Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy posts from the past so you all can see how much they originally cost and what specifically each building, character, or decoration does.
80 donuts is a bargain for most of these items…except for items that were originally free, as getting it for free is the best deal…but still 80 donuts is a fair price for most of the items at least. So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you really want…give it a try. You’ll likely get something worth it. I will personally buy all the Character Mystery Boxes available to me first, as 80 dounts is a great deal for a premium character in my opinion.

I only had Brandine in this list ….. I got Sophie Krustofski …..she was 5th in line first page aint got any donuts for more :/ debated honestly if to because of Christmas so soon but too gooda deal 0@:~}
Already had Brandine, Chester Lampwick, Shauna and Sophie Krustofsky.
I got, in order: Jimbo, Lucius Sweet, the Wiccans, Babysitter Bandit (The character I wanted most in the box, the premium event character I’ve been most gutted was premium), Sideshow Mel and Drederick Tatum (Actively working on getting 1 billion in Springfield Heights, currently at 600 million, and his 8 hour coffee task will come in very handy, since coffee is what I have shortages on most often).
I might be able to save up enough donuts for one more go, but we’ll see. Either way, I’m happy with all of these.
I got “Motherloving Sugar Co. with Diabetty” and “Lucius Sweet”. Too bad. Had hoped for more central figures like Jimbo, Brandine or Shauna. Or buildings like Sleep-Easy or Krustylu Studios and of course the Wiccans for their bonus.
I wanted Diabetty but I can’t justify opening the box anymore this close to Christmas. Hope she comes back outside of a box. Wish I would have passed on Quinn and saved those donuts.
For me it was the only box that was seriously interested in because they have finally offered up Herb for a discounted price instead of his normal 200 donuts
i have been saving up all year for this. It was my 5th attempt before i got Herb but i didn’t mind as for those prices and the fact that I am getting so many bonuts from the rail yard I was going to get every character that I didnt already have from this box. No worries about getting a decoration or building it was full characters every go
This is what I’ve been waiting for since Herb was released. I could just never justify 200 donuts for him, even though he was the last character left for me.
Got Miss Springfield, Angry Watkins and Chester (only one i didnt want tbh), so thats 245 donuts saved.. nice
I got Miss Springfield and Tatum! Yay! Two less characters to purchase. I might try two more times as I want Diabetty too.
Got Ling on third try then, Chester on the fourth try. Really wanted Diabetty!!
If I pass out this box, will there ever be another chance to get DiaBetty?
Probably, but only EA knows for sure
For me in my character box, I have Anger Watkins, Dia-Betty and Herb Powell available which cost 535 donuts to get all 3 from the regular price and 240 donuts from the box so that saves me 295 donuts (30 from AW, 145 from D-B and 120 from HP) which is more than half that I save from the regular price. This is the best box out of the other because I have been waiting for Herb to become cheaper since his first release over 2 years ago, I passed on Dia-Betty because she was too expensive to buy when she first appeared so now she is a very reasonable price and Anger because I did not know what to do with his desk when he first appeared. 🙂
This was easily the best of the mystery boxes, though I still prefer the previous Black Friday formula. I already have Brandine, Jimbo, Sideshow Mel, Lucius Sweet, Lucille (babysitter bandit), Shary Bobbins, Miss Springfield, Shauna, and Sophie in my Springfield. Also already have Lauren Powers, Mr. Dewey, Baby Gerald, & Ladybot but they were featured in other boxes.
I so wanted Unkie Herb and got him on my 6th try. Got Ling first, followed by Anger, Sideshow Bob’s wife, Tatum, Dupree, and finally Herb. As soon as I got Herb, I stopped as I only had 200 donuts left. Spend 480 Donuts and got 2 characters I really wanted (Herb and Tatum) and the rest I really wasn’t interested in at this time.
Decided to buy one and got the Wiccans which were the only ones I didn’t really want. Oh well
This is the only box worth anything in my opinion. Trying to farm enough donuts to get them all. I have been playing since the beginning so I already had some of them. I am annoyed that they stuck some in the characters in other boxes. I really wanted Father Sean I had him in one of my other towns when I used to play multiple towns. I also wanted Key Largo for the discount, reluctantly I tried his box once and got him. I am still in shock that worked. It is great they are offering all these items at some really good prices this year. I was very disappointed with Black Friday last year.
Had 15 characters as an option. I had to try it once and received Sophie Krustofsky. I was hoping to get a building and character combo. But another character crossed off the list.
Quite a good selection of characters but nothing to persuade me to buy boxes.

