Springfield Heights 101: Classic Mansion

Hey there Hoppereenos!

With all the New Additions and items added to our games for Springfield Heights, it can be difficult to keep track of what each individual item has to offer you in the game.

In this post, we are going to be taking a look at some of the Buildings that you can Upgrade to not only add to the look of your town, but to also help you with Real Estate Points to unlock even MORE items. Buildings like the Classic Mansion

mansionclassicmainbuilding01_menu

HOW DO I UNLOCK THE BUILDINGS?

First off, each one of these Buildings will require certain “Unlock” points in the Springfield Heights Questlines. So it will take you some time to get through all the Questlines and Dialog to completely unlock the access to these Buildings. No worries. It is a permanent addition to our games, so you have all the time you need to get to them. No need to rush.

Just take a peek at the Springfield Heights Menu. You will first see the Real Estateico_heights_realestate_lg Requirement to Unlock a Building.

Buildings Locked

Then once you have reached the Real Estateico_heights_realestate_lg Requirement, it will then show you the Questline Requirement to gain access to the Building.

Now let’s take a look at this Building, what it will take to Upgrade and what you can get out of those Upgrades.

CLASSIC MANSION

mansionclassicmainbuilding01_menu

The First Classic Mansion will Unlock for purchase once you Collect 700Kico_heights_realestate_lgand get to Getting Classy Pt. 1. You will need to have also accessed the Coffee Shop and sent a few Characters on tasks to make Latte’s to be able to purchase the First Classic Mansion for 10 Latte’sico_heights_coffee_lg. Each of the 9 Additional Classic Mansions will cost 10 Latte’sico_heights_coffee_lg.

Once you place the First Classic Mansion and it completes being built, you can then tap on it to see what it will take to Upgrade it to the Next Level.

LEVEL UPGRADES

With this Building being a bit different, the Level Upgrades will NOT change the Appearance of the Classic Mansion Building. So all Upgrades will look the same.

The game will actually notify you when you have enough Material to make an Upgrade by showing the Upgrade Icon over the Building.

ADDITIONAL UPGRADE ITEMS

Because this Buildings Main look does not change, options to change its appearance are given instead. Not only will you gain Real Estate Points when you Upgrade, but also access to additional Decorative Pieces for the Buildings that you can use to add to the unique look of each one. Here is the Breakdown for the Additional Pieces.

You don’t even have to use these items for the Classic Mansions, you can place them in alternate locations in your game and add some cool looks to multiple other Buildings or even use them by themselves to add some cool features to any area. You will only gain access to these items by Upgrading the Classic Mansion.

So far I have found that the Buildings I would have liked to use them with are too small in size or the coloring is just slightly off. (D’Amico Summer Home, Italian Villa, Krusty’s Mansion, and the Writer’s Building to name a few.)  I found myself instead playing around with main decorations. The Hieroglyph Walls from Stonecutters flipped all the way around can be used as fencing by the Classic Mansions. You can also use the Training Walls to add to the looks.

More coming on design ideas in a separate post. In the meantime, here is just the Classic Mansion, it’s additional pieces, and some decorations from already in the game to create kind of a “Villa” look.

ADDITIONAL CLASSIC DECORATIONS

There is an additional “Classic” piece you can purchase in the Main Menu as well to add to the overall look. You can purchase as many of these as you want. Keep in mind though, these also will have specific unlock points, Material costs, and Real Estate Payout for placement.

You can see by the chart that you will need to have Unlocked the Coffee Shop, Institute of Technology, and Pharm-Er John’s Pharmaceuticals in order to fully Upgrade the Classic Mansions.

Also note the amounts required. That also means you will have had to increased the Storage Capabilities in each location to have enough space to Collect the amounts needed to Upgrade too.

HOW MANY TOTAL CLASSIC MANSIONS CAN I HAVE?

10 Building Count Down

The Buildings all have a MAX Total of 10 Each. You can keep track of how many you have purchased and how many are left by going to the Springfield Heights Menu and looking at the Counter Icon on the Building.

WHY CAN’T I UPGRADE A MANSION?

There are several requirements you must meet in order to be able to Upgrade your Building Levels.

