Flanders Family Reunion Prize Breakdown: Canadian Flanders (Eh?)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Flanders have invaded Springfield…hopefully to liven this up a bit! As the Flanders Family Reunion has officially kicked off! What will happen in the new update?  Will Canadian Flanders say one eh to many?  Will Ted Flanders unload all of his Spinich?  Well, you’ll have to read the dialogue to find out! Of course, a new event means new prizes to earn and new prizes mean it’s time for everyone’s favorite prize breakdown posts!

Remember, this event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes.  For each of the parts of the Flanders-O-Rama questline, you’ll have to earn  via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.

So let’s take a look at the first event prize, Canadian Flanders…because everything is better when a Canadian is involved! (we ❤ you Safi!)

How You Get it:
Flanders-O-Rama Pt. 2
Make Ned Argue With Ted Over Which Religion is the Correct One- 4hrs
Collect Herbal Spinach- x400

Once you’ve completed the tasks you’ll automatically unlock Canadian Flanders…

And he is part of the Flanders Family Character Collection…

Other Details:

Voice: Canadian Flanders is voiced, with some pretty funny phrases!
Event Currency: Canadian Flanders does help with event currency.  He earns organic spinach at a rate of 12/4hrs

Questline: Canadian Flanders does have a full questline, BUT he also helps earn event currency.  So hold off on completing his questline until you’ve finished the prize track questline (i.e. Finish Flanders-O-Rama before starting Canadian Flanders, Eh)

Canadian Flanders, Eh? Pt. 1
Canadian Flanders starts

Canadian Flanders: This reunion has been great, Ned, but I was hopin’ to get oot and see more of your exotic country, ya know?
Ned: Exotic? You got it all wrong there, Canadian Flanders. America is as normal as creamed corn! It’s the rest of the world that’s strange and godless.Still, if you’d like me to take you around, I suppose I could gas up the old Flandersmobile.
Canadian Flanders: As we say in the Great White North, let’s take off, eh?
Make Canadian Flanders Plan His Sightseeing Itinerary- 1hr, Earns $70, 17xp
Make Ned Gas Up His Car- 1hr, Earns $70, 17xp
Canadian Flanders: On second thought, I’d rather just walk around town.
Ned: I don’t blame you. It’s never a good idea to expand your worldview too quickly. I’ll give you the not-so-grand tour of Springfield. You just let me know if things get too interesting.

Canadian Flanders, Eh? Pt. 2
Canadian Flanders starts

Canadian Flanders: Oh geez, who’s that husky fella in the blue uniform?
Ned: That’s a police officer. He enforces our laws.
Canadian Flanders: In Canada we call them Mounties. They patrol the territories on noble steeds and rescue ladies from being tied to train tracks.
Wiggum: Um… Today I rescued a box of day-old crullers from a dumpster…
Canadian Flanders: I assume you stand for everything upright and honorable, just like a Mountie?
Wiggum: Yeah… Standing upright’s not really my thing. I’m not getting paid to exercise, you know.
Make Canadian Flanders Grill Wiggum- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp
Make Wiggum Feel Inferior to the Mounties- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp

Canadian Flanders, Eh? Pt. 3
Canadian Flanders starts

Canadian Flanders: I don’t understand this “baseball”. How are they supposed to get around the field without ice skates on?
Ned: There’s no ice on the field during baseball season, Canadian Flanders.
Canadian Flanders: Oh geez, what a crazy country!
Ned: You have baseball in Canada!
Canadian Flanders: And where’s the poutine guy? I don’t like watching sports unless I’m eating fries covered in gravy.
Ned: They don’t have that here. But if you’re looking for a nibble, I’ve got just the kibble!
Make Canadian Flanders Try Peanuts and Cracker Jack- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp
Canadian Flanders: This Cracker Jack is even better than poutine! Crisp peanuts and popcorn, caramel coating, and a secret toy surprise.
Ned: I’m gonna have to ask you to zip the old lip, Canadian Flanders. This is getting dangerously close to unapproved product placement…

