Looks like the removal update is live…on all devices. So if you’re ready to be done with Winter and Snow download it now!
Remember this is a APP STORE update. So in order to get the removal you’ll need to check out your App Store and download the update.
Friendly reminder that if you’re still trying to collect those last few pacifiers for prizes (or bonuts) turn off your auto updates. But remember you’ll be playing on borrowed time, there’s no indication as to when you’ll be forced to update…so you’re playing at your own risk.
So what’s next? Well here’s a couple of hints from the app store..
So what’s the same/changed?
-First off…the Where’s Maggie game has stuck around! So you’ve still got your change to earn bonuts regularly! Pretty sweet, especially in conjunction with the Rail Yard from the Monorail Event!
-Second..the snow is gone! Everything’s back to being green! Might take some adjustment on the eyes 😉
-Third there’s an imaginary bear in the stores for purchase! So all of you who were wishing there would be one, well you go your wish! For 35 donuts you can purchase your own NPC Imaginary Bear! Only in stores until 1/25/16…
-The slide factory now earns $120, 12xp/6hrs..for those that have it
-The characters that earned Pacifiers (Babysitter Bandit, Ling & Maggie), now all pay out cash payments.
And that’s about it for now…until the next update!

I cannot seem to find the Nativity Scene anywhere in my Springfield. I purchased it during the Winter event this year. The last time I remember seeing it was when I finished the associated quest line. I did not store it nor can I find it anywhere in my inventory. Anyone experience something similar?
Mine is still where I left it. I would first check Homer’s task list to see if he can still “be Joseph.” If so, easy enough to follow him to its location. If not, double-check inventory. Don’t look at categories, it might not be in one, but check through the entire main inventory. If it truly isn’t there, you could try contacting EA, although I don’t recommend that unless you have a screenshot of the item in your town, because most reps I’ve talked to require proof or tell me I’m lying.
Thanks DrTyler, the “be Joseph” task is no longer in Homer’s task list. I think I know what happened though. Two days into act 3, I experienced a glitch when I switched from my tablet to my phone and the game re-set to the beginning of act 3 again. I had to repurchase rubber baby buggy bumpers and the slide factory but I did not notice the absence of the Nativity Scene. I must have purchased it just after act 3 began and lost it when the glitch occurred. I did contact EA and requested a call back – the initial call that I made went through India and I was e-mailed an incident # but never received the call back from EA – I just let it slide at that point. Now that the Nativity Scene is gone too, I will have to go through the agonizing process of contacting EA again. Nothing is ever easy…
Looks like the simpsons will be headed to outer space after a little love and affection first. Can’t wait.
2015 was a good year for TSTO. Great events (Superheroes winning the gold; xmas getting the silver & Tap Ball coming in third) and LOTS of free donuts. Only vex was the lack of WOW during the Halloween update. There was so much potential and EA let it slip away. Oh well.
Out with the old in with the 2016. Hoping for a return of Snake bashing or Dr Crab reeking havoc on Radioactive Man and it’s up to the Springshield & the molten four to stop him.
The Hot Squishee Station does absolutely nothing now. I was hoping that after upgrading it to level 39 that would at least carry over like the castle people did. No payout of any kind is disappointing.
I guess this means I need to stop tapping everything and leave a few buildings for neighbors to tap. (I like tapping things.) Already had one sneaking around in KL. 🙂
It’s still the middle of winter. Why is the snow gone?

