Superheroes Sequel 101: Neighbor Visits & Social Prize Calendar

Hey there Spiderpigs!

Bouncing on by to go over the Basics of just what you can do in your Neighbors Town during the Second Edition of the Superheroes Event. I will be covering all the details that apply for up to the end of Issue 1, so take a peek below to see if this helps you.

NEIGHBOR VISITS

Now for the Basics of the Neighbor Visits.

As you play through the Main Questline for issue 1, you will be directed to go Tap Criminals in your Neighbors Towns, Goldfinger. Once you get to this part of the Questline, you will now be active to clear Criminals in your Neighbors.

Criminals Per Town: You can only tap THREE MAX Criminals per town. You will see how many available in the Upper Left Corner, or if you need to wait… the time left before you can tap in this town again.

Daily Limit: You will get a TOTAL of 50 Neighbor Actions every 24 hrs. The first 30 pay one amount, the second 20 a separate amount.

Payout: You will get the following from the Criminals up until you reach the FIRST 30 NIEGHBOR ACTIONS (1-30)

ico_cur_superheroes2_brassknuckles_lg+3 Brass Knuckles
ico_cur_superheroes2_tradingcards_lg+2 Trading Cards

This is in addition to the usual
Cash
XP
Friend Points (if applies)

NEXT 20 NEIGHBOR ACTIONS (31-50)
ico_cur_superheroes2_brassknuckles_lg+1 Brass Knuckle

This is in addition to the usual
Cash
XP
Friend Points (if applies)

If you are only seeing the Cash, XP, & FP… then you have hit your MAX taps for the day and need to wait 24hrs for your Neighbors Towns to reset, then tap again.

NOTE: I was still able to tap Criminals in Neighbors even though THEY were not active in the Event yet.

SOCIAL PRIZES BASICS

UPDATE 6/29/16: The Social Prizes have changed. See the 4th of July Release post for more up to date requirements.

Once you are able to trigger Battles in your Neighbors (Roughly after 5 Battles in your game, Releasing the Pressure ), you will go to your Neighbors and see the Punching Fist Image in the Upper Right Corner of the screen. You will also see a Number over it telling you how many Battles are available right now.

ico_battlehud_superheroes2_attack

If you do NOT see this image in the corner, your Neighbor has not played into the Event far enough to trigger Social Battles in their game, so you will have to move on to the next Neighbor or wait til your Neighbors are further into the Event. If you do not see a number over it, it means that there are currently no Social Battles available to fight in this town and you will need to come back later and check.

Neighbor Social Battle Screen Icon

HOW TO BATTLE?

Alissa already did a good job of covering that information in the post below.

Superheroes Sequel 101: Issue 1 Battles

Essentially, try to see WHO you are battling and select YOUR players in order to give you the quickest and easiest defeats. It is pretty simple as you can see them in the Upper part of the Pop Up with their Heart Level and whether they are a “Brain” or one of the other options.

For those that want to VISUALLY get an idea, Alissa also made a Video HERE.

GOOD GUY VS BAD GUY

You will be the “BAD GUYS” in the Neighbor Battles and your Neighbor will be the “GOOD GUYS”, so don’t be surprised to see the Characters you select are different than the ones available to you in your town.

Neighbor Social Battle Felon Roster

As you continue to complete Neighbor Battles, some of the Social Prizes you earn will be MORE Bad Guys to Battle with. Every Social Battle count as one in your Social Prizes, so if you complete 3 Battles in a day you will gain 3 Social Points.

Neighbor Social Battle Payout

SOCIAL BATTLES PAYOUTS

You can earn additional Event Currency as you complete the Social Battles. I am still playing around with them and will continue to test them. For what I have seen so far, here is what I earned for winning Battles.

ico_cur_superheroes2_brassknuckles_lg+100 Brass Knuckles
ico_cur_superheroes2_finitestones_lg+10 Finite Stones

Bonus: +28 ico_cur_superheroes2_brassknuckles_lgBrass Knuckles for Wins (4 per Heart Damaged)

+1 Social Battle Prize Point per Social Battle

DAILY SOCIAL BATTLES MAX

Daily Neighbor Social Battles: You can only complete THREE NEIGHBOR BATTLES MAX. If you try to do another, the game will show an error message on the screen. You can perform them in 3 Separate Neighbors (1 each) or all in one (if they show 3 available). It really is up to you, just no more than 3 Social Battles Total per 24hrs.

