Hey, there, fellow Tappers! We’re neck-deep in poker chips here in Springfield and our friends at EA are tempting us to spend something else that is small and round – DONUTS! There are several new and returning items in the store to tempt you, including Springfield Falls. Wanting to know if it is worth spending your precious donuts? Never fear, we are here to give you the run-down this gorgeous decoration!
Decoration: Springfield Falls
Donut Price: 90 Donuts
Bonus %: none
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Size: 12×8
Unique: Yes, only 1 per town
This is a returning premium item originally introduced way, way back in the spring of 2013 during an episode tie-in for “What Animated Women Want,” Season 24, Episode 17 (for those who want to know).
Pros:
-One of the most requested returning items in the history of the game
-Unique water feature for your town
-Looks awesome
-Animated (water flows down the falls and splashes at bottom)
Cons:
-Expensive for a decoration
-No bonus percentage or payout
-It’s pretty big
-Was previously free
Premium:
This is, without question, the most requested returning item in the game, which is probably why it costs as much as it does. That being said, IT’S ONE OF THE MOST REQUESTED RETURNING ITEMS IN THE GAME. Seriously, if you like this one and have ever wanted it, get it. You may never get another chance. This is the first time this has been offered for sale in the three years since it was originally released. Yes, it’s expensive and huge and offers no bonus, but it’s beautiful. Seriously, check out what Wookiee did with it in this design post (toward the bottom). I have been coveting the falls ever since I read it. I say, snatch it up!
Freemium:
It’s expensive and just a huge decoration that offers no advantage (no payout, no bonus percentage). Probably most freemium players will want to pass, unless you’re like me and have wished for this the entire time you’ve played the game.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I bought this immediately when I saw it was for sale. However, this IS a limited-time item. So if you’re thinking about getting it, make your final decision before it leaves our games on March 29.

Bought it the second I saw it. No design plans as of yet though. I can’t believe people are actually saying they won’t buy it because now “everyone will have it”. I’ve never bought anything just because I know no one else will have it. What a waste of money lol. I just buy stuff if I like it.
I’ve been playing this game a long time.
I nabbed it- even over the Peacock Casino & other items! It’s been a coveted item and looks great in my growing mountain hideaway corner.

Would never spend 90 donuts for it though! Especially since there is no % bonus. Shame.
I like it, but it’s not something I’ve coveted for a long time. I’ll see how I feel at the end of the event when I have more bonuts saved up.
Love it!!!! It goes great with my lake section! Ever since they’ve added the oriental pond and springfield lake I wanted the falls to be a part of that area 🙂 It is a lot of donuts to spend on a decoration but its a larger item that fits with my theme 🙂

I started playing just after this was released and have dreamed of having it ever since. Bought it without hesitation, it’s a gorgeous addition to my Springfield, and as a bonus I’m a waterfall freak so I will never regret this purchase. Thanks for your thoughts Kim.
I’m a freemium player, and I bought the Falls with no hesitation. (I’m a sucker for that kind of natural feature.) I just wish there was a way to connect the pond/lake features with the river squares.
Kinda is a way, like Wookiee showed in his post (linked in the above blog), or some have hidden the gap with the bushy leaf part of the trees.
In the future, they might give us a really large tree for hiding gaps, like a giant redwood or similar

Would be appreciated yes, although if you have it, and isn’t being used to block something else, I’m fond of the Lemon Tree for stuff like that 🙂
The plum trees are nice for hiding things, too. They’re not super-tall, but they are bushy and full.
Lemon tree loses its leaves in winter. Evergreen trees are best for hiding things.
Agreed, didn’t like the look of one of my areas in the Winter due to that very reason. Just thought it would have the most leaf coverage the majority of the year.