First thing you need to look for is what you need to Upgrade the Building. If it is a Material from a Location you have not Unlocked into the game yet, you will have to wait until you gain access to the Location and those Materials before you can go any further.

In this Example, I did not have the Coffee Shop Unlocked yet, so I could not get any Latte’s to help with the Upgrade. Due to this, the “Upgrade” button was grayed out.

Deluxe Condo Level Not Enough

You will also see this if you have the Location but your Storage is not high enough to cover the amount. For instance, if the amount was 50 Latte’s and I only had my Latte Storage to 20… I could not Upgrade. There has to be enough room in Storage for the amount Requirements. Tapping on a grayed out “Upgrade” icon will just tell you that you need to gain more Storage in order to Upgrade.

If you have a Location Unlocked, enough Storage space to cover the amount of Material you need, but have not earned enough of that Material yet… you will have the option to use your Donuts to process the Upgrade. I would advise highly against this. You will get there eventually and this is here to stay, so save those Donuts for other items that will be better for your game.

Business Center Level Donut Upgrade

If you have the Location Unlocked, plenty of Storage space, and enough of the Material you need… you will see the “Upgrade” button turned to Green.

Deluxe Condo Level Upgrade

Tapping on the Green “Upgrade” button will bring up the Confirmation Screen asking you if you are SURE you want to spend the Materials to Upgrade the Building. Tapping on “Yes” will complete the Upgrade.

Deluxe Condo Use Materials Confirmation

So if you can’t Upgrade a Building, check out these points:

  1. Do you have the Location Unlocked that makes the Materials?
  2. Do you have enough Storage space for the required amount of Materials?
  3. Do you have enough Materials Collected?

HIDDEN XP MULTIPLIER

Currently there is a “Hidden” Multiplier on these Buildings you can Upgrade. This will ONLY impact XP and ONLY in your town from what I am seeing. I am not sure if this is a glitch or permanent, but here is the Basic Rundown. NOTE: This is at ALL Levels of the Building, so any upgrading will not change it.

Deluxe Condo: +1% Per Building
Business Center: +2% Per Building
Valet Parking: +3% Per Building
Classic Mansion: +4% Per Building
Modern Mansion: +5% Per Building

So it may not help you get some extra $$$, but if you are looking at boosting that XP to get to those Bonus Donuts (Bonuts) Round… it definitely is helpful.

There you have it. A break down of 1 of the Buildings you can Upgrade to add extra pieces of Decorations to the overall look of your Springfield.

What do you think of this Building? Do you plan on getting all 10? How many do you have already? Do you have a favorite Level Upgrade Point? What do you think of the additional pieces you can earn? Where have you used them? Let us know.

    Question:
Do you get a higher hiddeen xp if you bring all the extras out? Or can i keep them stired and only keep the original building out? Or are they like the cabana, more hidden xp if you bring all the accessories out?

    Thanks.

  2. I have one classic mansion placed in my Springfield currently and 2 in storage. I had upgraded all 3 mansions to level 5 and then started remodeling. I placed them all in my storage. Now when I place them they all have Level 1, but I have all the annex’s in my storage. Is this a glitch? I even leveled one up to level 2 right now, and when I clicked on it again it still said it was level 1! Do I need to place the annex/s for it to recognize the upgrade?

  3. I’ve stored 5 classic mansions and can’t see them in my storage, although all the annexes are there….any ideas?

  4. I found that the the Ocean Suite also has a 1% hidden XP multiplier. I don’t quite have the energy to check the Resort, Private Island, or Ultra Yacht. Maybe someone else on this forum can confirm. Now I wonder if the Beach Hideaway has a hidden XP multiplier in addition to the stated 2%.

  5. Can you somehow confirm that the XP Bonus is still there?
I got most of the SH Buildings out and it should be about an additional 100%. Just checked with my Simpsons House Income and it wasn’t more than my normal XP Bonus.

  6. I only found out about the SH bonus this morning…. D’OH!!! Are there any other hidden bonuses to cash or XP that I don’t know about? I see people saying they are at 300-400% bonus but my conform-o-meter is only 88.25% and I’m only level 113 but I play multiple times a day. (I’m proud to say that the recent future event is the first time I won all the prizes and got to play for bonuts after all 3 acts….)