SOCIAL PRIZES LIST

Once you are able to trigger the Social Battles and perform one in a Neighbors Town, you will be able to go back to YOUR town and now see an additional Trophy Icon in your Event Trophy Pop Up. This is where you will see all the Social Prizes and how much you will need to collect for the Current Prize.

ico_mhub_superheroes2_socialprizetrack

DO NOT STRESS!! This will take time. Most likely the entire Event depending on how you game personally. No need to rush. Just play as you can and earn as you can.

Social Battles Prizes Pop Up

Here is the list of Social Prizes you can earn.

SOCIAL BATTLES CALENDAR

As it will take you all a bit of time to trigger the Social Prizes, as well as earn them… I wanted to offer a kind of “Calendar” of sorts so you can visually get an idea of just how long it will take ALL Players to reach the Social Battles Prizes. I will cover up to the end of Issue 1.

Hopefully this will help you to not panic so much that you are going too slow on them. As usual, to give you some time, I will start the Calendar on the day AFTER the Event began. 🙂

Superheroes Battles Issue 1

This is a rough idea of where you will be in progression if you start the Battles on Day 2 and complete 3 each day up to the start of Issue 2.

There you have it, the Basics of what to do in your Neighbors Towns during the Superheroes Sequel Event.

What do you think of it all so far? Have you go to the point of Neighbor Social Battles yet? If so, how many have you completed so far? What do you think of the Prizes? Let us know.

  1. Woohoo, just got the kiosk! Doesn’t seem to do anything, just a decoration. But looks cool!

  2. I hate to ask, but I just finished my friend felon battles. I’m a day behind with 24 points. Think I will still make it? Saw the calendar and was slacking starting out this event. But I’m ahead on the other stuff. Thanks in advance

    • Hard to say…i have a feeling some changes may be made to it as the event progresses. Just keep moving along with it and wait and see what happens.

    • Im about 2 days behind, so I’m hoping there’s some kind of adjustment with future issues. Otherwise there’s just no way to catch up. Im going to keep plugging along, and trust that EA doesn’t make it impossible to get that last prize.

  3. I usually win my social battles, but one glitched out and I’d won but nothing happened. I then retreated and it said the fight had been lost, and also I did not get a point towards the prizes. I should’ve been at 18 (3 a day for 6 days), but instead I’m on 17. I checked, and I can’t fight again. I hope this one point isn’t the difference between me getting the prize and not getting it. 🙁

  4. As of this moment, I am bummed I can’t play catch up with social battles after being away for a week. :/

  5. I am a whole day behind and with the limit of three a day, I will never catch up. Just might fall further behind. Bummer!

  6. I hate that EA hasn’t given us a countdown to the next battle. But I have developed a strategy for my social battles.
I play ONE villain per battle and lose then move on to the next battle. I still get full credit for the battle on the prize track with the added bonus of not having to wait for my villains to heal between neighbor battles. Sure I’m losing every battle but my regular play has put me ahead of the calendar for the event prize track.
I highly recommend this strategy if you don’t care whether you win or lose as long as you get everything on the prize track.

    • Or you can just fight 3 times within 24 hours, not fewer than 4 hours apart. That way, you can get all three done and win them all! 🙂

    • I’m with you on this now. It’s more important to show up and get credit for fighting than to actually win. I have Old King Coal by this point, so I don’t need the stuff towards the normal prize track. I should have thought of it sooner, but been too focused on winning the battles to notice that particular mechanic of the game.
I can see this whole social fight thing turning into a complete cock-up, especially since there’s no way to catch up.

