Where Did THAT Come From – Rocket To Your Doom

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

By Hawking’s chair and wowza! Act Three of the 2016 TSTO SciFi Event has arrived and once again there’s even more new stuff to add to Stephen Hawking, black holes, multidimensional visitors, and lots of sciencey futuristic stuff to figure out where to put in our games. A lot of this new stuff might have you wondering just where the heck it all comes from. Well no fears inter-quantum dimensional guys and gals, that’s where this walking carpet earns his bread and butter (seriously, that’s all I’m paid in lol). For this dimension of origin stories, we’ll be looking at Rocket to your Doom, a premium item offered in Act 3 of the event for 80 donuts.

“The Man Who Came to Be Dinner” (S26:E10)

Wowza… the canon Kang and Kodos episode that took 26 years to happen after being rejected as the plot for a second Simpsons Movie. It all starts with a trip to Dizzneeland! Funny to me because a lot of my adventures actually start that way lol.

Funny stuff too since the Simpsons have to go through security scanners, Star Wars has taken over a lot of the park, and they parody the political correctness of Pirates of the Caribbean. The first two things hadn’t even happened yet when this episode was aired. Just another example of the Best. Show. Ever. predicting the future. Well, the Star Wars stuff was inevitable but the first is eerie.

Our favorite family heads to Futureland, errr, Out of Date Land. Why do I see this as a forecast for some of our towns after this event?

The Rocket To Your Doom ride is located there and has just opened with no line. Ummm… if that’s not suspsicious, nothing is.

It wasn’t on the park map but the family goes on the ride anyways. What could go wrong?

The ride transfroms into a UFO… not that Kang and Kodos’ voice over the PA should have been a warning.

Our favorite family leaves Earth’s atmosphere and is whisked away to Rigel Seven. They have lots of knobs and buttons, clearly a superior race. Everything on Rigel Seven is purple including the landscape and trees until the occupants decide to change the color at will.

I’ll stop there just so you can have the opportunity to enjoy the rest of the Rigellian jokes as well as a parody of the second Matrix movie.  Check it out or at least feel free to read the episode recap I wrote. The beginning Dizznee stuff is well worth it. That’s really about it friends… a new premium item that can be had for your previous donuts. What do you think of it? Enjoy the Dizznee parody? Did you buy it? Sound off in the comments and happy tapping. Alas, we only have two appendages to accomplish it.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. This episode should have been a two parter. They were so much good ideas that could have been exploited in this.

  2. Thanks Wookiee. I loved the initial shot of “Happiest Hell on Earth.” We (extended family….12 people) are doing WDW over New Year’s this year and so I sent that to everyone. I am mentally prepping for the …. magic. Yeah, magic.

  3. Another episode with plenty of decoration/NPC ideas 🙂