    • Nothing else like that…most of the high percentages came from taking advantage of glitches or limited-time opportunities. For example, EA put a bonus percent on wailing walls, which was a craftable in a previous event, so folks crafted tons of them. There was a tennis court glitch at one point, that netted (pun intended!) folks a lot of easy percentages. Stuff like that. (Also, some folks spend a lot of donuts to buy lots of premium stuff that has multipliers on it.)

  7. I only found about this hidden XP for SH buildings today (Doh!). I had put them all in storage and have placed them now. However, I don’t see any change in my Total Bonus (Conform-o-meter dashboard). So I was wondering if the hidden bonus XP is still there?

  8. do all of the “additions” to the “buildings” have to be placed as well, or just the upgraded portion [ie: classic/modern mansions have additions with each upgrade]?

  9. I know that once you’ve bought a SH building/item that gives you real estate points, storing that item will not cause a drop in your total RE points (unlike what happens when you store an XP bonus item in Springfield). My question is, must the buildings that offer the hidden XP actually be placed, or do we receive the additional XP even if they are in storage?

    • No – they have to be placed.

      • Thanks for knowing and sharing. That stinks. Now I will have to waste valuable space to take advantage of the extra XP. Oh, well. Just like real life … give a l8ttle, take a little. Thanks again!

  10. The hidden XP multiplier that you talk about above, does that apply when you are using the XP collider?

  11. My comment is geared more towards how much total real estate can I get? One of my “friends” has 1.195B in real estate and I have 1.157B. I have upgraded and bought everything there is. How can I catch up to him? I don’t have anything left to do

  12. Hi Addicts :)!!! I usually prefer to just read instead of asking about something, but I don’t seem to find an answer. Do I have to get all the buildings from Springfield Heights and upgrade them to get the billion for Millionaire Haven??? Thank you for your help.

    • That is a quick way to do it… but you can also buy other items to add to your Real Estate to move up. Really up to how YOU want to play it out.

  13. I know a lot of people think this is minor, but the plural of latte is lattes, not latte’s. No apostrophe needed.

  14. I’m not able to tuck away Springfield heights buildings. So my Springfield heights is a mess. Is this normal? Will it be fixed?

  15. The ability to add more buildings to increase real estate value is now gone – how are we supposed to finish the quest to get the higher value and the bonus items now that the buildings are gone for purchase and build?

  16. I am definitely loving how the SH buildings can me modular with each other and enables you to make estates as you have shown above. The facades & addons are another great feature. Go EA I definitely like them. I just wish I didn’t have to grind away to get the items I needs.

  17. barleecreations (canid88)

Not sure if this is a glitch or my lousy memory but I could have sworn I already had 10 condos. Now I only have 7. Grrr! Can’t tell if any of my other buildings are missing. I’m also not loving that we can no longer store the SH buildings.

  18. Hi, again. This is kinda related to my other post on this tread. I was finishing off one of my Parking Garages from The Heights, and I tried to put it away, and I CANNOT. I used to be able to, but I think the Event updates glitched it out. I CAN put away any other house and business, but not the condos (or anything) from the expansion. Weird. Any thoughts? Thx.

    • They disabled the ability to store them for now…I have it feeling it’s related to the glitch of them disappearing when stored. It’ll probably be restored when it’s fixed.

  19. How were you able to stack the level 5 classic garage on top of something as shown in your “villa” pic in this post?

    • It isn’t “on top”, it is actually BEHIND the other buildings. It is similar to tucking anything behind a building (trees, walls, decos, ect)… just have to turn and angle it until it fits as close as possible to add to the impact. It worked well as the Garages I don’t like, they are out of proportion in my eyes. So… their tops look like the Classic Mansions and they fit as just a use for the top. 😉

      Hope that makes sense?

  20. Hi. Is there any way to turn off the taskbar pic notification for the Springfield Heights Resources? (upper left pic above task bar) It keeps going BACK to the shops for The Heights. Just slows things down. thx.