    • Thank you ellabella7671 for the simplicity and sanity of your suggested strategy.
I, like many other players suffered from the preconceived notion of the importance of winning each battle for the completion of this prize track.

      • My preset 24hr device alarm just alerted me that it was time to attend to my social battles… no prizes for guessing that everything worked fine, sure as already acknowledged I took a hit on the finite stones, 2 instead of 10 per battle, the brass knuckles I can live without them, another minor consideration, more importantly I have certainty as to what time each day to ‘knuckle down’.
Thanks again ellabella, you’re the Queen of strategy, and with this simplified approach I’m back on prize track.

    • This is what I’ve been doing, as i can pretty much only check into my game twice a day…once early in the morning before i leave for work, and about 14 hours later when i get home. I also wish i had a countdown since my last game, or that the timer reset at a set time each day. My work schedule changes every day, so sometimes i miss my start time, and my battles keep pushing farther round the clock. I doubt I’ll get the last prize.

  7. my neighbor visit are spread through out the day. Dose the cool down counter start at the end of your last battle or when you start the first one for the day .

    • It is 24 hours from your when you start your first battle.

Lets say you wake up and play at 8am. Yesterday you started your first social battle at 8:03am and had two more after that later in the day. If you go to any neighbour at 8:02am today, you will still see 0 as a full 24 hours have not elapsed (only 23hr 59min have) from when you started your first battle yesterday. If you go back to the same town at 8:04am though, you’ll see 3 battles now (as 24hr 01min have elapsed). Now if you wake up same 8am tomorrow, you will have to wait a full 24 hours from today’s 8:04am, which probably means an 8:05am start at the earliest. As each day gets pushed back at least a minute, a month from now even if you keep playing at 8am, you’ll probably see 0 until past 8:30am.

Myself, on Tuesday I did my first battle at 9:15pm, second and third around midnight and 10am next day. Wednesday I did my first battle 9:20pm, second and third around 9:25pm and midnight. Thursday I did my first battle at 9:45pm, second and third around 9:50pm and midnight. Friday night I did my first battle at 9:46pm, second and third around 9:50pm and midnight. Saturday night was 9:55pm for the first first battle, with second and third Sunday morning. Last night, Sunday night, I had my first battle at 10:10pm and had the next two this morning. Tonight, I can have my first battle anytime after 10:10pm.

You have to wait exactly 24hr 00min 00sec from whence your first battle began in the previous 24 hour period.

      • Simpsons crazed dude

I believe you are incorrect. My wife’s social counter started at 7 p.m. last night. She finished at 7:16 p.m. The counter didn’t reset until 7:16 tonight. I hate 24 hour timers. It creates inevitable time slides.

        • Fortunately for me, I am correct in that it’s from the start of the 3 battles. On few occasions, I’ve completed battles the following morning, yet I’ve always been able to re-start that same night.

          • That might be so if you are playing on an android device but I can tell you emphatically that on an iOS device and having now played social battles for a number of days on two different iOS devices the 24 timer DOES NOT RESET from the first battle, but instead from the third battle… obviously ellabella7671 is onto something and their strategy will prove to be the correct one if there is any hope of completing the social game track, otherwise daily time slip will indeed leave you short of collecting all prizes!

            • Either it’s from the first like I say and you have a bad glitch; or from the third and I have a great glitch. Either way, I’m not complaining, because on my iOS iPad, it continues to go from the start of the first battle. Wednesday evening, I had my 25th social battle at 11pm. Had my 26th before midnight as well. But didn’t have my 27th until around 3am. Yet last night, I was again able to have my 28th, 29th, and 30th battles all between 11pm and midnight just a few hours ago.

            • I play on an iPad, and I’m pretty sure it resets for me with the first battle, not the last one.