I really really want Drederick Tatum as I just missed out getting him whacking day 2013. After 4 tries I got:

I have enough doughnuts left for two tries, however the odds are not in my favour. I am happy with what I have so far and I’ll be disappointed if I got Chester Dupree, Lucius Sweet or The Wiccans so…….. it’s back to saving doughnuts 😊
I got 300 donuts and a few 60 donuts to clear out the gold box, so I tried at this box a few times, got Lucius, Diabetty, Sideshow Mel, and Sophie. Was going to try again for Shary but I just did a few bronze boxes instead. Got Duff Racer, Abandoned Shop thing, and Imaginary Bear (YAY!) In the words of CBG, Best. Black-friday. Ever.
Had 5 characters available in this box. The only box I tried for donuts after spending the free token – first attempt = Herb (wanted him a long time, but 200 donuts was too much). Second attempt – Dia Betty (did not realize she was so expensive originally). Third attempt Sophie Krustofsky (the one I wanted most). Two more remain as I am short in donuts – Ling and Francesca. At least one more try (I have already 70 donuts, 10 more to go for next try).
So purchased 12 donuts to get one token free – Rad station and Ling were the result.
I got Lucius Sweet and Shauna – the only two characters I did not want.
Got Francesca and the Rocket car. Pretty happy about that! Got Mars (yuck!) with the free token. All out of donuts.. Boo!
I got Francesca, Lampwick, and the Mars Colony too. I managed to talk myself into playing one more time, and got my first choice – Miss Springfield.
Only had Betty in mine … very happy with the discount! 😁
Thank goodness for Black Friday deals on iTunes Gift Cards. Only had Brandine. Just bought all the characters as they’re all good, but REAAALLY wanted Sideshow Mel (got him last).
This is BY FAR, the BEST Mystery Box ever offered by TSTO ……. It is a win-win with every single purchase ……. This box had only 12 characters for me, and I purchased all 12 for 960 bonuts ……. 100% Satisfied & happy customer here
In my opinion, players should buy this mystery box first before approaching any other mystery box
Not going to spend bonuts on any other mystery box as I dont want to risk getting any building or NPC ……. Going to save all my donuts now for the December holiday event
First try and I got Drederick Tatum. Wanted him for a long time but never wanted to spend that many donuts on him. On my second try I got Chester Lampwick. Not bad.
Got Vegas gals and Diabetty because they were the only ones available for me. This is the best box for the gamble I think.
Only things in mine were Diabetty and Anger Watkins, so I took that shot and got Diabetty. Considering whether I have any interest in Anger, since it’s a pretty good price. We’ll see.
The best thing about anger watkins is I think he unlocks a 7 day sports week task at the Channel 6 Tv station. I use that all the time. Never noticed it before he showed up. I havent seen that posted on the site, but I may have missed it. Can anyone else confirm if he is the trigger to that?
The 7-day task was added in March of 2017, at the same time that Anger Watkins was released. But you do not need Anger Watkins to trigger this task, everyone should have it. (I know that I have the task but not him).
In my box I had: The Coliseum, The Wiccans, Ling, Sophie, Sugar Co, Sports desk, Lucius, Rocket car, Powell Motors and The Vegas Wives (Appearing in that order) I wanted Ling or Powell Motors and I got Ling. yay, thank you EA. 😃. Safi, my magical wish idea must have worked 😀 🐱🌸🌟
DiaBetty and the Wiccans were the only two I needed from this group.
And if I have it figured correctly, I only have less than 10 Full Characters to go to fill out my Library
Excluding Stone Cutters, Clash of the Clones and all the NPC’s and Skins.
BTW, would the 3 Nerds (which I got on my second attempt) be classified as one character or three 😂😂😂

Safi is the Math genius around here 😀 but, if you click on the hammer and sword icon (bottom right corner) then click on the Homer trophies that appears in (the bottom left corner) it will bring up a character list. I hope this is the list or library you were referring to. 🌸🐱🌟

I have 266 characters, not counting NPCs. (Added up Unemployment office numbers.)
I’m missing the Nerdy Business owner, the Metal Dog, SciFi robot, Shocker Robot, Itchy & Scratchy Robots, Red Leprechaun, Raven Bart, 2 Zombies, Fairy Kodos, all THOH 26 Nightmares, Grumple guy, Ice Queen Burns, 3 Boardwalkers, Itchy & Scratchy Mascots, 2 Whacking day Snakes, Stonecutter Hibert, Bart-man, 4 Terwillinger mutants, Jockey Bart, Matador Abe, Football Nelson, Rainbow Horse, Casino Bart, Casino Cat woman, Casino chip, Fireman Apu & Homer, Old West Maggie, and Old West Strongman.
Not sure what’s a character, NPC, or costume.

Various characters on Quests.
Looked at what I’m missing using the “trophy ” tab and tried to figure out, of those items I’m missing, which are skins (simple) and which are NPC (difficult)
I’m missing 9, so my count was ~280 — close to 283
Now, what I’d like is the chance for Stone Cutter Skins, so I can close out those categories.
The npc count is separate from that figure. So are the skins.
I’m only missing about 6 npcs now … but a shed load of skins.
Difficult to become a completest in all aspects of the game!
I had all characters available . Anger, Miss S., Shauna, Vegas gals, Sophie received in that order. Almost a clean sweep for the ladies! Also got the Nerds with that there free token. 9 characters for 400 donuts + token, not too shabby. 0 donuts left. Merry Xmas to our wonderful Mods and all the Tappers!
I only had Lampwick, Shary Bobbins and Anger Watkins left and decided to pick them all up as you said, they’re a bargain at 80 donuts.
The free token gave me the Donut Boat which, in my opinion, is the best thing to get here for free. In my second game it was the Bandit Fort, a pretty lackluster item.
Cleaned out this box. 80 donuts for some of the lesser known, but fully playable, characters is a great deal.