  21. So after the monorail update they won’t allow us to store BCs and Valet parking structures….they are taking up a lot of space and it says you can’t store this hoarder!

  22. LOVE that boost to XP, but I don’t have enough room to place all of the XP-bonus-multiplying buildings in SH. The “smart” thing would be to make room for the higher earning ones by storing my condos, but I really like my beach-side condo development.

I guess I could find an out of the way space in “regular” Springfield to put them, but I don’t really want to junk that up.

Oh well… I’m happy to have at least the amount of extra XP multiplication that I’m getting now with what I was able to place! 🙂

  23. i just find it annoying when it comes to unlocking a person to do the job you have to pay for the unlock. more than that i got 5 upgrades that are in storage because the thing’s i need to unlock them are prem, they should make a update thing so you can sell them even things in my theme park i have i don’t want like it randomly bought me the cat mascot and i didn’t even want him. EA should really fix it, im sure i am not the only one having this problem.

  24. Focusing on upgrading only the classic and modern mansions. Changes to condos, valet parking and offices are irreversible.

    • i decided to keep one of each level of those irreversible ones, and i’ll upgrade the 5 remaining, sadly i realised it when i already had all 10 condos on lvl 3, so i wont have any lvl 1 and 2… i will upgrade all mansions to max, if i ever get enough resources

    • You can reverse them now once you upgrade them to level 5. Then you can choose to display them as any of the lower levels any time.

  25. barleecreations (canid88)

I want and need the extra XP on those buildings, but I really don’t want to leave them all out. What to do, what to do.

    • barleecreations (canid88)

I have some completely upgraded buildings in storage so I placed two of them out but I didn’t see any changes. Is the XP only working on the first building upgraded?

      • Give it time to reflect a change. Your game has to sync up. Sometimes it is instant, sometimes it seems it takes a while to update the difference.

      • barleecreations (canid88)

Glad you said that as I would never have realised it. I’ll put them out and wait. Thanks Bunny!

  26. I was also thinking it would be a good idea to let us ‘downgrade’ buildings after collecting the real estate points. I want to keep at least one of each type of building at levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 (for variation) but I wonder if all the prizes can be unlocked this way.

  27. alex -aabcampos2

HIDDEN XP MULTIPLIER ???? this is great !!!

  28. I’ve experienced a bug that messed up my max number of buildings. I bought ten of everything and put the extras in storage until I could afford to upgrade them. Now I have 26 business centers, 14 classic mansions, and only 2 valet parking and two modern mansions. That means 16 buildings I purchased are gone. I may have purchased extra business centers when I saw them for sale, and now I have a tone of those! I want my 8 modern mansions and 8 parking garages back.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    • I wish I had that problem, but alas, no. If nothing else, I’d like to get a couple level 1 condos and leave them that level

    • I’ve lost ten parking garages, maybe four level one condos. But the upside is a) the parking garage was all level 1 except one level 5 (boo), and the real estate value doesn’t drop so you get more points with Lower level buildings, if you have ‘excess’ buildings you can set them in town and get ‘excess’ XP bonus.

      Expatrie-

    • Don’t put them out of your inventory! The one level one condo is the only thing I have in my inventory and all the garages and business centers I started are stuck out and you currently cannot hide them! Too much crap, so little space.

  29. The only thing I hate about upgrading is that you lose the ability to have the previous version of the building. If you don’t want the area to be the same type of building you have to not upgrade them. It would be nice if after upgrading you could chose the skin you wanted, like with the Christmas lights or the radioactive man statue. Is there any word on this?

  30. I was going to store most of the buildings after upgrading (most of) them, but now I’m torn whether to leave them all out for the xp!

    • 150% + your current bonus is way too nice for XP to hide the buildings. Tested it on Ottos Bus – gave 103 XP instead of 30 XP (which is 3,4 x base bonus – 100% base bonus + 150% buildings bonus + 90% my current XP/$ bonus). Already had bonus donuts 2x, closing to third, while I would be currently closing to first try.

Also I have just finished levelling all the Springfield Heights (1,21 billion in Real Estate Value), now trying to fill all the storage so that icons for crafting materials will no longer appear when sending my characters on tasks.
