HI BIGPHIL & SANDRA!!! Did I worry you by waiting too long to post the Calendar? TOO BAD! 😛

EVENT CALENDAR STARTING 4/20/16, DAY 2 OF ACT 1
As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER the Act releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the New Act. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE the Act ends, as it will give you enough time to focus on all the other last minute stuff.
Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 13 days based off of approximately 1968
Clues a day.
Again, do not panic. Remember that it is slow going at first so you may “appear” and feel like you are behind, but as you progress through the Questlines and Event you will start to see that you are getting more and more and more each day. Just go at a pace that fits you, but remember the more you play the more you will get. These are totals you want to reach by the end of each day if possible.
ACT ONE PRIZES
Here’s the rundown of the prizes available during Act 1 that you can win by just playing the game and collecting Clues.
Gummy Joe- 740 Clues
800 Pickaxes- (used for crafting)- 1,280 Clues
Stage Coach- 2,360 Clues
400 Hats- (used for crafting)- 4,430 Clues
Cowboy Homer- 7,490 Clues
800 Pickaxes- (used for crafting)- 11,360 Clues
Bank and Top Chop Barber Shop- 15,860 Clues
400 Hats- (used for crafting) – 20, 720 Clues
Wes Doobner’s Rub Huts (**yes, it’s spelled wrong… but Alissa spelled it that way and it made me giggle. 😛 ) – 25,580 Clues (**Includes Sideshow Bob Skin, Wes Doobner)
BONUS ROUND?
I forwarded through to get all the Prizes for Act 1 and I did NOT see any additional Bonus Donut (Bonut) Rounds for the Act 1 of the Event in regards to this particular area. Could be due to the other locations in the game that can earn them as you play along.

Same here. I pretty far behind too but hope I can catch up later. I got the update 22.30 British Time & so I was in bed sleeping when it hit. I also had minus 128 bandits to clear as my first task. Nothing registered til I uninstalled twice. That lost me approx 200. So now I’m a good 1.5 days behind. Gotta love those EA glitches😂I’ll panic on the last day. Good luck with your game💜X

Depends on your priorities…there are no bonut rounds with this…
I’m trying for donuts. So far unsuccessfully.
What I do is only dismiss challenges that will earn money or S.H. currency (at least if it isn’t stuff I’m looking to use). The only time I dismiss event currency is if I have such a surplus of it that it wont get used.
Thanks, that’s probably what I’ll end up doing, I guess the event takes priority! Regular cash or SH is pretty useless most of the time

Thank you for the calendar! I’m right on track despite not babysitting my game like I often do during events.
Minor irritation I’m sure others have already commented on, but I noticed that while you can now put dirt roads on the new pieces of land, regular roads are behaving oddly all throughout the town – you can’t make any length median now. They default to the series of little squares inside of lines of various lengths. I had a very diverse selection of medians complimenting different parts of my town and now it just looks like it has chicken pox LOL Fingers crossed they fix it.
That should be “instead of lines” not “inside of lines”, sorry.
Feeling the same frusteration, I had a double sided highway going up my town, now it looks out of place.
Yeah, I keep checking it to see if it’s fixed 🙁 I used a lot of medians to separate everything (I like to see all of a building) and make it look like proper two lane roads, and now it just looks weird. Fingers crossed it goes back to normal.
Ok YET ANOTHER bug has just appeared for me….
A dialogue between Gil and Apu arguing about each other’s stores just keeps looping and looping, been through it a dozen or so times now and cannot do anything other than the looping dialogue……..
Anyone else hit by this?
WHY do EA insist on constantly breaking the game?
ive got 1882 as of right now and that was tapping all night and day every 3- 4 hours. but im also doing all the quests at the same time to. like gummy and the movie set quests im almost done with all of themmy town is at level 3 but my maps arent that close to 1988 what am i doing wrong im usually waaay ahead by days??
Could be the clues you’re getting from the general store…

I had a similar problem, got the prizes so far all ahead of time, but my maps were way behind the number suggested. I was stopping turning in the materials when I hit the daily prize and the next one was locked. As soon as I started trading in more beyond the daily amount, I’m back on track now.
Oh thank you so very much for this. I really thought we had to stop once we gained the daily prize. I was unaware that we could continue to trade beyond that. Hopefully my tally will increase. This site & community really are wonderful😎X
Nope don’t have to stop, but at the same time don’t want to use up too many resources, might make it harder for the next days tasks. So with that in mind, I usually stop near the number suggested in the calendar 😀

Dang. My game only updated this morning. So I must be a day behind that is upsetting. This is what happens when I don’t check the addicts page everyday.

