Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The pride event arrived in Springfield yesterday, along with a ton of buildings busting up a bunch of brackets!
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is similar to the previous mini-events (like Homer the Heretic and the Most Dangerous Game before it), in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all the Pride inspired prizes…

Rainbow Balloons is a questline that runs along with the main questline. This one requires you to pop various amounts of Balloons to earn prizes. The first prize is a set of Pride Balloons and each after is “skins” for them.
Here are the quantities you’ll need to tap…
Pt. 1- 50
Pt. 2- 75
Pt. 3- 125
Pt. 4- 200
And that’s it! All there is to the main prize track for the Pride mini event!

I sure like tapping balloons more than tapping plague rats…but that’s just me…😄
And I wish we could tap balloons in neighbor towns instead of hunting for untapped buildings…
Agree love tapping the balloons. Would be nice when visiting neighbors too.
gotta say, i’m already missing the fully upgraded panini press option though…. think that spoiled me.
Does anyone know if you can switch the crossings back to regular white again after you’ve painted them? I love the pride event but afterwards from a town planning point of view I’d like some to be white
Yes you can. Once you get all the colors, each color becomes a ‘skin’ and like the balloons you can toggle to having them all white, or one colored, or two colored, etc., up to having the full rainbow!
I imagine there are 50 replies to this already, but yes, once they’re fully painted you can select how they look.

Yes, you can. Slide into the various color combinations.
i’m sure you will have 20+ replies to your question by the time this is moderated, but just in case you only have 10+…… the answer is yes, you can.
Yes, once you fully upgraded it you can switch between the different layouts 😉

I like the idea of gradually painting the sidewalks, just a bit different.

Not trying to rush, but….
Every 3 hours the three Characters earn 150 badges.
Play 4 times a day = 600
Play 5 times a day = 750
Play 6 times a day = 900
PLUS Balloons = 4×30 or 5×30 or 6×30 = 120 or 150 or 180 a day
PLUS:
I bought the She-She Lounge (good value) and its paired partner the He-He Lounge (Horny Gentleman) = 75 or 150 each day
I can earn 800 a day without even trying hard.
My ONLY complaint about this mini event is that I wish it was going to give us John and Cockamamies Collectibles! That’s my number one wish list item for TSTO

Crosswalks on streets means cars on streets soon I hope! Love them!!!
We’ve been able to place those barriers on roads for years, and the Spy event gave us those pop-up manhole covers. Having non-moving cars on roads would be fantastic – although having them drive around would be even cooler
Which is why I LOVE my street sweeper! 🙂
These last mini games have been lame. Sexy pirate? A dinosaur? An Egyptian monolith? Have the writers simply given up and ran out of ideas?

The balloons are much more like Stephen King’s IT. They all float down here.

Yay, more clutter. Now in garish colours 😉 I don’t mind the message, in fact I’m a strong supporter of it, but I never got their penchant for those shrill colours.
Actually, three of the new buildings aren’t very colorful at all, so you may like those! 🙂

If they keep doing mini-events for Pride (or the month after Pride) every year I’m going to have to clear more space to expand my gayborhood.
This is not a complaint.
I rearranged and stored some things on my Squidport to make room…the apartments will have a space at the entrance and the shops and bars will be together on the tiles. So far, it looks great😁.

Definitely the best event we’ve had in a long time, everything about this has been so beautiful.
I’m just glad this mini-event gave us a character and not another friggin skin.
I missed the last piece of dialogue about the crosswalks. I only have the red stripes painted – how do I get the rest of the colors?
Every three hours you can tap them to add another colour.
Don’t worry, it generates every few hours. Just wait and it’ll let you paint the next colors soon.
Tap the crosswalks every 3 hours and you’ll get a new color. The paint pail icon should appear when they’re ready…
Every three hours, you’ll get the opportunity to click the crosswalks to continue the paint.
Just tap them every 3 hrs. You’ll see an icon over them once they’re ready.
“Tap your Pride crosswalks every three hoursto add more colo(u)r and earn Pride badges.”
You have to wait three hours – then you can paint the next colour. Repeat until completed. (It also earns badges, too.)
Every 3 hours you can paint another stripe. Look for the icons above it. It also gives event currency when you add stripes
Every 3(?) hours, you’ll see a little floating paint can over each of the crosswalks. Tap on the paint can to paint another stripe. 🙂
The last thing was a comment about coming back every three hours to add more color.
Just go back in and paint again after 3 hours (tap on the paint bucket) and then you will get the next colour (plus 5 event currency per tap).

