It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Does anyone know how to advance “Make Princess Opal Read Tarot Cards” in Moving in Hex-filled Circles, Pt 3?? Fat Tony’s job is complete but I can’t seem to get Opal to complete hers 🙁
I’ve been going on about that for over a year and even offered 4 potential solutions, but as a player there is nothing you can do until the Devs get it fixed.
The issue is there were 2 versions of the task and before you got to that you’d stored the table – like I did in my main town to see what happened – and that broke the quest.
When you got to part 3 the quest checked to see if the table was available but the task checked if you owned it so the jobs don’t match.
Unlike the one with Bart Sawyer and the Whitewashed Fence there’s no way round that.

OK I know The Simpsons is a cartoon, but can we please get our martial arts straight? Comparing judo and karate is like comparing wrestling and boxing. They are two TOTALLY different sports.
Judo is more like wrestling— throws and grappling, while karate is more like boxing— punches and kicks. Contrary to the dialog in TSTO, there is no board breaking in judo.
Sorry, this bugs me as I have spent several decades competing and teaching judo, and yet my friends still ask me how the “karate” is going. 🥋
I am so pumped for Black Friday this year, I’ve spent all year donut farming and I’ve cleared out my yearbook mystery box , im gonna buy everything that costs donuts this year! 😂
lets just hope it isn’t black Friday mystery boxes again…i just want to get anchor management this year so bad

Well I just pulled the plunger after finishing the THOH event but still finishing a couple side quests, bringing out the TG decorations and decided I’d give my critique a la modified Mod style: The Good, The Meh, and The Ugly.
There was a lot of good in this update- my favorite prizes were the facade for Bart’s Tree house, the Old Country Home and the Carnival Haunted House. I really liked that you could buy more of the alien flora and angry Christmas trees for in game cash, I have lots of design options for those. I had the bundle somehow without Xylem but EA quickly dispatched him for free. I’m not usually a fan of skins but Monster Hunter Homer has good enough animations I might use it from time to time especially if I can figure out how to make him BBQ in his backyard. Finally, I couldn’t imagine what EA could pull out of it’s sleeve to keep people from complaining about things not being ‘Halloween’ since we already have everything I can think of. I thought the ‘Ki-Ya’ characters was pretty clever.
The Meh- don’t hate it, don’t love it- the I&S Rocket, Burns Escape Pod, Army Holding Facility, Monster Business School, Stem Academy [so big I had to rearrange multiple things to place it next to the STEM conference center, that is oddly smaller] While I usually love facades, I have to look hard to even tell the difference with the Tire Fire facade.
The Ugly- Please EA, we have more than enough helicopters, crap looking junk like the portal device [the alien control panel only gets a pass because it matches the Alien Utopia and flora], Alien spore cannon. Not completing the Ki-Ya monster set- even though I like Alien Bart and MMA Jesus [I saved the first premium for a future mystery box] I would have preferred the full Ki-Ya character set. Finally, EA knows the continual plague of Red Screens. I rushed through so many times just so I could try and send characters on new tasks before I was kicked out.
Ending on a good note, this is the best Shattered Dreams Box I’ve had yet. 7 new items including my long coveted Burns Water Mansion, I just hope EA can also revitalize their Black Friday sale with some different offerings.

Personally I think the tire fire facade looks too different to the other two, I hate how recently skins and facades are different to the base designs of the character / buildings, if a tunnel opened in the centre of the tire fire, the pile shouldn’t change colour and shape