I didn’t really want Buck McCoy but I was considering him because a) I have the donuts and b) if he helps make back Bonuts, it could be worth it. But given no Bonuts and my general lack of enthusiasm for the character, I’m now happy to pass. Nice to have decisions all wrapped up like that!

Well, random missions kept piling up so I just closed, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and voilà problem solved!
Did you guys know that since this event has a Sideshow Bob Bob skin The chances of him spawning are now doubled if you don’t have him yet.
Rub huts and La Belle Frottage, this game keeps getting better. Bunny math always helps me stay calm. Not happy about the lack of bonuts.

8G can get filled up FAST. I know… I do it all the time… hence why all my tablets have expandable storage now. 8G just gets crammed full of items to make it function and only leaves me like 3G to play with

I hate to interrupt 😉 but Bunny, can I ask what your pork rib rub recipe is? I’m always trying new ones and can’t hit on one my husband and I love equally.
To be honest, my rubs… random. I just have a mix of seasonings I like and I toss them on the meat. I do it more by site than anything. Then use various wood to “smoke” it depending on the “flavor” I want added to it.

There is also some local companies that make some good mixtures. I don’t know what is all in them, but it is yummy. I like garlic too, so at times will add garlic cloves or garlic salt or Garlic Seasoning (same maker as Johnnys) to meats to add that flavor.
I am really bad at “sharing” recipes because seriously, most I do by eye or taste. Lol

I also tend to just mix a lot of stuff together, almost always with garlic, I really like cumin myself too or thyme, sometimes I give them a more Southwest flavor, sometimes Jerk seasoning. I’m in Europe and it’s hard to get a lot of the more common American spice mixes. I did recently pay an arm and a leg for some Old Bay and Lawry’s, my husband liked the Old Bay on the ribs (having never had it before and not associating it with seafood) but I’m not eager to try it again lol. The Lawry’s was so much saltier than I remember!
Thanks again, I think next time I make ribs I will splurge on whatever spice mix my grocery has that looks appropriate; I’m a very good cook in general and can make up satisfying spice mixes for chili or whatever, but for some reason the ribs are always unbalanced and disappointing to one of us.
My husband makes AMAZING smoked ribs in our smoker. We used to do our own rib rub for them, but we found these guys at Costco last year and it was so good we now just go with this one. Highly recommend

Currently I do my ribs in the oven – wrap in foil, add a little liquid smoke, cook low and slow then finish under the broiler – but have my eye on one of those indoor stovetop hot smokers.

I was really bummed when I hit 5200 clues and got the message that the General Store is out of clues for the day. I was really hoping to hardcore addict my way through it and get all the prizes by this weekend and have ten days of bonuts. But now I’m even more bummed there are no bonuts. But on the bright side, I’m less bummed about the exchange limit.

I’m glad you like my gravatar. It’s from my visit to “The Simpsons Down Under” exhibit in Sydney, Australia in Sept 2000, while I was visiting their rooting on Team Canada at the Sydney Olympics.
I’m sorry you can’t like my Springfield right now. As you may have noticed during your visits last week, I nuked it about ten days ago, and can’t for the life of me figure out how I want to arrange it. It’s in complete disarray. I really hate the cap on Boardwalk and Ornate Pier tiles, and the slow progression of getting long Monorail pieces. Wish we could trade Monorail pieces.
Safi, I still 💗💜💚💙 your Springfield. I know its a work in progress. I remember when you had the ornate Toronto Blue Jay in SH. And you’ve used the Boardwalk tiles in a great tribute I think. Don’t worry it’ll come. I see you have decided everything up. Now I would decide what buildings to put together then just go at it a section at a this me. Or……do Special event sections first? With the new moving tool you can do a whole section then move it if you need without losing the design.
