The End is Near for Cirque du Springfield…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a reminder that the Cirque du Springfield Event Ends TOMORROW March 16th.

It’s time to for the Circus to head to Shelbyville and for something new to arrive in Springfield!

As far as questlines go, what’s happened in the past is that the current prize you’re working on (on any Act questline) you were able to finish.  Once that current prize was completed then the questline disappeared.

This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.

As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.

Also, It’s EA so who the heck knows…the trend seems to be a week off between Multi-Events and Mini-Events. (although that was blown up after the last event…)  So it’s likely we’ll see nothing this week, and a mini-event next week. Perfect time for redesign work!

(and don’t forget about Showoff!  Submissions are due tonight!)

Now as far as what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…

  • Questlines linked directly to the progression of the event will go. Like the Main Questline that pulled you through all 4 Acts. (unless you’ve started one, any questlines started you’ll be able to finish that part one the event ends)
  • However, the questlines linked directly to the prizes and Premium Characters you’ve won will remain. (so Scuzzo, Cirque Ringmaster, etc.)
  • The event removal will likely require an app store update to fully remove it from your game.  So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game (or the splash screen remains the same)…  It will require an app store update to remove everything.

I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of the collection as far as you can. However, EA has really shut off the ability to play on “borrowed time”.  In other words, once the timer runs out the ability to collect prizes ends.  So don’t count on getting any extra time with this one.  Try to finish everything up before the timer runs out tomorrow morning. (9am ET)

So finish up those questlines, relax, and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

I’ll be back later today with the final dialogue for Act 4 of this event, to wrap it all up and find out just who got to Santa!

Oh and another reminder…don’t forget Springfield Showoff!  Submissions for your event designs should be emailed (TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com) by tonight.  So please be sure to send them in! 🙂

Are you sad to see the event go?  Or ready for it to finally be over?  How did you do with the prizes?  Get everything you wanted?  What are you hoping to see next?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. This is the only event where I didn’t purchase anything. Happy it’s gone and excited for the next one!

  2. I didn’t get a chance to get all the freaks. I’m missing the guy with exchanged leg and arm. Anyone know what’s up with that?

  3. I actually liked the circus event. I had hoped for the clown skins that were in the splash screen for Bart and Lisa. The main thing I felt was missing was an action task at the circus. I’m not sure what I’m looking for next. Maybe something along the lines of an international sporting event. That might be fun.

  4. Is call it the “1/3 was fun and then it quickly turned dumb!” 😅

I 💜 my Circus 🎪 Freaks New Content, but a majority of the New Content was crap (it’s dumb to expect Tappers to grind for what they can get that’s similar from Krustyland with Krusty Tickets !) So an enthusiastic A for everything Circus 🎪 Freaks but an F for the rest!

Am I being harsh? No, I refuse to defend the Dumb – I can applaud what I appreciate, but EA got L-EA-Z-Y again! 🙄

  5. Just finished this morning
Overall I’d say a C event. Just as with other themed events once the hype of a new event wears off you’re just tapping through act 3 & 4 without much interest.
Prizes were great though it’s just… There’s only so much i can do with all this circus stuff 😅😅

In general it’s just that these events are too long.
We’re mid March and we only had 2 events so far.
    Anyways
Really curious about the next mini event!

    • Fed,

I agree, this Multi-Act Event should’ve been 3 Acts in under 4 Weeks (finishing just in time to do a Mini Event for St. Patrick’s).
