Everyone good? Great. Let’s move on.
It’s a new event in Springfield, and we all know new events come with LOADS of questions! So it’s time for an all-new Addicts Question Corner. Let’s get to it…
Several of you are posting about the glitch that is showing up regarding the North Pole Station. This is clearly a “skin glitch” (they should have that looked at by a dermatologist!), as it has affected not only those who purchased it new with this update, but those who already had it in their game (like me).
As I already had it, I can’t address those who are trying to place it, but…some testing proved that it is a bit of a “Mirage” at this point.
After the update hit, the station appears to be two clicks out of whack with the track.
However…the monorail runs perfectly fine, as if the tracks are connected!!
The full size train, pulling into and out of the station is the tip off that all is well…even though it looks weird.
HOWEVER…when I adjust the station to match the track…it suddenly behaves as if it is NOT connected, and I get the short, two-car monorail, just bumping back and forth.
I suspect this same anomaly has something to do with the attempts to add the new station, and have it keep saying you need “7 more pieces of track.” It is confused…to say the least.
SOLUTION? WAIT IT OUT. EA will have to fix it. Look for a bug patch before too long…it is widely reported.
I have to say…if the first few hours are any indication, this may very well be the BEST CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY/Religious/Non-Religious Update EVER! It has something for everyone!! I can’t tell you everything we know…but, I pretty much have to say, I think they listened to our huge (and overblown) debate about Christmas/Pagan etc. last year, and Busted It All Wide Open! Simply laughing…and laughing…and laughing at the dialogue.
And yes…while there are a handful of duplicate/redundant or re-purposed items in the Crafting Store (aka Jesus’ Carpentry Shop), the very fact that these items are supposed to be handmade by the Son of God (or perhaps a Cuban baseball player) makes them pretty darn special!
But, as always…you are going to Want It All! So…let’s take a look at how many Batteries you need to earn to Get It ALL!
There’s nothing quite as beautiful as Springfield in the snow, is there? Yes, it’s finally winter in Springfield as the 2017 Christmas Event dropped in our towns late yesterday afternoon!
For Act 1 of Christmas, you’re tasked with working your way through the introduction of the initial Alien invasion…as Kang plots to take over the world!
As was mentioned on the run down post Act 1 of Christmas runs until December 19th (when Act 2 will start), and you’ll need Kang and Kodos to get things started
Don’t forget the Questline will help you get some bonus prize currency…so make sure you complete it to earn that extra currency…also the questline is there to guide you. Make sure you complete the main questline in order to unlock things like neighbor actions, crafting and more.
Now let’s work our way through the blizzard of the Act 1 questline….
