It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky and there are monsters everywhere to battle. Just like October in every other suburban town in America, no?
The Halloween Event is in full swing on our devices and it’s full of creepy decorations, buildings and characters…all designed to get us into the Halloween spirit!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Film Strips (
) to unlock each prize!
The second Act 1 Prize is awarded at 8,750 is the Bell Tower, because Quasimodo needs somewhere to go…
So let’s take a closer look at this second prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 8,750 you’ll automatically be awarded the Bell Tower and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go back into your inventory to retrieve it.
Once placed a little bit of dialogue pops up from Barney, but that’s it. No questline (other than the initial one telling you to unlock it) and nothing to help you earn more …just unlock the prize and move on.

Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +200
Earns: $200, 20xp/12hrs
MAG Points: Earns 270 
when built.
What Does it Do?: Earns money….Moe has a 4hr task there (Size Up Imaginary Targets, Earns $175, 45xp)

I think it first nice into ‘Despair Heights’ – I have made a dedicated townarea to all things spooky, located next to the woods where vampire Burns Castle and Lennys Tower is located. Quite happy with the layout 🙂 – pls do add Me: Virtuallyone – would be cool to see how spooky you’ve made it.
Ok so I feel like I am going crazy….my game suddenly looks much “smaller!” Actually the fully-zoomed-out screen seems like a wider shot, and the fully-zoomed-in screen seems like a better close-up than before……but the character icons in the top left corner are super tiny now, and the text or dialogue boxes in the middle of the screen also seem super tiny! I didn’t do anything except restart my phone. Did my settings somehow change? Did I just screw something up on my phone because I’m incompetent? I hope someone else is experiencing this so I know I’m not crazy :/
I have done the update, but my Springfield hasn’t turned into the usual Halloween, and all of my old tasks are still up. Has anyone else had this problem?
I LOVE the bell tower! Especially with the bats flying around it! Bats in the belfry!
It also adds a four-hour task for Moe.
I wish this could go on the squidport. I think a little “island” with just the bell tower would work really well. On land, I don’t have a great place to put it right now. It doesn’t go with the church in terms of color or shape. It kinda-sorta goes with the writers building, but that’s not really thematically suitable. Oh well, I’ll figure something out.
I agree with you, I’m having a hard time figuring out what to put it with. Right now it’s beside my town square, and it may get stuck there if I can’t think of any place better.
I think I am on track with everything, it’s hard to tell with the obols and MAG but I think I am doing alright. I have Burn’s castle from the regular prizes, I’m on my way to the seventh prize from MAG points and my construction yard is level 6, halfway to 7. I haven’t decided what I want to build next but probably a vampire coffin.
I’m now building an area with only Halloween stuff and I’ve moved some items from previous years there. I think that the fireplace goes very well with the new stuff. None of the wooden houses from previous years are there though, only stone structures are allowed in that area. I think it’s looking good so far but I’ll probably rearrange stuff as I earn more prizes.
BTW, is there any bonus from the pumpkin house? It doesn’t really fit anywhere so I’m thinking of storing it.
Yes, it seems to me that EA will have to change things up a bit in Act 2 if we are all to accumulate the huge numbers of Obols required.
I’m enjoying the event though & looking forward to the next stage.

Way ahead on this event more than any other, think I was a fair few days ahead of where I should be last time I checked and I have no idea why, I don’t seem to be on it anymore than usual.
Hopefully lots of Bonuts once I place the final prize in chapter1. Gotta say however I’m not entirely excited by this event, it seems a bit lacklustre.
I unlocked the obol pack this morning and either they weren’t kidding about how small it was or I can’t find it in my inventory.
My only gripe about this event is how hard it is to get the obols.
Everything else is great!
I think it’s only ten obols. Not super noticeable.
I was thinking it would be a decent amount but I was sadly mistaken lol