Every few hours a paint can icon will appear over the crosswalk. Once that appears you can tap it to paint another stripe and earn a badge.
Every 3 hours icons will appear. Click once for each crosswalk and it will add one color and 5 credits toward the event – 25 every 3 hours- until you have the entire rainbow

Simply tap the crosswalks every 3 hours. You’ll know when it’s ready when you see a paint can symbol over them! They’re pretty neat.
Every three hours after you place the crosswalks, an icon will appear over each crosswalk that you can tap. Every time you tap, another color will be added to the crosswalk. Very simple.
Every three hours you will be able to tap on them to obtain another color. 🙂
The paint “mops” will show up every 3 hours…tap them to add another color to your crosswalks. This will continue to happen every 3 hours till they are completed.
You can get back to paint the next color every 3 hours 🙂
Lay out the crosswalks and wait. 3h. A paint bucket appears hovering over each crosswalk. Tap it and the next stripe is coloured 🙂 Then another 3h …

Every 3 hours, there should be an icon above the crosswalk. Tap it to fill in another color.
It works also if you wait 4 hours. Basically if you wait 4 hours you should see a floating icon to tap on and you will make progress on color shading. But 3 hours is all fine.
I like painting my neighbors sidewalks when visiting their towns! Surprise!
I was wondering about that during my neighbor visits today…if I trap the paint can, does it really fill in a stripe from their perspective, like it dies forum mine? I did it a couple of times, but then felt guilty, because I might have taken away the fun for them of doing it themselves.

Anyone know how I can trigger this event to start? Do I need to be a certain level/unlocked a certain character? Updated to the latest version on the App Store but nothing’s happened in game
I’m thinking you need Homer free, as well as possibly Lisa, Marge, and/or Moe.
If you have everyone free and it still didn’t start, I’d try doing an uninstall/reinstall.
What level are you? I would think you would have to have Moe’s before the mini event will trigger.
It should have started immediately after installing the update in the App Store (or google play store, etc).
I had the same issue yesterday…did a hard close, went to the app store and the update was still there, did the update again and it worked.
Homer starts it make sure all characters are available not doing tasks it should start it if not uninstall reinstall ( make sure having plenty of room when reinstalling) thats what i do 🙂
very often a quick trip to krustyland and back makes the missing dialogues pop up as well 🙂

Love the event just would love a little down time got so much to do just finding it hard to keep up with event after event.
I hear ya on that. Only got one day that I didn’t have to bring my iPad to work and sneak logging in a couple of times.
I agree. I understand the perpetual need for events, but TSTO reminds me of some summer camps as a child. Some of them would pack the days and evenings with so many activities that your only real “free time” was sleeping. I preferred those camps that at least gave us a few days of relaxation — and allowed us to explore.
I suppose that we do have the benefit of choosing whether or not to participate in each event though. We aren’t being held hostage by the game. However, I’d love to have a couple of weeks of “down time” so that I can KEM farm or stockpile some money.
Those “log in every four hours” can mess with your brain and biological clock. Last week, I was biking across the Golden Gate Bridge and stopped to “tap” due to my four-hour alarm. On the 4th, I was tapping near the elephant seals at Año Nuevo State Park after I heard my alarm.
Consequently, I think that I might sit this one out. 😛
Love all the new buildings in this little event. Along with the SheShe Lounge and Samba School, I’ll now have a little “village” in my town. Sooper!
Colourful event and was going to give it a miss after the last event but need to do it as any character on a bike is a must for me
Nice update, but I see they left the digging game active – does anyone know how we can earn shovels now? If you have to buy them (with donuts, no less) that’d pretty much kill the fun of that great little game.
Shovels are automatically generating
Not only do the shovels generate – they do so without the dig site being actually in the town.
I stored it in order to move things around, and when I pulled it out of inventory, 12 shovels had already accumulated.

Shovels on a timer, max 10, I think, prizes for finding gems, so far got barrels a rock piles, don’t know what else there are
The max is more than 10. I just used 20 and got a castle wall, a stone cutters wall and a barrel.

Max is 50 now and you get 2 shovels per hour
Washer and dryer too.
You get so many after so much time. I didn’t notice the particulars, but I think it’s every 4 hours. Don’t waste money on shovels. So far the prizes aren’t that great – like the claw machine.
I was playing in the digging game yesterday to finish allnthe shovels, what I saw, they goive you a few every hour
They accumulate (1 per hour, not sure maximum number) once you have at least one you’ll see a shovel floating over the excavation site meaning you can play.
They should automatically accumulate every so often. I believe it’s one every hour or half hour.
The shovels seem to auto regenerate over time so you just need to wait it out if you`ve used them up.
Hey! There’s a timer on it and you automatically earn shovels when it reaches zero, then it restarts again. Can’t remember how many hours it takes, but the amount of shovels varied for me – first time was 6, then it was 4; which accumulated to 10.
Hm…. I had 16 shovels this morning and now 18……
I will take a screenshot next time.
I had 32 this morning. So there may be no upper limit. I know that during event when I had all the prizes for that leg, I would just collect shovels and I had over a few hundred at one point.

Shovels generate automatically, 1 an hour, until the max of 50.

I’m so excited for this. I’m LGBT, and I love all these new items. Also the She She lounge and Twonicorn showed up in my shop, and I’ve been wanting both SO BADLY. I’m so hoping I can get enough donuts on time to buy them. Or at least the lounge.
