Celebrate Oktoberfest with Gil!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Looks like Ol’ Gil has made a return to Springfield…and this time he’s brought loads of Oktoberfest gear with him!

2015-09-30 18.20.06

Going through all the details now…so as always we’ll be back with more in just a bit…

P.S. This Gil deal hitting now tells me we’re likely to see Halloween (assuming EA does an event this year, which I have no reason not to believe they would) next Tuesday or Wednesday (October 6th or 7th)… Continue reading

Where Did THAT Come From – Pharm-er John’s Pharmaceuticals

Welcome to the Lifestyles of the Springfield Rich & Famous… errr… well, to a site writing about a new rich people expansion in TSTO. In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

Addicts Want to Know: New Poll About the IRS Building and Unemployment Office

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well last week two new, highly requested, features were added to our games….the Unemployment Office, which sends “all” characters on a task at once, and the IRS Building, which works as a collect “all” feature for tapping.

Of course these features don’t come without their share of bugs/annoying traits….for example:
-the Unemployment Office won’t send everyone on a task.  Only sends 1/2 or less.
-The IRS building clears everything in it’s path including character jobs and buildings, making it harder to leave stuff for neighbors to tap.
-And with both…there’s an added expense to use them.

Now that both features have been in the game for about a week I thought it’d be the perfect time to see what y’all think of them so far?  Are you using them?  Kind of annoyed by the feature?  Love it?  Hate it?  You tell us in the poll below and if you’d like to elaborate on your response please let us know in the comments below…

Tappers 101 – Navigating The Krustyland Inventory Menu

Note from Alissa: This is another one of those super old posts…but it goes perfect with the Krustyland menu and the items that can go in Krustyland.  Since the inventory menu and store menu are setup a bit different, this post will lay it out for you with everything that you currently have in your inventory when you visit Krustyland.  And then I promise, we’re done with the Krustyland archive posts 🙂

Bunny here. Putting on my glasses, getting out my pocket protector, and getting my magic fingers and thumbs ready to type those zeroes and ones. Basically…it’s Nerdy Time!!

For whatever various reasons, our game likes to frak with our minds and heads and nothing seems to quite go right. We panic. Throw our device. Scream. Yell. There may be many tears as well.  Just slowly take your thumbs/fingers off the device or you may crack the screen. Lol.  It’s ok. I am here to help. All of us are. Promise.

Tappers 101 – Navigating The Krustyland Menu

Note from Alissa: This is one of those posts we’ve had sitting in drafts for a LONG while, but events kept pushing back the need for this to go up.  Plus many of you barely have had a chance to touch Krustyland recently.  So now that we’ve got a little downtime in the game and figure many of you are taking advantage of the time to redesign Springfield and K-Land, we figured it’s a great time to refresh our minds of the menu changes in Krustyland.  (Remember we discussed the changes for Springfield here…).

What a Wookiee Wants: Halloween 2015

It’s that time again! Halloween is right around the corner and already some of my favorite theme parks are all decked out for the festivities. Of course, that means a new Treehouse of Horror episode for my favorite cartoon and even better, the 4th Halloween Event for TSTO. I can’t believe I’ve been playing this game for almost three years but have to admit it was premium offerings in October 2012 that first got me to shell out cash to EA.

But what does this have to do with yours truly?  Well… I used to regularly post about things I’d like to see in the game. Over time, I decided it was more appropriate to highlight what y’all want but every once in a while I still wrote about my own ideas. Over time, these slowed but more and more often, items I picked out showed up in the game. Whether that has anything to do with me is a battle between coincidence and hubris. Anywho… My favorite time to do this is Halloween and I saw a comment or two about if I was going to do another “What a Wookiee Wants” for Halloween 2015 so I decided why the heck not? If for no other reason, it gave me an excellent excuse to hold a personal Treehouse of Horror marathon. That exercise alone made this whole post worth it.

The resulting list is items I saw while watching that made me think…. “Oooh, oooh, that’d be so cool in the game.” I tried hard to steer clear of the usual zombies, vampires, mutants items that are obvious choices (although any of those could be fun). Initially my list was much longer but I ended up shortening it during my second pass. Fair warning, this doesn’t imply that my list is short just that a while ago in a galaxy much closer to you than some would like it was longer lol. You’ll notice some THOH episdoes were excluded completely. In fairness, a lot of these items are repeats from my wish list last year but I did purposely avoid reading last year’s post before writing this one.  I guess a fuzzball wants what a fuzzball wants.  Without further ado or aplomb… click more if you’re interested in just WHAT a wookiee wants for Halloween.

Tapped Out Level Walkthroughs: Level 58, Frankie the Squealer

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 58 hit our Tapping Devices recently, and with it Springfield’s Mob got a little bit bigger, as Frankie the Squealer arrived in town.

While we’ve had the Turbo Tappin’ walkthrough up since the update first hit (you can view it here) I know many of you still love going back and reading old walkthroughs.  They’re great if you missed any of the dialogue while playing the level, or if you just want to know what to expect when you reach Level 58.  So for those that may have missed it (or for those of you that want to live it again)…I bring you all the details of the mobster driven Level 58…