Yes (thanks, all!) – I’ve tried to use the leafy trees to help with the waterways. 🙂 …It all works out…well, not perfectly, but…pretty well.
If you have a spot that’s still showing and doesn’t look right, can sometimes fill in the spot with the small bush like trees (not the square ones, the irregular shaped ones)
I’m glad I already owned now I just hope EA will bring back the priest guy from that dreaded easter event a few years ago.
I’ll wait until the end of the month. I always like the waterfalls and am a fan of any moving water decorations, so I am happy they are being offered. But 90 donuts is quite a lot for just a decoration, even if it is as great as this one. So, I’ll wait and see how many bonuts I can earn during the ongoing Casino event and decide then.
I want it and I don’t. The idea of a waterfall is neat, but this item has seemed small. Maybe because most of the time that I see it it’s just placed. The design by DrTyler and the one by Wookiee give it a bit more breadth by connecting it to a river tile (in both directions). I guess it doesn’t particularly interest me anymore. The longer I go without even knowing if something will become available again the more I lose interest, probably. We’ll see if that holds true for Kumiko, too.
I never wanted the falls for its rarity. For years, there’s been a spot in my park where I just wished there was a waterfall. I’m so happy to finally have one there.
Much like when I decided that my botanical gardens should include a butterfly tent, I don’t care that the item doesn’t have a multiplier, I care that it fills a specific design need. (Plus, my multiplier is around 350% thanks to the wailing walls that I didn’t have to spend any donuts on, I’m not hurting for money.)
Not wasting donuts on the falls same as I didn’t on the maple store because now everyone has them they no longer rare and I only spend my donuts on characters. If it was kumiko or guinea pig centre though I would have brought
Kumiko and the Guinea Pig Rescue are my top two desired re-releases now. 😀
I don’t want to be negative here but some of these comments are hilarious. Grown adults who have this, say they don’t like it, but only kept it on display because others wanted it? I play this game for my own enjoyment, do others play it just to rub their digital possessions in others people faces? In a game or in life, I recommend doing what makes you happy, sacrificing personal pleasure to make others happy is admirable, sacrificing personal pleasure to make others jealous is not. Do what makes you happy, but making people jealous should not make you happier than having your Springfield exactly how you want it. I love this item, it’s sort of behind the Duff Brewey and the Duff Baseball Stadium at the northern edge of Springfield, a river flows through town from this decoration. The stadium is placed just right so the scoreboard just blocks the land at the edge of the falls and makes it look like the falls flow directly into the river. The Springfield Hollywood style sign is next to it on the opposite side of the river.
We’re not all grown adults. Some of us are adult children. Grown children having baby children, how sad.
I grabbed it as soon as I saw it. I’ve been coveting it for so long, ever since I started playing. It’s funny because the other rarely released item, the Mapple store, doesn’t do much for me and was easy to resist.

I’ve wanted this one since I started tapping a few years ago. Very happy to finally have it!
I’ve had this and always placed it prominently, but now that it’s been offered again it might go in storage. Always been out of place in my Springfield, and the only reason to have it out is because of how rare it was.

To me, this is the same as the Mapple store, it’s rare so you want it, but when it becomes available ……….everybody has it, so it’s no longer rare, so now I don’t want it because it’s common

The only rare item I wanted of these three.
I didn’t buy the mapple store. Cause I’m not an apple person. Doubt I’m gonna get this. Space is limited iny town after this event. I’d rather save up for some more premium characters with buildings.the casinos took upall my new land. I’ve now become one of the people who wants more land and water added. It’s getting tough to squeeze everything into my town.
Personally, I’d like to see Kumiko and the Guinea Pig Rescue Center reappear.
Even though the falls are finally for sale, I don’t know how many people are really, truly, going to cough up 90 donuts for it, so it may still be wonderfully unique. 🙂

For It’s no longer exclusive (as in never having been released again), has no payout or percentage, it’s big no tasks there, vanity is the easiest to max out… The only pro for me is when Halloween comes a round, the water on it goes murky and dark too. Is 1 time a year a good enough reason to spend 90 donuts? Not for me it isn’t.
Side note, is there even any dialogue or quest with it?