          • I’m more curious than ever now as to where this problem with the 24hr timer reset (for social battles) originates after both you and Sandra said you are playing on iPads.
Have either of you updated to the latest iOS 9.3.2 patch, or are you still using iOS 9.3.1 ?
I’m still using 9.3.1 on an iPad 2 and an iPhone 5 which respectively have 512MB and 1GB of memory and BTW this event plays better obviously on devices with more memory, a fact I’m sure both of already understand. My ‘C’ game which I was playing on an iPod Touch 4th gen I have given up on as it only has 256MB of memory and maxed out at iOS 6.1.6 and this event is virtually unplayable on it so therefore have no knowledge as to how the 24hr social timer plays out there.
There has two ingame updates since this event started and I haven’t seen any posts as to what they might have added or fixed, but as I’ve already said with both my games, and on two different devices the 24hr social timer does not reset with the first battle… maybe I’ll give in to the 9.3.2 update and test out whether this glitch originates with Apple or EA?
            OR
Maybe I’ll stick with the strategy suggested by ellabella7671 and have three quick loses, suffer a MINOR payout of resources and at least have surety as to when the 24hr social timer resets and set my device alarm accordingly, something which EA could have easily eliminated if they BOTHERED to include a display of remaining time in social battles.

            • I’m still at 9.3.1, since my company hasn’t given the go-ahead to do the upgrade yet.

I use my healing water (can never remember what the “real” name fit that is, for some reason), to quickly play and win all three social battles, since I never need it for the battles in my town, because I use the “advanced” strategy to earn a lot more brass knuckles there.

ITA with you about the timer though…no idea why they didn’t include that. I also really wish you could use the water to heal fighters outside of battles, like you can with the bandaids! I could play so many more rounds if I could!

  8. I don’t see how it’s possible to get the last prize unless you started doing social battles right from the beginnig. I had to wait for my neighbors to get far enough in their questline. I’m a day behind, all my neighbours are. Through the restriction of 3 battles every 24h it’s impossible to catch up… (I hate it’s 24h and not per day and that there is no countdown, so I at least see, how long I have to wait.)
Am I not seeing something or is it impossible to catch up? – I guess we will have the chance to at least buy the last prize with donuts?!

  9. I just want this to end and go back to normal. All this fighting is really annoying. I don’t mind tapping on criminals but the fighting with the rundown orphan building yeah that needs to go when this is all over..

  10. I’m stuck on 9 social battles since friday. I’m trying everyday, but I always get the message that I already had three social battles. Is this happening to someone else?

  11. Anyone else got the glitch that you tap on a criminal, he disappears but there is no pow graphic, you dont see what prizes you get until they float to be countered, but no money shows. So far only happens with on person.

  12. Will these social prizes be around for the entire event or will they change? Because I have a lot of catching up to do and I’m worried that I’m not going to get all the prizes in time before issue 2 starts.

  13. I might just be able to make it to the final prize on the last day of the event as I didn’t start the neighbour battles until Friday. I’m on 6 points currently so I am a day or two behind the calendar because it was the last thing to unlock to fully start the event. BTW this seems to have a lot of work just to start.

  14. I don’t mind extra neighbor interaction,,,but man,,EA is really cutting it close this time . Hope they hear the confusion and do little recalculating to give us some wiggle room!!

  15. I don’t have enough finite stones to compete. How am I supposed to get more finite stones if I can’t fight battles?

    • You don’t need them for the battles… you earn them there regardless of whether you win or lose. Over time, you’ll earn enough to upgrade characters.

      • I fought a few battles, but now every time I try to, I get a message that says I’ve run out of Finite Stones, and asking if I’d like to spend 50 donuts to get more.

Is there any other way to earn Finite Stones?

        • Nope only through battles at this time.

        • You only need finite stones to upgrade your characters life line. If they are healthy, you shouldn’t need finite stones for them to battle. Where you see the characters, there should be two buttons: one on the left that shows how many finite stones are required to add a heart to that character’s life line, and one on the right that says ‘select’ or if the character is injured ‘heal’. Are you sure you’re not accidently clicking on the button on the left?

  16. Anyone’s game crashing while going between towns? Seems like every single time I hit the arrow button my game crashes. It’s always done it every 6 or 7 but now it’s every time.

    • YES! I was checking the comments just to see if it was happening to others. Mine crashes every single time I try to move among neighbors. Very annoying.

