Where Did THAT Come From – Model Donut

Hey hey screamereenos!

Do not pull down on the safety bar, please; I will lower it for you. And heed this warning: the spirits will materialize only if you remain quietly seated at all times. Woo hoo… HALLOWEEN IS UPON US! Of course, with a brand new event, comes a ton of new stuff and thankfully one of my jobs here is to tell you just where new items come from. I know we all can’t watch the Best. Show. Ever. as often as some fuzzballs and even though items might seem familiar, a lot of things blur together and you just can’t pinpoint just where you saw it. That’s why we decided to make a fun lil feature for just this predicament. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

This WDTCF will go over one of the prizes available to be earned in Act One of the 2015 Halloween Event… specifically the fourth prize, the Model Donut.  But what does a donut with shapely legs have to do with The Simpsons? When and where did it appear?  Which Treehouse of Horror does it come from? Let’s check out the TV Series to find out.

Treehouse of Horror IV (S5:E5)

In the “Devil and Homer Simpson” segment of this episode, it all begins with Homer dreaming. He’s attending a fashion show where the models are donuts. Our new NPC is part of the fall catalogue… “a vision in raspberry cream.” I agree with Homer, this is “pure genius.”

Really just a quick blip but it’s not the only time Homer has dreamt of donuts being alive. Once again we find Homer dreaming in the beginning of an episode. In “Simpson Tide” (S9:E19), Homer was accused of eating half the population of the Planet of the Doughnuts and sentenced to death. Definitely donuts with legs lol.

Homer Simpson Planet of the Donuts

I think it’s funny that Homer likes to make the things he likes to eat and drink into animate objects in his fantasies. Did you ever see “How I Wet Your Mother” (S23:E16), aka the Inception spoof, when our favorite family goes to Homer’s Land of Innermost Thoughts and Fondest Desires? I love Homer’s friend Keggy. Basically Marge with donut earrings, a Duff keg body and pizza tongue.

Of course, if we’re to believe the dialogue in TSTO… this NPC is a hybrid of human and pastry created by Cecil Terwilleger and those devilish folks at Monsarno.  Poor mutant lady feels objectified by men that only see her as a donut with shapely legs.   She’s so much more and apparently filled with Bavarian cream in TSTO.

And that’s it. An NPC added to our game from a quick flash in a great Halloween episode. Now I’ll just prepare myself for people saying we should’ve gotten Donut Head Homer instead since this is the same segment that is from (like Homer needs any more skins lol). Have you added this classy pastry to your towns yet?  Like it/loathe it? Sound off and step off onto the moving platform with your left foot first.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. In Simpsons Planet of the donuts, Homer had his arms folded behind his back in metal handcuffs connected to the metal collar around his neck by a metal chain.

  2. oh, great. yet another NPC, and it doesn’t even play a sound – yay.

  3. I was surprised at how many people don’t like her. I got super-excited when I saw her in the prize track, and she’s the only NPC I’ve got in my town right now (system resources being what they are.)

    • I was surprised too. Not that I was super excited for her, but after putting her in my town and tapping her, the little leg kick she does made me giggle. She gets tapped on a lot now. 😀

  4. I do like the model donut a lot, but it is a bit sad she does not have a face like the other donuts. Oh well she fits with my dude in an egg suit!

  5. Planet of the Doughnuts could be an event in simpsons tapped out..

    • Mmmm.. Donut Planet… I like it, that Would be a great event idea Charmichael.

Even if it doesn’t become a full Donut Planet Event but a Homer Fantasy Event – I still would LOVE to see a Land of Chocolate event where Homer Prances and bites chocolate-labs, hopeing the grass changes to chocolate etc.

Even dancing with lollipops and icecream cones. But now that I mention dancing Homet (no not the mascot skin, but close) thinking about him Dancing away Hunger Pains (when he chained himself to a lawn chair outside DuffStadium) which may cause him to go into fantasy mode.

  6. When act 2 prizes become live in our games will the prizes we currently have access to go away? Should I spend all my brains and bunny ears now or can I use them after the last 20 hours of act 1 on new prizes?

    • S’mores prizes should still be there, but most likely only purchasable for donuts. As far as the prizes you use brains, bunny ears etc for…those are craftables. They’ll still be there.