Canadian Flanders, Eh? Pt. 4
Flanders starts

Canadian Flanders: That’s strange, I’ve never seen someone walk a tiny, antler-less moose on a leash before.
Ned: That’s a dog. Don’t you have dogs in Canada?
Canadian Flanders: Nope. Just a whole lotta moose. Hey! That tiny puff-tailed rat moose just stole my Cracker Jack!
Ned: That’s a squirrel… These Canadian clichés are getting so over-the-top even I’m a little offended!
Canadian Flanders: That’s impossible, Ned. We Canadians don’t offend people.
Make Canadian Flanders Chase a Puff-Tailed Rat Moose Into Its Tree- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp

Canadian Flanders, Eh? Pt. 5
Canadian Flanders starts

Ned: Where did that pile of lumber come from?
Canadian Flanders: Oh, you’re welcome. I chopped down that old tree in your backyard. I don’t wanna put you out anymore, so I figured I’d build me a log cabin to stay in the rest of my visit. Ya know, because I’m Canadian?
Ned: That tree was Maude’s favorite spot to relax in the shade…
Canadian Flanders: Yikes! Just got myself a pretty bad splinter dere. I’m about to pass out from the pain, but on the bright side, I’ll get to see a real American hospital!
Make Canadian Flanders Handle Lumber Without Work Gloves- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp
Make Ned Take Canadian Flanders to the Hospital- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp
Canadian Flanders: Please, Doc, pull out the splinter. I can’t stand another minute of the pain.
Dr. Hibbert: I’ll get right on it. But first there’s the small matter of how you’ll be paying for the procedure.
Canadian Flanders: Paying for medical care?! This country’s a disaster! I’m going back home where they’ll pull my splinter for free, eh? So long, hosers!
Ned: I’m sorry, Doctor Hibbert. Our ways are strange to him.
Dr. Hibbert: Oh, that’s okay. He’ll pass out from blood loss before he reaches the border. *chuckles*

WDTCF: “Midnight Rx” S16, E6

In the episode, Canadian Flanders doesn’t appear to be related to Ned, as Ned appears to have just met him.  Perhaps this scene is where the Herbal Spinach comes from?

Here’s a quick (poor quality) video clip of the encounter I found on YouTube….

Canadian Flanders’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Plan His Sightseeing Itinerary 1hr $70, 17xp Flanders House
Check his Bear Trap 4hrs $175, 45xp Brown House
Try Peanuts and Cracker Jack 8hrs $275, 70xp Duff Stadium/Downs/Brown House
Jam Session 12hrs $420, 100xp Outside/Visual at Reunion Banner
Diddly Dispute 24hrs $600, 150xp Outside/Visual

And that’s it my friends, the details on Prize 1, Canadian Flanders, on the Flanders Family Reunion prize track.

Thoughts on Canadian Flanders?  Do you remember him from the show? Happy to have a Canadian in Springfield? Do you ❤ Safi?  Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. The great thing about Canadian Flanders is that he has an 8 hour task at the Duff Stadium which only Duffman could go there for a 2 hour task. He also doesn’t have his own 24 hour task since his one needs Ned and Ned will be needed for other things like the Rail Yard and the quests from this event. I like that he along with the other characters in this event have 12 and 24 hour visual tasks which is a rare combination since I can’t think of many people who have these times for visuals apart from Jay G. I didn’t notice his 12 hour task was at the banner at first so I was expecting it to be at one of the stages from previous updates. He’s still a decent character. 🇨🇦

  2. For the first part who else besides Flanders and Cletus (I’m at level 50~ something) can collect Herbal Spinach?

Puff on a reefereeno and rejoice …. because the whole Flander’s Family is voiced and has some of the best visual tasks (thank you EA, this Event has been a blast!)

I should have the last Prize tonight (or Monday, because I take weekends off from Tapping)😀👍
