It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Hey everyone, not sure if I’m doing this right. Big fan of the game and found this site so I thought I’d ask how to get my Springfield out there for others to see??

KEM Farning. Does anyone know…..If I was to buy KEMs then recharge the XP multiplier JUST before I tapped them once built would I receive x5 the xp for them? TIA
As long as the collider is active before you collect it’ll multiply the XP you get

I am curious: if you buy the truckload of donuts and get Jebediah Springfield, will you have the option to buy the truckload again even if there is no prize or possibly with a different prize or is this a one-time purchase? Thanks.
You should be able to, but I have heard of players trying to get a bundle and seeing an error – you already bought this !!

Anybody having trouble getting prizes from Shattered Dreams box? It had three unique items for me to buy with tokens (which I did buy), but never received them. I checked my inventory and everything, but they are nowhere to be found. What’s makes it more annoying, it took my three tokens, sheesh!
Same here. I did get the Hans-Moleman Robot and the Holo decorations but not the others.
Are you sure they didn’t go into inventory ??
I had 5 unique items in my B town and got the lot.
One was a skin for Kang and I’ve not got Kang so that’s in inventory.
I checked my full inventory. One was the spy building in water.

I normally play the game with the sound off (except for Hunt-the-Maggie) because there’s only so many times you can listen to “I want to be the new Itchy and Scratchy game” without the amusement souring but I noticed the loud, weird, static-like noise coming from the Mansion Gardens Platform. I wonder if it’s an odd bit of programming or if it has any significance? Are there any other sounds worth unmuting the volume for?
Why would hunting Maggie play that dialog clip? That’s one of Ralph’s dialog clips! The only sounds you get from the hunting for Maggie game is the pacifier sound that gets louder as you get closer (which really helps in finding her…it’s like a game of hot-and-cold).
I think they’re saying they don’t want to keep hearing those other clips while they tap, and only turn on the sound to help with Where’s Maggie.

The shattered dreams box doesn’t open when I click on it. Does that mean there’s nothing in it? Or is there something wrong with it?

As far as I can tell it shouldn’t show up until you do and then it should work.
It’s Sci-fi Themed and there doesn’t seem to be any changes to it except to link it to this event.

Yes. All of the outro bits are complete. When I click on the shattered dreams box, the store closes without the box opening.
My B town Yearbook does that, never figured why !!
The only thing I can think of is something in there needs you to have something else too before you can get it.
My games will be wrapped up tomorrow so I’ll see what happens and hopefully work something out.
Worst case there’ll be 3 of us ( there’s one on the Forum too ) to start an AHQ thread and get it sent on to the Devs. Needs 3 or more players to report it before they can do that …
My B town worked, but the A town did that.
Just figuring wording for an AHQ thread …

Hello! I’ve only been playing for a few months, and finally decided to finish getting all the land and water in Springfield Heights. I’m now working on the land of the new frontier. I would like to know if there is a bridge, other than the wooden one, available to place over the river, and if so, what is it called? Thank you in advance for your help.

Is there a bug with the Bart error screen. I get it every time I try to play now. I haven’t been able to really play the last few events cause of it
I’ve had my C town running pretty much all day and only had that a couple of times.
It might be your device or router has a bad internet connection. Try rebooting them and see if that helps.
Kentucky fried Simpson I had forgotten about this prize completely until I saw it in one of neighbors town. I was, “Ooh I want that” then went to my town to see if it was a prize and yes it was. It took me a long time to find where I had placed it. Since most of the prizes are scattered through out my town and not placed together like I normally do. I really like the prizes for this mini event. I went ahead and purchased the Kirk sandwich 🥪 costume. I like the outfit plus I wanted to contribute to the game ever since I have been able to donut farm I don’t have a need to purchase donuts anymore but just purchase the ones that I like.

Thanks. I wanted to make paths for the golf carts, but just couldn’t get it to fit and look good when an angled path isn’t possible.
Got the enter month and year born screen. Then enter email and get the code etc.
logged in to EA and the game downloaded 1492mb of data.
And now getting the logged in on another device alert.
Closed app, restarted phone multiple times.
Any suggestions ?
There was an iOS update 16.5.1c that happened overnight.

As Sandra said that warning, or a Failed To Save message, is common on a fresh log-in.
I got the latter and I’m so used to not caring and hitting Continue I forgot about that until just now.
Thank you! Yeah, I gave in and hit continue. The “may not have saved” part is what worried me, seeing how it’s been ages now since I’ve logged into another device. All good now.

When they kindly zap those files it strips log-in as well as that mahoosive game files pack you need – wonderful !!
I don’t understand how your comment relates to what the article says. If there’s not enough spare room on your device for the game to operate properly, it’s understandable that the game will choke. Almost all apps frequently store and delete temporary info that was allows the app to work. But maybe I’m misunderstanding something…
Nah, it’s an Apple thing.
The game doesn’t choke, it has all the data deleted.
It seems Apple doesn’t do well clearing junk files so it zaps the game files as “Unused”.
I mean it completely removes all game data including the files for local saves and logins and that huge download you need to do if you re-install and it doesn’t even warn or ask. It just gets rid.
Wonderful.
Android doesn’t do that, but it might throw an error on not enough space when you try to update.
It’s one of the most frequently repeated topics I see on AHQ, the others being characters stuck on a group-send task or issues with rejected logins.
If the problem is the “logged in on another device” alert, just confirm that it’s okay to continue… don’t worry about that. It sometimes gets confused about that. I’m on an iPad with the same iOS version as you and am not having any issues. If you’re having a different problem that I’m just not understanding, let me know and maybe we can give better help.

Anybody else having issues logging in today ?
My A town randomly logged me out, but no trouble logging back in.
B and C towns remembered I was logged in.
( I use 3 devices, 1 for each game )
I got the “logged into another device error” then had to do the birthdate verification and had to quit and restart the game to have it get past a revolving Bart connection screen. Really, just the usual log in problem that happens about once a week for me.