    • Bangles Dupree

I have this trouble quite a bit. My neighbors have some freaking gorgeous towns, and they are full and busy. Even on a good day, my neighbors’ Springfields take a long time to load (sometimes a couple of minutes each). Obviously I can’t visit all my neighbors every day like I used to. I’m still enjoying the game though, and I have the feeling others have adapted too.

  17. There seems to be some contradictory information on when the timer resets for social battles. Wookiee says it triggers during your first battle (which is useful because you can heal). Alissa says it triggers at your last battle, which is going to make getting three battles a day in, every day, difficult as the clock keeps getting pushed back each day.

Anyone know for sure which it is?

    • It is from your when you start your first battle.

Lets say you wake up and play at 8am. Yesterday you started your first social battle at 8:03am. If you go to any neighbour at 8:02am today, you will still see 0 as a full 24 hours have not elapsed (only 23hr 59min have).

Last nigth Friday, I did my first battle at 9:46pm, second and third around 9:50pm and midnight.

You have to wait exactly 24hr 00min 00sec from whence your first battle began in the previous 24hr period.

  18. The social battles aren’t showing up. Not even in other Springfield. The task is active.

  19. The battle icon isn’t showing up in friends towns. Not even other Springfield but the task is active.

  20. Between the in-town fighting and the social battles, it’s all a bit much, especially with having to do the social battles every 4 hours. I can barely find time to visit friends every 24 hours to collect all the other stuff. Now I have to take care of my own Springfield AND go battle a friend every 4 hours AND visit 10-12 friends every 24 hours? I don’t mind the battles but I’d rather stick to just the ones in my own town.

    • You don’t have to win social battles to unlock the prizes. You just have to compete in them. If you’ve been doing 3 social battles a day, you should receive a third character today as a prize for competing in 10 social battles.

Once you have three characters, you just need to do social battles once a day. Just send all three characters separately in three battles. That is to say one character per battle. You’ll probably loss most of your battles, but winning doesn’t really matter. You won’t have to come back in four hours or again for the next 24 hours.

      • It’s not a matter of winning or losing, it’s just not giving me any fighters to use. I fight a neighbor once and my felons need to be healed with Band-Aids or I need to wait 4 hours for them to be available for me to fight again.

        • Again, your comment makes it seem like you’re selecting both felons in each fight.

If you only select one felon per fight, right off the bat you can do two fights at the same neighbour one immediately after the other. Yes, you’ll then have to wait 4 hours to do a third battle.

So when your 24 hours start, let’s say at 8am, go to a neighbour and fight them with Doctor Doc only. You’ll lose. Doctor Doc is down for the count for 4 hours. Then immediately start your second fight using Testost-Irene only. You’ll again lose, and Testos-Irene is down for 4 hours as well. Now you’ll come back 4 hours later at noon and use one or both for the third fight. No need to come back a third time. You do this the first three days only.

But then by the fourth day, once you fight your first battle of the day with Doctor Doc only at 8am, you’ll unlock a third felon Tungsten Dude for participating in ten battles. Then you immediately start your second fight with Testost-Irene only at 8am. Then immediately start your third fight with Tungsten Duded only at 8am. Your three fights are now all done and your three fighters are all dead for four hours, but you’re not going to need them for another 24 hours.

Now each day, you have three fighters and can select one per fight and fight three fights immediately one after another and not have to worry about them healing for the next 24 hours.

  21. Hello Tappers.

I just noticed I lost 3 social battles! Last night I had 9, 3 for each day of this event, and this morning I was down to 6. I had won all 9 match ups, if that makes a difference. And was totally frustrated when I tried to report the glitch to EA their site kept pushing me around in circles, unable to send anything. Now I am wondering if this will keep me from completing the Social prize line. Dang.

