I’m quite enjoying this mini update, though am trying to juggle it and monorail grinding so it’s going a bit slower.
That said, I visited Ebron’s lovely town earlier and the first thing I see is the blue zoo visitor – I must have tapped him about five times before l remembered the zoo update’s finished and hes just a new town resident. D’oh!!
THIS! I got Jub-jub from the Mystery box and I am constantly mistaking him for an ‘invasive toad’.
The toads are why I bought the NPC package…love me some toads!🐸😍🐸

I would like to see the Office Of Unemployment expand. Sometimes I’ll be out for two hours, sometimes six. I’d like to just be able to set anyone with that length of a task, with ease.
I’d like to be able to set a default task, so that everyone does the tasks in premium buildings first.
Likewise. It sort of frustrates me that my characters with tasks that aren’t the ‘standard’ never get to use them because it’s just too time consuming to go through 200 plus characters individually.
The Unemployment office sends characters on tasks for whatever skin they were in last, so go through all 300+ once and from then on the Unemployment office will send the premium, or super premium skins on tasks automatically … Unless of course they get used for a event quest in the meantime.

Oh, I know it does. I was talking more about the original commenter’s wanting the times to expand. There are several characters with 2, 3, 6, 7, 10 and 16hr tasks that never, ever get used because it takes so much longer to go through individually than it does to just click on whatever the closest option is to however long I’ll be away from the game. 12 at bedtime when you know realistically it’s going to be closer to 16 before you have time to reset everyone… it’d be nice to send those with 16hr tasks to maximize their returns, for example.
Skins aside, most of the characters go to their default task for 8 hours through the unemployment office rather than Dance the Senor Burns for $420, as an example. Selecting the tasks manually takes a lot of time and I have just under 200 characters If you’re cash-strapped like me to support KEM farming down to $0 the extra revenue helps but it’s work.
Does anyone have permanent tasks at the Stardust Drive-In ? It looked great with a movie playing when Lisa did the event task there.
I’ve been wondering that myself. I hope it’s not like the house we got at Christmas that looked so pretty all lit up with Cletus doing his task, only to never be used again.
I’ve since sent Lisa back, the broken projector task remained earning event currency, I expect it will switch to cash once the event ends.
Weird Al has a 12 hour task there. I think its seek inspiration.
A couple of things: First, maybe it was mentioned somewhere or I just can’t remember, but Snake’s Cyborg skin earns at a premium rate. Has that always been the case?
Secondly, I know there is a whole post about getting to 2 billion for Springfield Heights, but I am only at 1.55 billion after upgrading everything. Does that sound about right? Anyone have any suggestions on what to get to get to that 2 billion mark? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Furniture, latte’s and yoga mats. Stay away from everything else. Don’t let total on these items get below the maximum. Then craft. You’re in for a heck of a grind for that last 500mill. Clay tennis courts pay off a lot toward REV.
Keep it up and you will be in an elite crowd with all bragging rights.

I just hit 2 billion last week after deciding to make a regular effort from about 1.4 billion in March this year. It was a tedious grind, but the introduction of the 8 hour tasks help a lot.
I disagree with the previous poster. Use all of the currency types. Assuming you’re starting from scratch, grind until you’re at 299 of each currency type. Then start your 8 hour tasks for each currency. Once they’re done, craft clay tennis courts until you’re back to roughly 299 statues. Restart your 8 hour tasks for statues. Craft one elegant grill and one exotic pond for 30 ads – matches the production of the two 8 hour tasks so you never drop below 299 ads. If you’ve got excess currency of the devices and pills, craft until they’re back to around 299. Restart their 8 hour tasks. Do the same for the other three currencies. Rinse and repeat, and repeat, and repeat. You may have to temporarily pause the production of the higher level currencies from time to time for 8 hours if they’re eating too far into the lower level ones.
I had hoped for some sense of achievement for reaching 2 billion, but it only brought relief that I didn’t have to grind any more.
Forgot to add….if you’ve got some spare in game cash, use the Googolplex to craft 5 statues whenever you can. Every little bit helps.
You can buy multiples of yachts, helicopters, tennis courts and other expensive toys in the store. The best thing is, you don’t have to keep them all out…once you buy them, your SH $ total never goes back down if you store all the extras.😁
Really? How did I not know storing things didn’t lower the total? I guess I just assumed it was like the bonus percentage and they had to be out to get credit.
I think I have 10 helicopters and 6 yachts in storage…one can never have enough helicopters and yachts…pip, pip…🧐
I didnt know that helicopters and yachts increase your xp percentage? Do you know how much each generates?