Ok…so i blew 100 donuts on the bear cave. But apparently it does pay out, so not a total loss😃
And, AND… yes i bought the cheap bear. Its a freakin country bear jambaroo out there🐻
Well, that was strange: I’ve updated the game and still got the push notification saying my Springfield is full of imaginary bears.
I’m pretty sure the push notifications are simple timers events; the game basically just sets them and forgets them, so that they can go off with the app closed. As such, there’s probably not a whole lot of intelligence programmed into them.
Do we expect level 60/new stuff hitting us tomorrow?
It’s possible. Or next week. I don’t expect an event until February…
I really think we will get something new before the end of week. Level 59 was ages ago, and I don’t see EA leaving us ‘jobless’ for a week 😀
Graphical things I’ve noticed:
Biohazard walls and bramble hedges have reverted to their original orientation. (Yay!)
Best ever snowman sparkles in the sun.
The xmas attractions defaulted to their most upgraded skin, but the options are still all there. (I had a few of them set to a lower level.)
KBBL is still taller than it used to be.
My post office had an extra door on the street in front of it. I’ve sold it and am rebuilding to see if that corrects the problem, but has anyone else seen this?
So I’m a little bummed, because I was literally 14 pacifiers away from getting some more bonuts when my game updated. I think it was a forced update, because I had turned off the auto update feature of my iPad. Se la vie.
Seeing my Springfield in its normal state is a little hard on the eyes. I got used to seeing snow. Looking forward to level 60 (whenever that might be).
game hasn’t forced an update yet, your auto-update setting must’ve been turned back on at some point…
All I know is that I had turned off the auto update on my device. I started the game, and it started to do the update. I didn’t go to the App Store. So o don’t know what happened. Just lucky I guess. 😔
Same thing happened to me. I have the auto-update option turned off on my iPad, but the stupid thing updated my game last night anyway. I don’t have a clue why, but it’s really frustrating that I missed out on more bonuts! This happened with the last event too 😣😖😩

My landing zone is the center of my town at the moment. Hope it stays that way.
Mine is too (center) in my B game where I am level 59 and have NOT started Springfield Heights. SH in one game is about the most I can stand.
And check that your donut spend confirmation is still on!
The Christmas/Maggie event was one of the best events in a long time! With that being said, I’m glad it’s over and I can finally get some MUCH needed redecorating done to my town. So if you by chance you are one my neighboreenos then pleas excuse the HUGE MESS that is my town. Construction in progress! 🙂
Had a horrific nightmare last night that they would just start another event
Sounds like there’s a Valentine’s event coming up. With VD less than a month away, we might not get much of a break.

Don’t see it mentioned here yet, so just wanted to let you know the kindle update is live as well now! I’m playing on a kindle fire, and it’s there for me…

I have the railyard, and maggies game – so maybe there is a good chance to get 50 more donuts in the next weeks, to finally buy Barney and Bowling alley.. I save and save and save, but I was always weak and bought something else in between – like the Moleman, Akira or other funny characters.
Love that the Where’s Maggie game is still active!
Also noticed that it automatically upgraded my Gingerbread Mansion which was not fully upgraded prior to the end of the event. It earns money now and is no longer just an unfinished eye sore!
My B account never got to the Where’s Maggie game being made active, and the Playdoh factory is now a useless decoration. If you are close to that task don’t upgrade. I didn’t care enough about my B game to force through.
I was worried about that. I didn’t get Marge until there was only 4 days left in act 3. Kind of a bummer they let new towns play parts of the other acts but not act 3 at all. I’m holding off updating hoping for a miracle run of bears.
Maybe 3 out of 100 neighbors updated. I have not.
I can’t visit those neighbors but I would like to squeeze out one more 3pack of Bonuts. Also if I don’t update, I can let the few straggling neighbors visit me (though being toward the end of the alphabet probably doesn’t make much of a difference)
I guess if I updated I can get some extra XP and cash from neighbor visits, but meh, not a huge deal to me.
I guess by upgrading what I’m curious to see the most is the new Christmas decorations (on houses) and how they look now without the snow. Deflated and whatnot.
I was hoping that the Maggie game would stick around after the event.
Well, there goes 35 donuts. I was really hoping the cave bear would wake up 🙁 Oh well. Also is it just me or is the grass…greener? It seems a lot brighter. Probably just because I haven’t seen it in so long 🙂

It’ll be back next winter, like the other ice sculpture.
But that just made me realize another reason to put of updating…I don’t want my 27 snow Lisas to melt! (Although, to be honest, I was planning to put them away once the snow was gone anyway, since they’d look silly without it…I had forgotten that the ice sculpture “melt” once the snow’s gone.
I wish Maggie’s Game worked for me. Half the time I keep tapping on her to no avail. Glad the snow is gone.

I’m normally not a fan of NPCs, especially not “goofy” ones, but I think I may keep the dancing reindeer out…every time I cross his pass I give him a tap, watch him dance, and smile. Free smiles are even better than free donuts, I think!
For those interested the little passage we get is

Now, I’m not completely sure but that sounds like we may finally be getting a ‘deep space’ event 🙂 along with a Valentines event.
