Springfield Showoff: Cirque du Springfield

As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we sometimes find ourselves forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already πŸ˜› ) on YOU…our readers. From time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU.

So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in-game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small, and brag about it to the world. We want you to! Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.

This time around I wanted to see what you’ve done with the Cirque du Springfield stuff! With new and old buildings and decorations arriving with this event, show me how you fit them into your Springfield! Β It can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put anything in Springfield…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always, some of you guys came through!

Thank you guys (new and old) for sharing your designs!Β  I really LOVE that we got a bunch of submissions with this event!Β  Looks like you guys had fun designing with this one! There are some really great designs so let’s take a look at their hard work:

Once again we’ve used a Gallery to display your images.Β This allows us to get all of your images displayed, and show off your hard work! Β Simply tap the images below to be taken to the slideshow. Β The name of the creator will be listed at the bottom of each pic. (and as always they’re in alphabetical order)

What did you all think of your fellow Addict’s designs? Β Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

Stay tuned for the next Showoff announcement! Β In the meantime keep designing those Springfields!

  1. I like Steger’s Aquarium/Marine World. My aquatic area is scattered between Squidport, the water and Krustyland etc. A neat trick is if you have the resort from Springfield Heights, you can flip the balcony around to make an aquarium affect or put 2 elevators together to make a cylindrical aquarium.

  2. Following on from replies to sandrashill earlier, let’s see if this image of me going bonkers with the returning content works . . .

    • Nope, that ended up as just a link too. Must only be Addicts pics that can show in comments methinks.
      Sorry Sandra, we did try.

      • Actually, funny thing is, your picture did show up in the email I got with your comment! (I get an email for every comment anyone makes on this site.) That’s actually the main way I read the comments! Maybe someone else does, too, and can admire my circus-building handiwork. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

    • Graham,
      That actually looks pretty cool.
It reminds me of how the Roman Battalions would set up prior to an attack on the Castle.
      …..😎

  3. I’m still moving things around. I can’t decide where to put stuff. My poor little brain is stressed out ! 😱 I however, am really glad I bought the Freak Show tent, or whatever it’s called.
I kept wavering through out the whole event. The space I picked to put the circus πŸŽͺ stuff on looked unbalanced. Got it on the last day. LOL. Looks really nice with Burns tent. That’s it. I think I’m gonna take a short nap. LOL
    …………😎

  4. We got creative Tappers ! πŸ‘πŸ»

I’m still creating a Circus πŸŽͺ Freaks Section in my Springfield (or maybe I should just say Springfield Heights is changing – lol!) πŸ˜…

  5. Everyone has done a fantastic job. Thanks for sharing. πŸ‘πŸ‘ I missed the date for submission . LOL πŸŽͺ 🎈
Too much going on right now.

  6. Ooops – I missed the call for pictures. Here’s my TSTO Circus area!

    • Does anyone see my picture here, or just the imgur link? If it’s the latter I need to learn how to embed the picture so it shows right in the comment….

      • I think only Alissa and Safi can embed nowadays. We readers only get the option to post a link instead, just in case it’s a huge pic that messes up the page . . .

      • I can see it. I admire how organized yours is. I just relocated my Swelldorado hotel and moved the Ding a Ling in next to Cirque du Puree, so it’s kind of just smooshed together.
I was also late submitting my design and am lucky Alissa could squeeze me in there. Unfortunately, it’s an early screen shot of my Burnsum and Bailey circus. I’m distressingly low on frontier fencing so I ended up filling in with cornfields, which worked surprisingly well.

        • Thanks!

I thought about trying to incorporate the previous Cirque, but I really liked where I had that (it was with some other pink stuff and I liked the floodlights and the space I give it) and didn’t want to make the new circus area any bigger.

I bought a lot of the circus fencing (both the ton you can see in my circus area and a ton more in inventory), but I wish they’d offer a matching gate for every type of fence they offer. I usually just put one segment perpendicular to look like an open gate, but it would be nice to sometimes have a closed one. (Like for this circus, so that random circus-goers don’t just wander into the performers quarters.) I think there are only matching gates for three of the fences we’ve gotten over the years, but I may be forgetting one or two.

  7. Great work, I’m still can’t play and get in my account so having avling break without wanting it.

    • SoaceguruF1. What kind of system do you have?

        • Have you tried calling the ” ever so helpful” folks at E πŸ‘€ A πŸ‘€. ?