I thought I saw a “movie” play at my Stardust Drive-In earlier in the Quest line. Is there a way to get this to repeat? I have it next to my other Drive-In and it would be neat to play a double feature.
That would make sense, unfortunately E.A doesn’t put too much creativity into the game anymore. Come on E.A simple things like that go a long way!
I had the same thing happen yesterday; was hoping to catch the end of the movie today but when I logged on the screen’s greyed out. Maybe it was only a limited release thing and has gone straight to DVD/BluRay …
Lisa has a job there which activates the “movie”…it’s not as good as the other Drive In, but it does show a short scene.

From when Homer out eats Trucker Red at a Steakhouse, then decides he and Bart must finish Red’s deliveries. A fav episode of mine, and reminds me of the Christmas episode of King Of The Hill.
Hank and Bobby rent a big rig to deliver furniture to Hank’s mother and return home by Christmas Eve. Of course Bill, Boomhauer, and Dale stow away in the trailer and hilarity ensues when the 3 stooges get the rig stuck on top of a mountain and out of diesel…in a snow storm

Without a task to activate it there’s no reason to keep it out…into storage after the event, boo indeed.

Enjoying the mini event so far should get the final prize tomorrow. Been working on building a proper zoo although it’s also going to have a mythical creatures section for the warmonger habit and peek at em Park as well as moving the bully vern and burns dragon and a couple of dinosaursin their as well. Was going to put the giant lobster scorpion there but decided he looked better as an escapee from the bug house with recycling some of the rude crowd trying to get in past it. My only problems really are not having a proper entrance or sign to the mythical area and the shape of the zoo because EA didn’t open the land to the right. But I have sacrificed part of my itchy and scratchy land to fit it in as the zoo is of much more interest and fun to me personally.

Here a thought, put your a mythical zoo inside your “wizard” area.
That’s what I’m going to do once I finally work up the motivation to redo my wizard area. I never really finished it last year. I’ll get there eventually.
Finally was able to get to the Itchy & Scratchy section of my town and actually store the 3 rides without the game crashing on me in a matter of seconds. With all that stuff stored, my game finally works and I can play like normal. It’s like I never had any issues at all. Not sure when I’m gonna try and put that stuff back in the game (Krustyland is too big to fit in my town and isn’t there yet), but I’m sure I’ll have game issues again when it does go back (animations of the riders was turned off but the other little ones, like the curved track pieces smoking and the water ripples of the log ride were always there).
I know my game is only going to work this good again for a short amount of time until more stuff arrives in our towns from future events and I believe a separate device is needed for only this game. I’m an iPad user with iOS 7 still on it (was afraid updating might affect playing this game). For those who have been playing for years with their towns pretty much full, what do recommend I get for a tablet and the storage capacity? How does the game run for you? What issues have you run into in the past or currently experience now? I thought about another iPad, but I’m still out of work and I’m looking for something a little cheaper. I appreciate everyone’s help.

Was lucky this week, Florence totally missed Savannah…not even a drop of rain. I feel for my neighbors in the Carolinas, tho…the flooding is going to be a major issue for several more days and lots of places have already gotten 2 to 3 feet of rain. (Going to be a good week to donate to the Red Cross, if anybody has extra cash.) Lots of folks have 3 to 4 feet of water in their houses and rescues are being done by volunteers with boats as well as emergency personnel. What a mess…hope anyone with relatives there gets good news and their loved ones are safe and dry. 😊

Hi Ronin…my town is coming along, but I’m not in any hurry to add everything back in. I hit 9500 pieces yesterday…I’m adding back small sections at a time, so I don’t get carried away and boost my piece count too quickly. Finished replacing Burn’s Water Mansion yesterday and will probably work on putting the Stonecutters back next, but it looks like Krustyland will stay in semi-permanent hibernation…just too many pieces, and Halloween is right around the corner (easily an 800 to 1000 piece event). Here’s something new I finally finished this week (been looking for a use for the butterfly gardens).😁

Loved the zoo pieces, just not the zoo as a collection. Between Venice and Egypt I added Azzlan and lions to my Roman Colosseum.

