Should I Spend Donuts On Robot Marge and the Ziff Wedding Home?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Love is in the air!  Although maybe not so much in the Simpsons’ household…
Love and War is the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns, and it’s an all-out romance novel affair!  Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Robot Marge and the Ziff Wedding Home to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Artie-induced combo to your town…

The Rundown:
-Standard price for a character/building combo
-Helps earn event currency at a premium rate
-Not Voiced
-Comes with questline
-Visual Tasks are 4hrs and 8hrs
-Will use the Ziff Wedding Home for tasks
-Animated tasks are amusing

What Did I Do?:
Grabbed it.  The standard price, a new character to help with the event… It is a weird-looking version of Marge, but I do really like the design of the Ziff Wedding Home.

Here’s a look at the tasks…

Robot Marge’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Seek Out Intruders 1hr $105, 26xp Ziff Wedding Home/Brown House

Perfect the Art of Killing 12hrs $600, 150xp Ziff Wedding Home/ Brown House
Power Down 24hrs $1,000, 225xp Ziff Wedding Home/ Brown House

I’ll have the full dialogue of the questline up later on, but for now, here’s the Turbo Tappin’ version of the questline…

I just got creepy MARGOPTER and I LOVE her! With her task Run Diagnostics she first shoots off flames with a flamethrower, then shoots a machine gun, then holds 2 virtual menoras in her hands. I assume the menorahs are there since Artie is Jewish, and he would want his wife to observe the shabbat meal on Friday evening?

Still super miffed that she is not voiced. Not even her flamethrowing and shooting task!
However the beautiful building is sounded (voiced). Why is it so hard for EA to voice characters, where every building, shop and shack have sounds…

  2. Why did they give her a gun? ok i never saw the episode this Marge bot was in but i’ll always remember that one Marge Bot moment.

Artie actually made several Marge Bots and clones in this episode, and she is just one of them. Another Marge Bot has a toaster for her head and shoots toasts at Artie. This Marge Bot we are getting here has the guns and flamethrower, because she is a reference to the Terminator movies (her quest line is also called Judgement Day). Artie is actually creeped out by her because his team forgot to put skin on her robotic body.

  3. I agree with Alissa. I bought it just for the building. I am not a fan of robot 🤖 marge. I find the building to me nice looking. It looks like it belongs on the desert 🏜 . Which I am placing rocks 🪨 we got from the desert 🏜 update back in 2016 or 2015.

    • An interesting idea, Essence-1919. I may see how that looks as well; plus, I can add some cactus patches, too (…if there are any left in my inventory.)

  4. Really unique character. I could not tell what Marge looked like in the “game store.” I’m old and nearsighted and my glasses don’t help much. Upon release of the marge/ziff ‘wedding shack’ I jumped on TSTO’s Should I spend the donuts. To asses what marge looks like, along with her outdoor tasks.” aaah, she looks cool as.” Needless to say the Terminator marge is a new addition to my happy little town (very little town).
Note, the irony is not lost on me. I still can’t make out terminator marge and her outdoor tasks. But, because I saw it here. I can imagine how she looks in my town. Along with 400 other characters I can barely make out. Oh and I also have to read all the dialogue on TSTOA. Yea, can’t see that either.

HI Mike, do you play on a tablet? Tablets are much easier to view characters than tiny phones. And you also can connect a tablet or even your phone to a bigger screen, it’s called Casting!

I hope you can get that sorted out, it saddens me that you can’t see the game or these hilarious characters. The dialogue however, you’re not missing much, to be honest.

I LOVE CREEPY ROBOCOPTERMINATOR MARGATOR T2!

If only she was voiced and had more hilarious flamethrowing tasks… Like how hard is it for EA to have a woman actress voiceover a few robotic speech blurbs and add some metallic machine sounds????!

I still desire her deeply. Let’s see if I have enough sprinkles for both her and Fine Marge Ziff-Bouvier…

    • José González

Even worse… For a Robotic Woman voice they don’t even need a real person, they could just use a computer program. Shame on EA!

    • It is weirdly tone-deaf. Tress does a TON of the side characters. I suspect they don’t want to include her in licensing residuals for the game.

How petty or lazy can they be? This is Ebenezer Burns stingy level 100… Grog forbid a billionaire gaming company should pay a hardworking woman for her voice that helps make the cartoon alive and that 100s of thousands of people around the world love her for the last 30 years.

As Jose said, the robotic voice could be even done with a computer program, so the laziness is off the hook… All these sprinkles for a mute robot going berserk 😮 I will leave them a bitter review in my Playstore.

  6. It’s a nice set, but the creepy robot Marge would fit better with Halloween than Valentine’s (though both holidays are scary in their own ways).
