It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I keep getting the option to acquire the Shattered Dreams and also (I could be wrong but plz bear with me here) monorail tokens as daily task rewards. I’m sure I have picked up at least one of each but can’t find them. As a long absent/recently returned player I have probably missed the opportunity to use them. TIA for any advice.
You’ll get the Shattered Dreams Box between events. It’ll show up with a free token if you complete an event before the timer runs out or just show up after the event timer ends but no free token.
Collecting ’em from Monorail Turnstiles is one of 3 possible Daily Challenges.
The contents vary Box to Box, but the Tokens remain valid for any of those Shattered Dreams boxes.
You can find the Box in the main section of your Store and if you tap to see what’s in it it will show you how many Tokens you have.
OF NOTE – this one ends when the event timer does, Weds 12th

Completed the actions to win the daily actions prize this morning. I assume it was a land token (flat square gift wrapped) Collected it and it has disappeared. Left the game and re-started but still no sign. Odd.
Head to the edge of your map and enter Design Mode and tap on a tile as if to buy it and it shows the count for tokens. There’s no other way to see how many you have.
In case you didn’t know, there’s 592 tiles that can only be bought with tokens so save ’em and look out for the Golden Goose Realty in store – if it ever comes back. That’s the only sure way to get Tokens

I’m guessing there will be an update tomorrow, Shattered Dreams ends when this event does on Wednesday and I expect a Mini Event to start then – but it might be it needs Samsung to fix it or they still haven’t solved it.
Fingers crossed when you next need to head to Google Play for an update ..
I had the Box Factory and the Fireworks Factory as the only two items available to me in the ‘unique’ SD box. I used a token and was awarded the Box Factory.
When I opened the SD box again I expected to see just the Fireworks Factory, but was instead presented with all the non-unique items, including the Fireworks Factory of which I thought you could have only one in the town.
Anyone else had this happen?
Someone on the Forum said the same, but no obvious reason why and it still shows as unique – sorry

Yup, me too. Exactly the same combination. Bit annoying, but I’m not super bothered by the firework factory so I’m saving my tokens for next time,
I noticed something this week and its only because of the way I play tsto.
When you have a daily challenge task, e.g.
Send 5 Springfielders to shop for gifts
you can send npc characters to do the task.
Yup, but just the newer ones since they started calling ’em pets
Anyone seeing a lag in your game. My game is really slow when sending characters on tasks.
Have you got one of those send everyone Daily Challenges / older quests ??
They slow my games down.
If it’s a Daily Challenge see if you can Dismiss it then head to the Friends Towns bit and back.
If you can’t get rid get it over with and it should help.
