It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

One of my neighbors, jackiehyat20, has made her City Hall the most perfect setting I’ve seen. I’m jealous every time I see it, and wanted her to know how elegant and simple it is. So, here it is, and I hope this doesn’t violate any rules!

I don’t think it breaks any rules, but it also doesn’t show up. There are limited ways to share images in the comments on this site…there’s an article about how to do that you can search for. I use IMGUR, which is a PITA, but works fine.

TIP: You can open a link in an Incognito / In Private browser tab to check if you need to be logged in to see it. Probably Long Press on a touchscreen, Right Click on a Laptop / PC
i guess that we all have different tastes….never recall seeing city hall look like that in the show.
Do you design your town to directly mirror the one on the show? While that could be fun, it does take away one’s ability to be creative with one’s town, I think. And there are too many buildings and decorations that we’ve gotten that that would be hard to do with…even if they appeared in the show, we don’t always see how they link up with the more familiar parts of town, for example. I don’t think that the developers expected us (or even want us) to just replicate what’s in the show with our designs.
That said, if that’s what brings you joy with your town, that’s definitely a valid option and, as I said at the start, could be fun, too!
I thought when you tapped on the Krustyland Entrance then tickets could be exchanged for game money but doesn’t show up for me now ?

I normally have something to spout off about…so how about…I had mentioned previously about how I’m excited to see the latest and greatest Wes Anderson film, “Asteroid City”..the art has been created…yet I am unable to see it in its full beauty. A favorite line of mine in His “Rushmore”….”these are O.R. Scrubs”…”oh..are they?”..I laughed like a lunatic. But..yes..I’m anticipating the closest arrival of this must see. If anyone out there is curious…just watch “The Royal Tenenbaums”.
Excellent weather here in Northern Maine..as usual..although we have had lingering smoke here and there from those fires in Canada..that Safi’s people can’t seem to handle..Largest Ploye Festival here last weekend…what a tradition…kinda like a mix between a pancake and a crepe…very French. Also have the annual Acadian Festival in August…we love to see people from away…so come join us. There is also an amazing music festival in Edmunston ..New Brunswick. Maine.. the way life should be.
One more thing…a little South of me..in ME..will be an amazing view of the April 8th, 2024 Eclipse!!…funny headline…an amazing 40 thousand people anticipated..in our city of 7 thousand. Remember the date…April 8, 2024….Northern Maine….Presque Isle to Houlton…way north…
Oooh, I haven’t heard of Ploye before, but now I want to try it! The other doings around you sound really fun, too! How warm is it up there? It’s hot and sticky down here in Massachusettes, so I’ve been staying indoors in the air conditioning for the past several days (and the next few, too…I may go out on Friday, but just to run a couple of errands).
As for Wes Anderson….while I’ve kinda enjoyed a few of his films, I’ve really disliked others, especially The Royal Tenenbaum’s which I found very unpleasant to watch (the family dynamics were what was unpleasant, IIRC). I also had to bail, more recently, on The French Dispatch, which I really wanted to like, about 20 minutes in. But, as I said, I’ve kinda enjoyed some others of his movies, although I’d say that overall, I’m not a huge fan of his.
Up North it’s been up and down. Was cool enough to actually turn on the furnace in early June, which I can’t remember doing before.but recently is been quite nice, but a little too muggy for my taste. Yea..ployes are pretty good…people normally have them with butter and or maple syrup..some with peanut butter. They are not thick like a pancake, but not as thin as a crepe. A few restaurants around here actually provide a couple with your meal..breakfast, lunch, or supper…or you can order them as a side dish. Lots of French Acadian heritage in this area, way north in what’s called The Valley, the St. John Valley, part of The County, Aroostook County..which I believe is the largest County in the country, size wise, but definitely not population wise. I’m sure you can find ploye mix in the flour/pancake mix area in your supermarket. I wasn’t aware you were in Massachusetts…I often listen to 98.5 The Sportshub via app, or watch their sports shows on NESN. Have a nice day….
I was happy to max out my boardwalk tiles and hit my 20th gold tile on Saturday evening, so I’ve wrapped up tile generation, just in time to start the next Act 🙂
20 gold tiles? How did you get enough cash for that? I had max cash before the Billionaires Club arrived. I got that, plus three(?) gold tiles, stopped making gold tiles for a while, and have about 2.2B in cash left…enough to make about 9 more tiles, if I were willing to spend almost all of it (which I’m not). What’s your bonus multiplier?
I think I depleted my cash down to about $2.5B from max generating tiles continuously. Multiplier is about 15000%
15,000?? Well okay, that explains it…mine is a “paltry” 2,377-ish. 😆 I, too, had been at max cash, but went down by more than half and wanted to recoup some before making the next tile, but it’s going more slowly than I expected. Today I miscalculated the zeroes and thought I had room to make a new tile (and more) without dropping below 2B, but, when I pulled the trigger, discovered I was wrong and I’m now at 1.9+. I’m working on increasing my multiplier (which I haven’t needed or wanted to do for years) and I’m going to start regularly sending God on that massive 24-hour task.
Okay.. this is too interesting. This is the first time I have seen the Open Thread empty for 2 days.. not a post showing up. Either that or the moderators haven’t validated any posts for this page.
So. I guess this will fill that void for a bit if that was the case.
