Where Did THAT Come From – Attack Helicopter & Plastic Prison

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

Hello EA. I just gotta say, this new technique of pointing out origins of items in unlock screens is both a blessing and a curse. I’m sure there are a lot of tappers who don’t know about sites like this and appreciate the heads up but some days it feels like your trying to make me obsolete. Of course, some people don’t notice them or like to hear my thoughts so this won’t stop me from pointing out images and talking about the episodes items come from. I guess I should say thanks for allowing me to mentally check out and be lazy? For this edition, we’ll be taking a look at two of the prizes from Issue 2 of the 2016 TSTO Superheroes Sequel.

Attack Helicopter – third Issue 2 prize – 22,300 Soilant Red
Plastic Prison – sixth Issue 2 prize – 50,350 Soilant Red

Like the fine folks at EA said, the attack helicopter comes to us from “Homer the Whopper” (S21:E1). This episode is the Comic Book Guy self-publishes his own comic book and gets the property picked up by a movie studio episode. To pull my best Troy McClure, you may remember this episode from such posts as One-Week Wonder Films or a plotline that includes Homer getting skinny and buff for a movie role but later getting fat again lol.

CBG actually wrote 335 issues of the comic including the controversial Death of Marmaduke issue. It was ripe for a movie studio to pick it up and Ginormous Pictures does just that.

The attack helicopter comes to us via the Everyman Movie.

Homer uses nothing but a wrench to take it out. Wowza. There’s lots of attack helicopters to be used making the movie set in Gothamopolis.

The next item comes to us by way of “Bart’s New Friend” (S26:E11). It may not seem like a superhero episode but we do see Pie Man and the Cupcake Kid right at the beginning.

Don, the guy who’s been covering Homer’s job for years has retired and Homer finally has to do his job and make sure atoms don’t go boom. Homer becomes a workaholic so Marge takes him to the circus to help him get a break and “find out why a man would think a stool is a proper defense against a lion.” Watching this episode, I think some tappers use the circus’ internet provider when playing TSTO.

Homer gets hypnotized and hilarity ensues. I really enjoy this episode based off a twenty-plus-year-old script written by Judd Apatow. I wrote a whole recap if you’re interested. The plastic prison comes to us at the very end of this episode in one of those scenes that the writers seem to like to tag on to the newer episodes. The hypnotist Sven Golly has been caught and in a great parody of the very first X-men movie, placed in a prison very similar to Magneto’s.

Loki shows up to parody the similarities of the prisons in X-Men and The Avengers. I suppose this particular prison features in X2 also, so if you want to pretend it was based on the second movie, go right ahead, just don’t mention the third movie or we might nerd wrestle. You know, I never considered the Hulk prison to be a similar plot convention… weird. Anyhoo… here’s an image from the X-Men movies for comparison.
