Addicts Open Thread

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread!  So, let’s get the conversation going!  Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long.  This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So, here is your Open Thread…..

Lots of things you may have missed this week around the Addicts Site:

Simpsons is off for the summer. But did you catch the 750th episode. Did you catch the episode reminder? What about the new Bracket Battle?

The newest mini-event hit our games last week. Did you check out Graham’s breakdown? How are you progressing?

How’s your Springfield design coming?  What are you doing with your town? Share some photos in the comments below! (If you need a refresher on how to add photos to the comments check out this post)

Any weekend excitement going on in your neck of the woods? Any vacations planned? Check out any new restaurants?

So chat about the Simpsons, TSTO, Update fun, or anything else you can think of! (Just no politics, it never ends well)  Can’t wait to chat with you all, you know we love hearing from you!

Have Fun!  And happy Sunday!

  1. Well you can ignore my previous post. It is no longer available on the google play beta apparently.

    • Devs / Support only like you to use iOS / Android / Kindle devices.
There are ways but mention ’em on any EA site and get told off !!
They probably pulled it rather than worry about fixing glitches on it and having to figure countless device details

  2. hey all.
i have finally been able to play TSTO on my desk top with the new google play games beta.
it is so worth it! your town comes alive and the view is much better,

    would highly recommend

My Shattered Dreams box just vanishes when I tap on it this time. It always had non-unique items in previous boxes – can anyone please tell me the contents related to the Food Wars mini-event? Thanks!

Hey guys, I was wondering if there is a list with buildings that makes you able to build parts. For example Stonecutters Tunnel, Praiseland Gate, Globex Compound, Great Wall Tower..
Are there more I should keep an eye out for?

    • Hello Dave! Going by the ones I have, in Springfield Heights you can get parts by upgrading the Exclusive Resort, Modern Mansion, and Classic Mansion. You can also get more ornate pier tiles by clicking on the Ornate Pier.

In regular Springfield you can get boardwalk sections by clicking on Barnacle Bay and Springfield Squidport. The Yellow Submersible can also give you boardwalk sections, but it’s random. The Old Ruins let you dig for relics, Globex Compound lets you build wings as well as additional office buildings, Duff Gardens lets you make gnome men and ladies, and you can also win some other decorations, like a beer can pyramid or a beer glass aquarium. The Stonecutter Tunnel lets you make additional tunnel pieces.

When you send the rocket off at the Rocket Launch Pad, it usually either gives you debris, a hail ants sign, or a small nuclear weapon. Springfield Dump will give you trash, which you can then recycle at the Metal Depot, Glass Depot, and Plastic Deport in order to make monorail pieces. Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant will also give you blueprints to make monorail pieces with, and I’ve also gotten a tunnel for the monorail with it.

So far this is all I have. A list of all buildings, etc. that give items would definitely be a great idea.

    • Oh, I forgot another one I have: The Great Wall Tower lets you make additional wall pieces and towers, so you can basically construct your own personal Great Wall of China 🙂

  5. Sometimes I wonder what type/category of game this is. It doesn’t really fit in any category.

  6. As there wasn’t a week’s rest before this latest mini event, do think we will go straight into an update this Wednesday ?

Hi, I got mutant peacock recently, and am told to tap on it, but it is impossible to isolate it to do so! It stays on the Main Street, hidden by hundreds of other characters! Any suggestions please?

    • Zoom right in then tap the quest in your taskbook and the Do It button should find it for you to tap.

With luck zoomed in it’ll hit the right thing rather than guess you tapped something else !!

    • I usually send all my other characters on a task so most of them clear out of the way

  8. So I got Rappin’ Bart from the yearbook, but now I have the 4th part of his quest to make him Rap Angrily, but it doesn’t give me an option to do that? Does anyone know what to? I tried to look it up and somebody said something about a stage, but I can’t find the stage in my inventory or anything?
