suddenly drop to two stars. I routinely send criminals to serve time and clean up graffiti at least twice a day. It doesn’t seem to matter. The Sideshow Bob feature is just dumb and repetitive. During some events it creates a lag announcing he “has been sited” and then never actually goes to Sideshow Bob. Also, it seems that I tap on him several times without catching him. It’s time for EA to come up with something else for SB. Overall, I’m getting bored with the game after just over a year playing. While there have been more updates and events lately, most only involve premium items. The Halloween event was a big letdown after a week or so. The treat bags are basically the same thing as the spin wheels. This Thanksgiving is weak compared to last year. I hope Xmas is awesome. That just might keep me playing for a bit longer.

  2. My town is staying rather stable at 4,5 stars and has been for quite a while now. I’ve had a drop in the Rightenousness recenlty but got that fixed quickly with some newly added trainingwalls as I learnt to do here ;). My problem area’s are consumerism and gluttony. I just haven’t build enough krusty’s, glup n’ blow’s or kwik-E-marts. With the increasing cost of new land, and money going slowly, I sometimes take some of them away to build something new in their place instead, so I’m guessing it will stay that way for a while. Whenever I have more free space I try to wedge one in, but I do want my town to look nice as well… I’m pretty pleased with 4,5 and am sure that once I have bought all the land (which may still take a while) those two ratings will max out too.

  3. Thank you for all the info! My town is doing just fine!! I think the Heimlich machine is just to cute while it is working, and the Turkey in the cage is watching the machine help ol Puratin Ned get “relieved of his family member”after choking on him, in front
of the Restraunt!! Happy Thanksgiving to All!! stepingstair. :).

  4. This is an informative article (thank you for taking the time to publish it). Between Halloween (fun) and Thanksgiving (so far, not as fun as 2013, but this holiday quest just slowly started).

My questions remain, as a long time player (well it will be 2 years in March 2015) at Level 47, what will become of our favorite game app?

Will we get an even mix of free (earned in the game) & donuts (costs real $)? Will there be less free and more donuts required? Will this game app become like a Facebook app (eventually shutting down cause player interest disappears due to having to pay real $)? Will EA finally acknowledge there are problems with the game (and they continue with my android device and EA doesn’t offer me any support and yes I’ve tried everywhere)? Will I lose more players? (I have, I’ve also added new players)

I guess I will be at Level 47 for the 2nd time (I end up one of those tappers who is on a level repeat 2 – 3 times until the next level is available) and now I am going to read your comments below) 🙂

  5. Right after the update, my “Righteousness” level dropped to 1 star after a few boneheads vandalized my town. It stayed 1 star for almost a week. But now is back to normal.

    • Training Walls my friend. I use them as a fence around the prison (and Police station) 🙂

      • Or not to have boneheads vandalize !!!

        • lol sometimes you just can’t avoid it. Spray painting is part of The Simpsons. El Barto is everywhere 🙂
Hey I vandalize…all the time. And always giggle when I get vandalized…

      • With the Training Walls I’ve placed (many visible and others hidden), I don’t worry about my Righteousness rating either. In my opinion, a *spray-paint* tap is the same as a tap of any other house or business. They get their FP (et. al.) and I do. too.

If anyone does not want to use multiple Training Walls AND the actions of your neighboreenos are affecting the enjoyment of your game, why not just UNFRIEND those people? First, there is NO shortage of people who are playing and want be added. Secondly, this is a game, don’t let your concern for ‘possible’ hard feelings corrupt your view of the game.

Furthermore, this website has made the awesome NO VANDAL Friend Request page. >>> Actually if you have added players though that specific page, and they do vandalize your town, all the better to dump them immediately.

I also have a B game where I purposely don’t care about Confirm-O-Meter levels. Indolence is barely over 2 stars and Tree-Hugging is currently at 3 1/2 stars: no house-farm, no giant forest, no tree-lined thoroughfares.
        No worries about it, none!

    • I loved getting vandalized, found out it impacted my rating then hated it and then I bought a metric butt-ton of training walls and don’t care. Whenever there’s new friend point items you’re always gonna get tagged.

    • Actually, I don’t see an actual connection in my game. I have seen the rating change down and revert even during events that disabled vandalism. You may even be doing it yourself when visiting neighbors and missing Sideshow Bob because his presence wasn’t announced and you were not coming across him by coincidence. I’ve long stopped worrying about that rating.

      • I totally agree with Matthew. When I was at the lower levels and didn’t have any training walls, my Righteousness rating would go up and down seemingly randomly. I never noticed a consistent drop due to vandalism (being gratified or graffitying others) – it would drop when there had been no vandalism (and I was absolutely meticulous about catching Sideshow Bob when he appeared in my town or one of my friendvilles) and it would go back up again of its own accord, even when I had been gratified (although I was also meticulous about cleaning it of).

So I’d say stop worrying so much about the graffiti (and maybe even appreciate the money and XP it earns you) or take Uncle’s sage advice about getting new, more sympatico friends.

  6. Sorry for my English in advance, I’m Brazilian.

I don’t understand it. You said that if you achieve a 5-star town you get 5% bonus, but I have a 4,5 star town and my total bonus is 49,55%… And I know there’s a player out there who bought an insane amount of donuts just to have a total bonus of 1000% (I thought of posting the source of this information but changed my mind because I was afraid it would be against this blog’s policies).

    I’m a little confused :/

    • It is 5% for JUST the 5 Stars all across. That does NOT include all the other bonus items you may have in your town. Those premium items add to it too.

  7. I am at 4 and a half stars. Gluttony and consumerism aren’t quite there yet.

I am very happy with tapped out at the minute and hope for more to come by Xmas

  8. I noticed on the other thread abt the 2014 yard sale! Where would that be located exactly? I have looked arnd, but to no avail!! Mahalo much for your help!! :). stepingstair.

  9. Thanks for the info! I always re-balance each level, but I didn’t realize that the Little Black Box was consumerism (since I got it a few days after the level update) so I still had an extra Kwik-E-Mart in my town. Always nice to reduce them when I get the chance 🙂

  10. So, basically, getting all of the freemium items for a level (and any proximate tie-inc) won’t keep you from sliding backwards down the Conform-o-Meter as you progress up the levels.

Guess I’ll need to but more space and go shopping for more existing freemium items soon, if I want to keep my four-star rating! (Although, actually, it isn’t hard to replace that with just a couple of inexpensive premium items that have good multipliers…)

    • Yes, as a freemium player you’ll need multiples of things like Kwik-E-Mart and Krusty Burger…that helps boost those areas. The others you should be able to achieve with out a problem 🙂 (remember…Training Walls for Righteousness)

      • I may have asked this before, but do Kwik-E-Marts count for Consumerism?

      • Actually, I prefer having multiple Khlav Kalash stands for gluttony,,, they take up a lot less space than Krusty Burgers for the same amount of gluttony points (I think).

I did know about needing to have multiples, and training walls, and such (that’s how I made it to four stars too begin), but I was just observing the fact that, as one climbs levels, just keeping up with getting the new freemium items won’t keep you at the Conform-o-Meter level you’d previously achieved. Believe it or not, one of my currently lowest ratings is Tree-hugging, because I just don’t have the spare land right now to fix that! But I’m content to stay at four stars for now…just hoping I won’t drop out if that anytime soon.

As I mentioned previously, it seems easier and cheaper to get multipliers by purchasing inexpensive premium items (like the jet car) with my previously saved donuts, than trying to keep the Conform-o-Meter level maxed out.

  11. My OCD and I thank you for this information. 🙂