I’ve just spent a lovely two weeks in New York, with loads of good foods and drinks and sightseeing. Particular favourites were the Bronx Zoo, and a tasting tour at the New York distilling company but I could pretty much have spent the whole holiday just people watching 🙂

I had the dreaded mystery box prize as the accumulated prize after 5 days was expecting to get something rubbish again like a chalmers car or klav kalash stand but was pleasantly surprised to get 10 donuts.
The Mystery Box is equivalent to six donuts. Buying Mystery Boxes is the easiest way to improve your game.

Hope everyone in the path of Florence and the super typhoon Mangkhut are safe. Hectic weather indeed!!! For us, after the good rain last week, it’s been back to a dry one with no rain in the forecast until Sunday and Monday next week! Guess it’s time to haul out the watering cans again…
But the big news for us this week is WE BEAT THE ALL BLACKS!!! IN NEW ZEALAND!!! Sorry but this doesn’t happen very often so I’m allowed to get excited 😄 In fact, the last time we beat them in NZ was in 2009, they have won 56 out of 57 previous tests at home and we have not won against them anywhere since 2014. And the final score was 36-34 so it was sooooooo close. Now we have to see if we can repeat it on the return leg which will be played in South Africa in early October 😄
The mini event is proceeding expeditiously – will earn the last prize tomorrow some time and then will complete the quest lines for my new purchases. I think I’ve made a start on designing. I’ve finally finished (I think…) my I&SL area and decided where my zoo will go so can now make a start on that. We’ve finally got a decent amount of rain going on here. The campfire ban on the south coast has been lifted. I can’t remember if I said that last week? It isn’t super heavy rain most of the time but that’s good. Better to let the ground get used to having water again than have so much come so fast that it uproots trees and causes slides like a couple years ago.
My sister’s dog hates the rain, though. It’s really funny how fast he goes for a walk (once I force him outside – I walk him every weekday in the afternoon) when it’s wet. He’s a big fan of snow, ironically. Just doesn’t like when he gets it all stuck to his belly. He’s a long-haired chihuahua. Super fluffy and super tiny, but super affectionate and friendly.
I’m getting really excited for my nieces’ birthday. They turn 2 in two weeks. When you ask them how old they’re going to be, they each hold up one finger on each hand and shout “Two!” Twins are so fun. Their party’s going to be Minnie Mouse themed. They were so premie that they were in the NICU until mid November so to see them doing so well is just awesome and worthy of celebration, I think.
The mini event is going well, I’m about halfway done. It’s been a busy few days so I’m lucky if I get in three times a day. I’m glad they’re so low-key, mini events. I do wish we had a chance to get Spider-pig, but it’s fun.

Stupid question probably, but why do they call it test matches? Sounds like they are just fooling around, waiting for the real game to start…
Not a stupid question cos I didn’t have a clue. Just a term I have always used without ever wondering where it came from 😊
It seems that it is called a Test Match (whether it is cricket or rugby or another sport) simply because it is a ‘test’ of the strength & competency of the two sides. Test matches are between national teams although the West Indies, the British and Irish Lions also have Test status as does the Barbarians invitational side which plays against South Africa, Australia or New Zealand every year.
It seems the term was first used to describe international cricket matches in the late 1800s and has been in use since then.

I just put it together manually in GIMP on my computer. I haven’t found any apps that really work.

My friend in Macau had his windows blown out of his apartment, very scary and horrendous. The whole town is flooded. Mature can be very unforgiving. Congrats! So exciting. Make sure to get in lots of snuggles. They get big so fast. I don’t have any yet myself but my sister’s twins keep making me go ‘how did you get so big so fast???’ and they were barely 3 pounds each when they were born. Now two weeks out from 2 years the taller of the two has to be careful not to bonk her head on the counter.