  22. So basically with the social battles you have to do it everyday to get all the prizes? I wish it would just reset every day then. I always forget what time i played and having to wait until after means everyday I lose a couple hours…

  23. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but I think I lost one of my unused social battles yesterday. I’d only used two of the three and today when the new battles were added I only had 3. My remaining social battle from yesterday didn’t roll over to today 😔😔😔

  24. Does the social battles only reset 24 hours after the previous battles, rather than a day calendar? If so, it’s going to be almost impossible to do all 115 in 40 days (basically miss a day and you’ve had it)

    • 3×40 is 120….you’re ok if you miss a day..just depends on when you started the battles

24hrs from when you started your last battle. So if you started it at 11:59pm you can play them again at 11:59pm the following night

      • andisuryad501

the final prize was 115. does that mean if you start 2 days late… there is no way to recover? or do the socibattle that your friend choose to do count to this number as well?

        • Settings may change for Issue 2

          • I’ve been assuming that there will be some kind of change like that… In my experience with this game so far, it seems that WE pretty much always makes it possible to win everything without having to play like a complete fanatic. It didn’t seem like EA to set up the social thing in such a way that you’d have to pay every single day to get the final prize.

I guess I just have more faith in the inherent “fairness” of EA than some folks do!

  25. When I use the Unemployment office to send people on tasks, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Mr. Burns and Snake aren’t included. I usually do 4 HR tasks during the day and all of these characters have 4 hour tasks. Anyone else having this issue? It just started during this event.

    • Me too. I also noticed that when I send someone to do a four hour task at the wild west building, it used to have the animation available. Now the task is going but no animation and the character is available for a different task.

    • It’s a slight glitch in the Unemployment Office programming right now. It has specifically chosen those characters as those characters all have event skins in this event that you have not yet unlocked. Stretch Dude, Clobergirl, ?Bouncy Baby? (forget Maggie’s superhero name exactly), Fruit-Bat-Man, and Cyborg Snake.

There will probably be a patch to fix it soon, or it will fix itself when you get the character skins as the event goes on.

  26. So 115 battles to get the film studio. 115/3 = 38. Unless I’m misinterpreting then you would have to complete 3 battles a day for 38 days straight, and the event lasts 40 days. That’s really not going to be achievable for most people, especially us in the UK that didn’t update until the day after it landed 🙁

  27. This was probably mentioned SOMEWHERE and I missed it… but I learned today that even if you visited your neighbor for the day for clicks, you can go back later to same neighbor to do the battles. I went into one neighbor today and the fist showed ‘0’ (which I thought was weird since I go same time every morning). I was bummed..Somehow I missed the 24 hour threshold? So I reluctantly collected FP, hit criminals etc.. but out of curiosity, I went back into the same neighbor a bit later and instead of ‘0’ fights for the fist, the ‘3’ was there… even though it said come back “20 hours later,” I was able to do a social battle. (I thought I had to wait full 24 hours from neighbor visit). So now I know. YAY!!

    • The social battles are independent of the three taps you get in your neighbour visits. So even if you tapped your neighbour 4 hours ago and it says “20 hours later” for when you can do neighbour visit taps next; it doesn’t affect felon battles.

As for it saying ‘0’ in the fist and then saying ‘3’ shortly thereafter, I believe that’s due to you playing the same time everyday. My theory is that the same time caused you to be early a minute or two. Lets say you wake up and play at 8am. Yesterday you started your first social battle at 8:03am. If you go to any neighbour at 8:02am today, you will still see 0 as a full 24 hours have not elapsed (only 23hr 59min have).

  28. Is it just me or is this one quite buggy? I use 2 android devices and on both the game crashes several times a day (never had that before). And starting yesterday when i tap on superhero related things (battles, the superhero menu etc) nothing happens unless I close and restart the game. I got the update but still getting these slightly dull things going on 🙁 Otherwise it’s fun!

  29. Good tips! It works out well when 2 of the 3 felons are of the same fighter type, e.g. Brawn, brains, or tech, so you only need to use one of your heroes (whichever fighter type dominates the 2 felons) to beat the two felons, as long as you refuel with science water. Hard to explain, but I’m hoping someone understands my awkward writing!

  30. Thanks for all the hard work guys! It’s amazing you actually manage to participate in the events sometimes 😛
