Should I Spend Donuts on Snake Eating Rudolph?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, there’s no denying that it’s officially Winter in our pocket-sized towns as the 2017 Holiday Event blew into our towns with a major cold front!  Of course, while the town is frosty cold the store is hot, hot, hot…and loaded with new premium items just tempting us to spend our sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Snake Eating Rudolph to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this interesting duo to your town…

Full Disclosure:  You guys know how much I love this time of the year & this event is loaded with really good content, I do intend to purchase every single NEW premium item available.  So I’ll do my best to provide an impartial view…but odds are it’ll be a little biased because I think the content for this event is phenomenal.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
This one doesn’t do much & unless you really love snakes you should pass.  Of course, I purchased it anyway…but I’m a sucker for Christmas stuff.  Even if it’s just a red Rudolph nose shining through a snake.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player, I already told you, I picked it up.   But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the dialogue it comes with…

Snakes on a Sleigh
Auto start

Santa: …Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen…All shackled up and ready to go.  We just need Rudolph.
Elf 1: Uh, Santa?  Remember how Bart Simpson asked for a python for Christmas?
Elf 2: And we said no, that’s too dangerous, but you said “Aw, let him have it, maybe we’ll get lucky and it’ll eat him.”
Elf 1: The snake got hungry early.

  1. 😈Couldn’t resist… just too wonderfully twisted to pass up😈

  2. I thought about the name far too literally for too long. Snake eating Rudolph? I looked at the picture and thought “no it’s a Rudolph eating snake.” Totally looked past it being descriptive 😂

    • Lol – another case in which hyphenation is the key! “Snake-eating Rudolph” would have meant a Rudolph that eats snakes. Without the hyphen (or if the hyphenated phrase had been “Rudolph-eating snake”), you get what we got.

  3. Not my cup of tea…have Lumpy, a couple snakes from whacking day, 2 lizards and a few dinosaurs roaming my town already. My reptile quota is filled😜🐍🦎🦖🤪.

C’mon, be honest with your opinion.
This is a steaming pile of expelled XY cattle fodder.

Back to sleep, for me. I’ve got a company
    ”Holiday’ (wink, wink) Party/luncheon
In a couple of hours. And as a retiree, I get to go to the front of the buffet line. Lots to eat is coming at me.

  5. Screw this, bring back Lumpy. I will spend donuts on him!

  6. Of course I could not pass by this one, as being a Rudolph myself😁

  7. One of the few items I just don’t get (and haven’t bought accordingly) – any idea where this is from?

  8. I don’t easily get offended, but as an animal lover, the whole idea of this turns my stomach.

  9. Definitely a no for me.
I think EA will be on Santa’s naughty list for making that decoration.

    Poor Rudolph. 🙁
Not sure why they couldn’t have given us Rudolph on his own, and not inside a snake…

  11. It’s nowhere near as good as the snake with the kids (was SO happy when I finally got that sometime earlier this year!), but I got it anyway. Meh. Not saying I want my donuts back, but, if you’re tight on donuts, I’d skip this one.

  12. Can be placed? Wait… This does not slither around the town like the other snakes and come to the boom boxes when you tap them. I was thinking about buying this. But not if its not a snake like the others.

  13. Caca! Boo…urns!! 👎

  14. you know, i originally thought this was a rudolph the red nosed reindeer that ate snakes.

  15. A tad disappointed with the decorations that don’t do anything in this event. Prob would have gotten this and the Santa plane if they had any sort of bonus. Even a half percent each. Something. But 90 donuts for nada? Pass. I’ll save it for premium characters/building combos.

  16. With only 1 day left, I stupidly got this
    Wish I’d known earlier
”Should I buy” is turning into “should I have bought” lately

    • Always, Always, Always and I mean Always check the info before you buy something. Did I mention to Always check the info before you buy something?

  17. Mayflower in the vault for 75D net. Took this instead. Awesomer and with bonus 😛

  18. I was hoping it would be an NPC like the snake with the kids in it from Whacking Day (which I don’t have).

  19. Disappointed no bonus but it looks great in my zoo next to the reindeer enclosure 😂

  20. I picked it up right away since it’s got the twisted humor I appreciate from the Simpsons’ stable. I think it’s fun and especially like that the SFX for Rudolph’s nose is the same as the namesake’s cartoon special.

  21. Would it have killed them to throw some kind of bonus % on it?

  22. Scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one I think…
